BEST 1080P AMD BUDGET PC BUILD 2024
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 вер 2024
- Todays video is all about building a budget 1080p AMD pc and boy I think we delivered! For a similar cost to the latest gen consoles this little powerhouse will be perfect for those people looking to get into pc gaming at 1080p.
It performs great and with a touch of RGB it doesn't look too bad either!
Its 6 core Ryzen 5 5500 CPU with be great in almost any games and that coupled with the RX6600 and its 8gb Vram is still a great budget option even in 2024.
I hope you enjoyed and if you did lets see if we can reach 200 likes! (Please)

For sure. always something to learn even though I a not a huge fan of micro mobo
@Voivod74 thanks mate 👍
@@TechCheckUK 3 things you should change is the 5500, motherboard and the ram. The 6600 is an x8 4.0 GPU and it does lose a disturbing amount of performance by being run on Pcie 3.0, by getting a 3600, you get 4.0 support and slightly more CPU performance for 10-15£ cheaper. Also by getting a 3600, you can get the AsRock B450M/Ac which is way cheaper than the gigabyte B550M, has wifi and a better Vrm that will handle upgrades better. Lastly Vengeance DDR4 doesn’t have the greatest reliability record and the T-Force Vulcan kits are cheaper and better. You can also save another 10£ by getting the A550BN instead of the A650BN
@82_930 agreed on everything you said from a statistical POV I have used all these parts mentioned 100s of times. Issue being 3600x here locally (none available) also wanted new not used. Tbh at 1080p on a rx6600 running at gen 3 x8 vs gen4 x8 for roblox isn't going to matter (For a little girl 10 years old 1st pc) appreciate you sharing your knowledge though thank you
@@TechCheckUK i’m not talking about the 3600x though, the 3600 non X is 80£ new in the UK
It's nice to see a budget build that's actually "budget." So many creators seem to think that $1200 without peripherals is "budget" these days.
Well... Bought used 6950XT and used 5700X, PBO manual basically 4.7GHz all cores, new 1440p 144Hz monitor, 1TB nvme ssd, 850W deepcool PSU, thermal grizzly paste, cherry 2000 mouse and keyboard pad, it is 5mm thick and cost only 20 euros and 7 arctic P12 pwm fans. 1100 euros total. Not good for the American or Australian market that I have been watching, but decent for my European small country. Beautiful performance. You may be asking, where is the rest? Well, beauty of the AM4. Cheap asrock B450m pro4 delivers. 7 years old now. 😂
Love it mate and truth is if it performs and your happy that's all that matters!!! Thanks 4 sharing and nice build 👍
@user-zg8ey4zn4p Thanks mate yeah 1000 €$ or £ ain't a budget system - I always try to mix the builds up from £500 ish to £3500 at top end. Thanks 4 watching and 4 the support I I appreciate it 🙏
lol the difference. I live in Brazil and this same config here costs 4 minimum wages I wish it could be just R$ 1200
@zaphkielbellofiore185 oh wow that's expensive 😕
You sort of look like a british Bayashi, love the build btw
Haha he's a Japanese food youtuber ain't he! Thanks 4 watching mate 👍
5500?!? Really?? The 5600 is a much better choice. Sure, it costs a bit more, but it has PCIe 4.0. But I recently built a machine with the RX6600, and it's an incredible 1080p card. Entertaining video though. Good looking little build.
100% agree with you mate 👍 if I had additional £80 100% would have gone for 5600x and had the additional benefit but client had a stict budget and it was 5500 and rx6600 or 5600x and then 1060 6gb - appreciate u watching thank you
Yeah but are the speeds really that different, like noticeably different?? The ram is still ddr4
@MisfitParker the 5600x has higher base clocks plus a larger on board cache and ultimately 10% faster than 5500. In games playing at 144hz 1080p it's in reality 10-15fps difference- I hope that answers 🙏
@@TechCheckUK yes it does ,haha thanks mate ✌🏾🤓
@@TechCheckUK wow, here the 5600x is only $50 more. I did mean 5600x. I recently put together an all white build, lit it with white as well for my mom that has the 6600 and a 12400. I love the way it turned out and looks but she doesn't, she like the rainbow puke look. So I bought another 6600, black one this time cus why pay the white tax, and will be pairing it with a 5600 non X that I have laying around. I wax genuinely impressed by the performance of the 6600 at 1080p.
Love seeing an actual real budget build, and not what these rich YT producers spew out which is typically $1500+
Thanks mate really appreciate you watching and taking time to comment 👍
Great video!
I am self-taught and I did my builds many times thought the years.
I can just say that you talk really clear, your energy is great and with your video, even toddler can build it's own PC.
