Nice review of a great shotgun. Couple of notes to pad out the information on the F3, I believe it was developed by a talented Russian gunsmith called Sergi Popikov. So that's why they are a simplistic sturdy Russian design but built with great German engineering. Going by German WW2 tanks design, the Germans would have 60 or more extra moving parts in it i recon :) Also you missed one of the best features, the easily removed breech plate to access the firing pins for cleaning or replacement. You just need a torx 10 driver and remove two screws, the faceplate drops out, the pins just fall out, not having to worry about hammer springs. Also they changed the angle of the bite about 10 years ago from i think 7 degrees to 12. So some barrels not interchangeable, although one combination does fit, I cant remember which way. Blaser were also doing an update on the bite if you wanted that I believe at some stage.

Owned an F3 Luxus for a good number of years now and very happy with it shooting sporting clays and game. Please enlarge on the political issue.I see the price has escalated tremendously.Luckily the UK Service Centre is close to me and my gun is right up to date. but have wondered about this in the future if Blaser are not so prominent in the UK.

    Nice review on the F3
That wood work was fantastic !
Shoot one a few times and the Ejections on them are incredible, very smooth to shoot and move so well

    Hello Matt,
I owned a Blaser F3 Super Sport (high rib) for a few years, mine had a blued receiver and grade 2-3 furniture with 32” barrels. I agree that the triggers were very good and mine was about 3 pounds each. At first I was infatuated with a “high rib” shotgun because the Rib could be adjusted for different shooting disciplines, but the novelty wore off. As far as the “modular” design of the action I ended purchasing a brand new “mid rib” Blaser Vantage Barrel set. The Vantage Barrels fit perfectly with the receiver but the Forend had a little play in it when closed. All in all the Blaser was a fine shooting machine but I ended up trading it in a brand new Caesar Guerini Invictus instead. Again your reviews are always “spot on”!!

Great review matt I have always thought the blasers lack a bit of soul to their shotguns but are obviously Great guns in their own right ,I'd love to see a video of your own personal gun collection ,and why you chose and shoot those guns

We hear a lot about "German Engineering", a shooting associate of mine bought a F16 and had nothing but trouble with it. In the first three months of ownership the forend dropped off after coming loose and detached itself from the barrels while shooting. Then the ejectors started playing up, ie the timing went out out of kilter. They didn't eject at the same time and the bottom barrel would chuck it's empty case into the top of the breech face. It went back a couple of times and now it seems ok (touch wood).
The point i am trying to make is when one spends Blaser money on a gun it should be good to go for many thousands of rounds over the years.
I suppose the odd gun can slip through the QC checks but you don't expect that on a premium make.
On a plus note the gun shoots like a dream on the ESP range.
    I'll stick to my 725S.

Love my F3 .my own is an early 30" competition with grey action 2005.
I like the handling, it is so much better than the Beretta 682's that I used to use.
I just wish there was another service centre in the north.

Great review, and great gun! Had the pleasure of shooting one a few years back. The non engraved early gray style is particularly clean looking. Much more attractive design wise than Krieghof IMO.

Political reasons? Expand on that subject.. They are allowed to import to the US- so what's the reason... Blaser is owned by Krieghoff last I heard..
