As of my knowledge Over filling the oil than the recommended level will cause engine oil leaks from gaskets over time and is also bad for the valves as the oil pressure will be much greater.
never pour extra engine oil.
Since it was leaking, I had filled the engine oil completely till the top. I could feel the resistance, engine performance was reduced drastically, vibration and exhaust sound had changed. Finally, It had become normal after releasing some engine oil.
So, even if it is 300ml, it would have caused some resistance to your engine.
Check your mileage.
Awww my favorite Moto UA-camr😍
Im gonna own a himalayan soon and I'm getting all this valuable knowledge 🤍 love from tamil nadu brother 💌
Means a lot, thank you. All the best for your Himalayan :)
I tried this oil. I have it in my Himalayan now. Only difference I found is that the gear shifts are smoother. That's it
Any engine oil to reduce overheating in city?
How much life for this oil
My attendance here 🙋♂️
Thank you 😊
Always brightens up my mood the moment I see you have an upload
Aww! Glad you enjoy it, thank you 😊
Bro, take this from a mechanic, You never overfill Engine oil ever, don't ever exceed the service manual recommended quantity. It's going to mess up the oil pressure and might also damage your oil pump.
I didn’t overfill it. The owners manual actually suggests 2.0 litres. You can check it by yourself, I’ll attach a link below. Page 8

Bro ,in my manual its written apprx 1.7ltr
@@bobinyohannan5498 I think you need to read the manual before commenting. Its mentioned 2.0 litres during periodic maintenance and replacement.
@@SpilTrez the manual is of BS3. BS3, BS4 & BS6 have different oil capacities. I am mentioning below the capacities taken from the respective manuals of the BS Versions.
BS3
2.3 Ltrs. (First Fill only) 2.0 Ltrs. Approx. (during oil & filter element replacement in periodical maintenance)
BS4
1.8 Ltrs. (First Fill only ) 1.6 Ltrs. Approx. (during oil & filter element replacement in periodical maintenance)
BS6
2.3 Ltrs. (First Fill only ) 1.6 - 1.8 Ltrs. Approx. (during oil & filter element replacement in periodical maintenance)

I know right, it felt really good 😍😅
You make me feel good in the four walls 🖤🖤
Awww! Thank you 😊
Motul is one of the best oils in the world.
Biggest mistake, after you change the engine oil and you load in fresh oil , start the bike and leave it without revving it , so that the oil is circulated to all the parts of the engine , because you drained the engine completely and the parts would be dry , so start the engine and don't revv it , let it idle it for sometime and then you can go out
im sure spiltrez will change the world oneday

മീൻകാരൻ ആയിരിക്കും bro 😅💓💓
adhe 😅😅
Don't use wd-40 for cleaning it may damage rubber gasket..use brake cleaner or normal cleaning spray
Awaiting for your rides bro
Soon brother 😍

Ayee! Thanks ❤️
your surroundings are so pristine and so beautiful thats why its know as God's Own Country, Cant get enough of your content come with more, waiting for you trip vlogs
I know right and I’m very grateful about that. Riding soon 😍
Great review 👏 loved the trick of using cardboard to direct the flow of oil, simple but genius 👌 Can you tell me the cost of 1 litre and 5 litres of oil in your country.
Thanks 👍
After a long time brother, how are you 😍 much love from West Bengal
I’m good bro, how about you?
You're back😊👍
Where did you dispose the oil? That’s the only thing stopping me from making oil changes.
Spiltrez. Are you present boy.
Me. Present buddy☺
Back again with bike related things 💓💓💓💓
Oh yea 😅
Yo cool buddy. Angana athum chaithu for the first time engine oil change. Congratulations bro
haha, ellam try cheyyanam :D
This engine oil is really good @110 bike is super smooth..Can last 4.5k-5k km.. 😊
what is blue cap on the Stem???
A fully synthetic oil would last you 10000 kms but again that's under ideal conditions. Indian conditions plus the way we ride are not ideal. I would suggest putting fully Synthetic motul 7100 oil and that should give you a better replacement duration. Although if you have a combination of city traffic riding plus highways then change even the fully synthetic around 6 to 7 k mark.
The same "GoPro" Problem mumbaikar nikhil was also facing
Then he advised to update the software of his GoPro
And now it's working fine ✌
Nice info and good job
Glad you liked it!
My fav oil. I use for scooty and two splendors and one jawa bike. Best bro if this workout for himalayan . I will use for that also
Great 👍
Well explained 👏

@@SpilTrez hehe...I actually asked as I m planning a ride to Hampi from Bangalore, day ride, so just wanted to know if it is safe? Like travelling now is not safe at all but law and orderwise
@@KibaKibiOfficial I think it should be alright after July 5th in terms of restrictions and stuff.
🔥Super video bro love from Maharashtra 🔥
Thank you so much 🙂
Should we change the engine oil for Himalayan at 2500 km ? After the first service.
I did mine at 500km, will do the second one at 3000km, and then 6.5,10,15,20.
No, they change the oil during first service i.e. 500km. It’s good if you change your oil every 4000-5000km.
@spiltrez so the oil which is put during the first service can last upto 4000km ?? I heard that it’s good if we change at 2.5km. What do you think?
Love ur motovlogs ❤
Thank you brother 😄
Bro, I am addicted to your channel 🤪😍
Haha, thank you very much ❤️
Bro I did as you said now I can see bubbles inside the oil level checker
Is that Vilapilsala ??
Which city / town is this .. looks amazing
As best as always !
Thank you 😊

