I must admit I was watching the deck too, with my fingers crossed. Good Job. I can imagine this is not really easy to master, but I think you did it well.
You did a fine job on that, smooth and took your time. Speed will come with more practice. Once you get the hang of the dangle, you'll be surprised what you can do with it.
That is awesome Chris, the more machines you know how to operate the more work you'll have, but the excavator is where you're a top notch indeed. God bless you, keep up the good work....
Hey you aught to see me fumble ass around on an excavator.. I rented my neighbors 120 for a week once and busted the front windshield out bent the cab handle and smashed in a side panel... Felt like an idiot but he was patient with me and I fixed it all
Haha it's not rocket science that's for shore I bet it all relates back to the first prentice loaders that had a cable throw grapple on them and never changed off that
DigsDirtDigsMusic I Never drove a log loader but have run other equipment , I would guess from looking at the video's log loaders are about as precise as a 14lb sledge hammer driving 1" nails in plywood. The excavator is very precise for control, Chris and many other guys can pick up full coke cans and stuff with them and bucket grapples.. The log loader swings and moves all over the place I would guess he and many other operators would squash the can with that log grapple swinging around .
tractortom401 Hi Kinda sounds like when I drove JCB backhoes regularly 15 years ago, Then went and jumped on a Hitachi track hoe, a guy wanted fixing a month ago. Within about 40 seconds the JCB pattern came right back in my head. I was having a hard time with the Hitachi controls being on opposite sticks for some functions. I guess it's like they say about bikes once you learn you don't forget after many years not riding.
tractortom401 yeah that whole push the lever out to stick in just makes no sense to me. I heard it was a safety feature so if you shoved a log in the cab and hit the lever it would cause it to stick out?
Well Chris, since all the deck boards are still on the trailer, I think you did pretty damn good. LOL
CumminsDslPwr that was what I thought lol

To me, it looked like you did pretty good!

Fancy bit of video editing there. Nicely done.
I think Chris you Are a quik
Learner keep it up.....
I reckon you did real good as there doesn't look like any damage to the lo-loader. I think that grab could crush or tear up most things!!

Hi,
You say you’re learning but you seem to carry a lot of info over from your dirt moving machines and are doing pretty well!
Gotter bud you look like a natural
Logger Wade haha thanks but I know you are lying Im horrible on it!
Haha..

Logger Wade that's because a loaders controls make no since! they could be run just like a excavator but noooo lets just make it rocket science
Haha it's not rocket science that's for shore I bet it all relates back to the first prentice loaders that had a cable throw grapple on them and never changed off that
jump on a old Prentice that has 47 levers. those were operators that could run them!
if you can run a big hydraulic rock breaker - the boom and percussive moil kind - could I run one of these ? and where can I hire on ?
You can work for logger Wade now
Does right hand drive feel different?
FDR SOUND
How is it different from an excavator?

super6954 Also all the controls are reversed. The swing and boom controls are on opposite sides compared to an excavator on most log loders.

On the one I ran, the stick and boom were on one joystick and the grapple open/close/rotate is on the other stick. Swing is a foot petal.
