Looking to upgrade I've tried the F3 twice now, 1st time on skeet 24/25 the next week 25/25 going back to my gun it felt awful compared to the f3. Needless to say the f3 is now on the shortlist.
Lloyd I owed a CG Summit Ascent for several years and recently bought Blaser F 3 Supersport. I have shot the CG Invitus and find that trigger excellent but IMHO the F 3 Blaser Supersport is heads and tails above the CG Invitus. Both the Invitus and Supersport are great shotguns but the German gun the one for me.....Excellent thread on quality sporting clay breaking machines 👍👍

I would love to buy this gun, but it is simply outside my price range. Do you know of any affordable guns that have an elevated rib, but parallel to the barrel as with the vantage? Alternatively, are you aware of any aftermarket elevated/adjustable ribs that can be fitted to an existing gun?
Last week my long awaited shotgun came to my hands from factory. A Blaser F3 sporting professional adjustable 32 inch. First impression from it was quite promising. Great wood with great fit on all parts but I have to notice that bluing was not so good. First day at home while cleaning the receiver from factory preservatives the F3 logo came out from the right side. I tried to stay calm. When gun assembled and came to.my shoulder second strike. The mid bid is off center to the right while top rib looked like a bow. The new gun is now back at its first week to the dealer. They said they have to change the top rib and see if the problem will be sorted. If not send the barrels to Germany. The gun came to me after 7 months from order and now I have to wait for a rib replacement for another two months, rib has to come from factory. What do you think? They said I was unlucky. Do you think that this has to do anything with luck? I paid 6.800 euros for God sake and I feel I have lost my confidence in a gun that it should never leave the factory at the first place if they want to keep customers. The funny thing is that it has a certificate in the case that certifies gun passed quality control. Someone at the factory must be blind.
@@lloydyp I did ask the very same question and they said that they never open a case when a gun is to go direct to a customer from factory. I think someone is avoiding responsibilities here. You've mentioned that the you didn't get along with the high rib Super Sport but can you comment on the mid rib vs low. I shoot a low rib and tried a F16 (very nice) but was wondering about the mid rib Vantage. Being in Canada chances of shooting one are slim to none. thanks and good videos.
+Norm W good point, I didn't mention the mid rib because I simply didn't notice it at all while shooting. To me that's a win, good head position and target visibility without being distracting.
Good review as always. It's just to bad that Blaser discontinued the F3 Game and Game Competition, if they were still in production i probably would have bought a Game Competition but now I ended up buying a brand new Krieghoff K-80 Parcours, just waiting for the licens to be clear.
have an F16 sporting and the recoil is pretty annoying. Having a F3 bonsi black built this weekend. Selling the F16, it says Blaser on it but it isn't nearly as good as it should be from Blaser.
The only competitor to Blaser is Krieghoff. Perazzi simply are not reliable enough, nor are the DT11s. There have been a number of people that have to had to borrow K80s to finish shoots in the last several years. The Beretta trucks at the shoots don't have parts for the DT11s and it is tough to fix a loose rib on a Perazzi at a shoot.
Coming back to be advised once more............could you comment please the quality oh the patterns that Blaser gives -tight,open,uniformity. Maybe compared to other brands you shot like Guerini Invictus, Beretta 692 or other. Thank you.
Honest answer, I don't pattern the test guns. Patterning is about getting fit and ammo choice right and with a gun I get for a short time to test it's just not worth it. If I can break clays with it, I am happy. I do have some patterns from my F3, but none from any of the other guns.

OOFF, now theres a question. Hmmm. Well I owned an F3 before the Kreighoff and I love the aesthetic of german design, the care and attention to detal, the simplicity. But the DT11 is one hell of a gun too, and I would be remiss if I were to ignore it's pedigree, they are superbly engineered too, removable trigger group with trigger pulls only rivalled by Perazzi. I realise that's not an answer but it's that close for me I don't think there is an easy answer.
Very nice review. It seems like a very promissing shotgun. There are complains that these guns do pierce primers. Have you ever heard of that issue or from your experience with the gun? Thank you.

Αναστασία Χατζησούκου thank you :). At the time I was shooting a lot of eley superb, and game bore velocity. Don’t know what the primer composition was though.
Hi love the video ,l have not been shooting that long so l don't understand the comment about fibre wads as that's all l can shoot where I go and would love to have an F3
+bromkin 12ga nominal diameter is 18.4mm, so if a gun is overbored to say 18.7 and you shoot fibre wads that do not expand there is potentially a tiny gap around the wad. To be honest unless you are shooting at a really high level I doubt you will notice a loss of muzzle velocity.
Hi sir, talking about Blaser enginnering and precision, look at the first minute of your video, freeze the image,.......................a huge gap between forend wood and barrels. Not very encouraging for the status of the gun. Have seen a lot better fits in less expencive guns. Your comment please !!
Why on earth would you want the wood to touch the barrels? Remember fore end is only there so you have something to hold, the barrels float on the fore end iron. The size of the gap means nothing as long as it's consistent.
Maybe i am wrong but it was always a pleasure to me if there was no gap between forent wood and barrels-not firmly, just with no gap- It seems like a better quality job. And if wood to forend iron has a gap it doesnt mean that it is a real problem but it sure is at least aesthetically not good. And a comment for the 18.7 bore, isnt that too big? why the change ? Its better now?
Christina Magou overboring is pretty common for competition guns, only a problem if you are shooting fibre wads. Little or no gap between the wood and the Barrels just means you wear off the blueing or in this case the Nitride.
Being at my shooting club on Sunday, curious on this forend thing. I shot my brothers XS Prestige Browning. Got in my hands exept that in a DT 11 , a 692 , a guerini invictus. No F3 available. None of them had a gap on forend wood-barrels, at least i could see. No bluing loss for them, maybe cause they are fairly new. Just wondering........ whats the better approach in this matter.
You mentioned that the depreciation on the vantage is not a lot. I have seen a lot of 2017 models selling for between £4750 and £5500. Most are in superb condition. To me, that is a hefty loss for a premium gun. I have actually enquired about one but this is a bit off putting.
@@lloydyp hello again. Yes, I understand what your saying. Don't get me wrong, I am still considering upgrading to one. It's just that, for example, I have a Browning Ultra XS and was offered only £100 less for it a year after I bought it and that was from a dealer so the 2 year old Blaser prices compared to new is quite a loss. Having said that, like I said I will still be looking into investing in one given their build quality and reviews. Thanks for your video reviews . They are a great help.
@@colincassie1 I think you are basing your opinion off too small a sample size, you lose 20% of a guns value as soon as you walk out of a gun room on a new gun. Some guns when in high demand will be really strong but across the board you will lose money buying new trading in. If you buy a gun at 5k, use it then trade up to say something at 7k, expect the dealer to bid you 3.5 to 3.7 to sell your old gun between 4 to 4.5. dealers have to make margin or they won't be dealers for long.

Got in my hands exept that in a DT 11 , a 692 , a guerini invictus. No F3 available. None of them had a gap on forend wood-barrels, at least i could see. No bluing loss for them, maybe cause they are fairly new. Just wondering........ whats the better approach in this matter.

Thanks for watching.
You mentioned that the depreciation on the vantage is not a lot. I have seen a lot of 2017 models selling for between £4750 and £5500. Most are in superb condition. To me, that is a hefty loss for a premium gun. I have actually enquired about one but this is a bit off putting.
I'm afraid I don't get your point, the vantage new is 6k, that's pretty strong second hand money to my mind.