Me waiting for spilltez to make a vedio tour for leh or snow mountains😣❤❤❤❤wish it comes sooner
Woah, time will come 😁💪🏾
@@SpilTrez whope ur upcoming vedios are of it😌❤❤
Pro tip: Engine oil colour doesn't determine the quality of engine oil. Black/dark engine oil still serve its purpose.
I agree but dark oil can mean multiple things as well. It could simply just be darkened because of the additives or the darker shade could result if the oil has also been cycled through too many times, and it’s time for a change.
yeah thats true , in this case the oil has lost its viscosity it more likely feels like water. My friend has an himalayan unlike spiltrez he takes it out for small commutes thus lot of heat cycle for the kilometer under consideration the oil lasts only 3000kms - 3500kms(max) for him . Royal enfield maintance schedules and maintance is worst piece of shit. To have a peace of mind , me and friend only go there when we have free service on 10000kms interval besides that we change it every 3.5k kms ourself.
Bro where did you get your engine gaurd ?
From Royal Enfield itself.
Do you upload the video of air filter changing ?
Sir please make a video how to maintain our bike’s colour ....Your bike’s engine colour is good as new...pls share some tips
Sure I will 👍
How us the vibration in this bike normally and does the engine oil removes all vibration ? … i have thunderbird x … want to upgrade to himalayan …. If you plz clarify the vibration issue it will be really helpful …… thanks in advance and great vlog in deed ❤️
engine oil can't remove vibrations from a vibrator, it can only reduce them very slightly.
porate ponote
wen are u leving kerala
July 5th or 6th :)
ENJOY THE TRIP (^-^)
@@swap137 Thank you
Bro kindly drop a hint where are you going..for next road trip? Ladakh?
Not Ladakh for sure. It’s south India 👀
Bro There should be maintain how many liters of petrol minimum in Himalayan
❤️bro awesome
Thank you ❤️
Any problem come we fill 2.5 liter engine oil for Himalayan bs6
Only fill suggested 1.6-1.8l engine oil in himalayan bs6, any extra 200/900 ml will cause, oil leakage, also noise from tappet will appear.
@@amitkrupal1234 thankyou for the information bro 👍👍👍
Your work reminds me of Sriman Kotaru.
Haha, does it? 😅
Bro I think in manual it is mentioned to change oil every 5000 km
Super bro ❤️ Himalayan 😍
Thank you 😊
Bro I am thinking to change my bs6 himalayan engine oil I am trying to put the 20w50 motul engine oil because some dude Sayed it can fix engine noise.will i face any issue on my bike due to this
Do drop a review of the new oil
Will do it after I use it for a couple of days.
When are you doing leh ladakh?😅
I have no plans to do it anytime soon. Let the situations calm down because I want to do it peacefully with minimal restrictions.
Waiting for it eagerly
Great video! Just a doubt! Where do you dispose the drained oil?
Drink it with ice
@@arjunmaheshwari6021 May be I should have elaborated the question. I was referring to, in a home setting, how would you dispose used oil in an environment friendly way, rather than throwing out! In a garage setting you can collect all the oil, and can be used for recycling, which is not an option while doing at home!.
PS: keep enjoying iced oil drink.😏
How did you purchase the oil filter bro? ASC people not giving counter sale if any spares. Give me the details where you procure genuine spares in Bangalore
what grade oil were you trying to purchase in Motul 7100? I couldn't find the 15W-50 grade oil(which is recommended grade by RE) in Motul 7100.
Brother give us a home tour of yours
Really? haha, I'll try to make it :)
@@SpilTrez waiting brother
The smoother means better
Don't overfill the engine!
There's a glass window near the oil filter on your engine. Look carefully you'll see two lines on that, you should only fill the engine until the oil level reaches the upper line, and should keep an eye on the engine oil levels if it drops from the lower line you need to put in some oil.
I could see it was your first time doing this I'll suggest that you should watch the oil change video from On Two Wheels Ben. Putting too much oil isn't good for your bike.
Bruh, I didn’t overfill it. Owners manual actually suggests 2.0 litres. You can check it by yourself, I’ll attach a link below. Page 8
www.royalenfield.com/content/dam/royal-enfield/ownersManual/Himalayan_Owners_Manual_Domestic.pdf
@@SpilTrez my manual shows 1.6-1.8 litres
Hey SpilTrez, could you please provide information on solutions for type punctures on himalayan. Could be a headache during touring
To be honest, I don’t have a solution. The only true solution currently is to carry spare tubes, air inflator and tools and do it by yourself.
@@SpilTrez , thanks brother. I watch all your videos
Yaa its good bro but its good when you wash with petrol I think 😅♥ what you say bro