I would just add some small tower cooler with 2-3 pipes, better cooling and better airflow.
This build is also great cause you can upgrade it to 5800x3d and some stronger GPU if you need in the future.
Thanks mate love the positivity- yeah the young lady I'm sure will upgrade in the future - it's was a 10 year old girl to play roblox etc for her birthday 🎂 she loves it and why not it's her first pc! Absolutely agree a little more cooling would be ideal but can be added later down the line just like the performance if needed. Appreciate u watching buddy Thanks 😊 🙏
came to this video after deciding choosing a gpu and cpu myself but looking for recommendations for mobo and case. Nice to see you also went with the 6600 and something similar for the pcu (i went 3600 but the 5500 seems to be almost identical and where i live the 3600 is much easier to find).
Nice mate - yeah I love the 5600 and rx6600 or 3060ti great combos - mobo - I love msi vdh pro wifi b550. Cases are personal preference tbh mate so many choices especially on a budget. I appreciate you watching thanks 👍
@@TechCheckUK actually, to update this, I checked out the complete systems at my local CeX stores and grabbed myself what I personally think is an insane deal.
i5-10400F, GTX 2060 6GB with 16gb RAM, a 500GB SSD and a really nice windowed cooler master case with 4 RGB fans. Motherboard seemed pretty high end too, even with some RGB. Obviously it's a used system and I haven't given it a full test yet since it's a secret Christmas present for my brother and I have to wait til he's out the house to do so, but I gave it a quick boot and it turned on without issue and the fans were dead silent whilst spinning so I know it runs and have a 2 year warranty on the system too. All this cost me £270. Cex also sell 2TB barracuda HDDs for £30, so I may buy from there too and I personally think that's a hell of a good value system for bang on £300. Honestly jealous of him now coz he's ended up with a nicer pc than my own 😂
Hi sir can I ask why you did not choose the ac ver and why you choose the pcie wifi is there a difference between the overall performance
Non really in performance it was customer preference mate that's all.
Hey! Thats my pc for my bday! Thx for building it for me
Your very welcome and hope you had a great birthday 🎂 🥳
@@TechCheckUK ty
No problem 😊
I stop watching after u said 5500
Why
who else watching pc builds but dont have money to buy parts 😂
Yep me atm
@@TechCheckUK what is the best budget friendly amd build?
I stopped watching when you applied thermal paste on the CPU and did not clean the paste from the stock cooler.nice job
I would normally remove but there was no need as I could tell it was fresh. Appreciate u watching
Yeah that was the weirdest thing I’ve seen in a while.
Haha 🤣 yeah it was a little weird mate
@@TechCheckUKhow do you tell if it's fresh or not?
It will look wet mate and when it's really dry it's old and you don't want that as it affects the thermal conductivity. Thanks
What PSU is best for r5-5600x + rx-6600xt?
600w PSU is perfect mate - get a decent brand such as corsair, evga, seasonic and gold rated - be mindful that modular ones are easier to use but will be slightly more expensive
U build and we don't like....
It will never happen.❤
Aww mate appreciate it thank you 😊 🙏
This PC was for my daughter, who mostly plays Roblox, records content, and creates PowerPoints. She absolutely loves it. Great build for her needs! Thank you! Very much appreciated. 😊
Anytime richard and glad she likes it mate 👍
Hopefully the 7000 series gets to this price point. Great build for many users for the price.
Yeah me too mate I think it will be some time yet though but you never know once 9000 series releases - then at least there is an upgrade path.
Similar to my pc, i got a 2nd hand case and psu for 60quid, 2nd hand rog strix b450m and 3700x for 100, 2nd hand 16gb corsair vengeance for 20quid and bought myself a new 6650xt for 220 and 1tb nvme ssd for 50quid so all in got a decent gaming pc for 450quid, i only play dayz on it and and it runs great at 1440p so im happy
Love it mate - bargain and just shows you didn't have to spend a fortune to enjoy! Appreciate it mate 👌
Great little budget build mate, these budget cases have come a real long way since I started building years ago. Hinged doors, tempered glass and 4 included RGB fans for under £50 is unbelievable value.
Take care mate, and keep them coming 👍
Yeah absolutely pal - it was great for less than £50 and looked ok too 👌 thanks 4 everything 👍

Nice build buddy great price too 👍 thanks 4 watching and sharing your build.
Keep going ❤
Thanks mate appreciate it 👍
Thank you! Very similar to the build I am planning for, except RX 6650XT GPU.
Nice mate and good luck on the build 👍 thanks 4 watching
Nice little build inside a decent looking case
Thanks pal 4 watching 👀 I appreciate the support 👍 🙏
Am4 still worth it?
If your below 600 yes BUT just need to be aware there's no upgrade path without new mobo cpu and ram - extra 250 and you would be on b650. Still games great at 1080p so depends on budget pal 👍 appreciate you watching 👀
Great build thanks for sharing
Thank you for the continued support 🙏
Did this case have argb? And a 3 pin on the board? Cracking little starter for someone
The fans can either be connected via reset button or comes with 5v 3 pin connector for mobo and yes mobo has both 12v and 5v ARGB headers mate 👍 thanks 4 watching 👀
Ah yes, the good old Intel i5 5500! (in description)
Lol oops at least someone reads the description mate thanks 4 pointing this out!! Late night 🌙 😴 appreciate you watching pal 👍
It's a nice build. I wold like only to upgrade MB to B650, CPU to Ryzen 7, and memory DDR5 64GB. I need also an extra M.2 slot for WiFi. Which MB could you recommend?
Did you see this one? - ua-cam.com/video/Sj2dUmM71FU/v-deo.html will support ryzen 7 has on board wifi and 3 m.2 and upto 128gb ram mate great price too 👍
@@TechCheckUK It looks interesting. I only a bit biased against Asus.
No problem mate lots of good boards out there! Good luck on the search 👍
Awesome build !!
Thanks for the positive feedback mate 👍
I love the swing out panel on that case! More case makers ought to use them!
I agree mate - easy to access and can be easily removed if needed - Thanks 4 watching 👀 👍
Yes? 👍but,,,as much as you give!!!
Thanks mate 👍
clean build i love it. would've loved to see it in action tho
Thank you mate and I'll get some gameplay and benchmarks for next few builds- I really appreciate you watching and taking time to comment 👍
Can u try some games on it ❤
Nice video❤
I promise I will in next vids - I have so many todo I hardly get chance to actually test them but cos I do so many I'm aware of the performance but would ve good to show that to you also so appreciate the feedback and thansk 4 watching 👍
I wonder if R5 7600 witj RX 7600 will do any good for now and future (GTA 6 preferrably)
Yes it will be mate but will all depend on resolution and in game settings too. Thansk 4 watching 👀
@@TechCheckUK i prefer 1080p. Hope with fsr and afmf it will be alright. Mainly I can swap out gpu for a new one but like I want the rest of the setup to be future proof
Yeah just wait for new amd gpus there's gunna be some crazy new stuff which is always good to see 👀
@@TechCheckUK true but it might go over budget💀
Lol there's always a chance of that 🤣
Can it run Beam NG?
Oh 100% mate will run that sim no problem
@@TechCheckUK Currently, Beam, ACC, Raceroom, Arma 3, Elite Dangerous and Raceroom are my heaviest games. Still undecided if I want to go AM4 or AM5.
If it was me and you can save an extra couple months I would am5 better upgrades and path for future but costs a little more to start
only reason to pick b550 motherboard over older ones and cheaper ones is support for gen 4 pci but your cpu dont even support that lol. spend 10$ more and get 5600 with gen 4 pci and RX6600 is nice but it will run slower on gen 3 pci lanes because it have only 8 pci gen 4 lanes.
Lol 5600 at time of build was £126 and 5500 was £ 79.98 that's £46 quid diff admittedly what your saying is correct around pcie gen 4 x 8 vs gen 3 x8 but 6600 can't even max out gen 3 x8 anyway! At 1080p playing roblox ona 144hz monitor it's 10fps and I don't think a 10 year old will care! We had a budget and not a penny more pal thanks 4 watching
@@TechCheckUK oh ok, here in latvia can get 5600 for 107 eur or 91.13 pounds or add 3 eur more and get stock cooler included for 110 eur.
Thats amazing value 👏 nice
Great build and always nice video!
I appreciate it mate thanks 4 the support 👍 🙌
Can I use this same motherboard to upgrade to Ryzen 7 5800x3d?
Question is would it work yes BUT I wouldn't use this board with a 5800x3d mate
@@TechCheckUK Why?
@priincexavi5504 because of the vrm cooling and lack of pcie lanes mate that's all - 5800x3d is £250 cpu and pairing it with a £80 mobo don't make much sense BUT if you want to it will work mate
Yet again a great build mate 🎉
Thanks mate 👍
mb
I don't understand sorry - thanks 4 watching
@@TechCheckUK ah "don't understand' my initials, mb, simply indicates I viewed the entire broadcast in my monitor / auditor capacity taking it all in.
Sorry buddy went straight over my head!! Let me say thank you and I appreciate you watching and hope it can help in one way or another 🙏
Skip 5500
Why £80 in UK 50% of a 5600x
@@TechCheckUK only reason to pick 5600x over 5600 non x if they have same price.
Agreed
