    I put Clifton Powell up there with Denzel Washington and Will Smith. I've always told people that Clifton Powell is one of my favorite actors of all time. When Charles Dutton and Clifton Powell played their roles on the show Roc those episodes sent chills though my body 💯

    Very underrated actor, I met Clifton Powell on set of Father of Lies in 2007. The cast included, Vica Fox and DMX. All were very down to earth people. The same game he's giving in this interview he gave to me. He's a stand up guy!✊🏿

      @@rmccaindet YES! Beats, units, and tempo are vital when scoring the script. Clifton literally taught a master clinic for FREE while I'm paying college tuition at TRI-C to learn the same thing. I hope up and coming actors really paid attention to this

    Clifton Powell is the reason I just finished my first semester of Theater Appreciation and Acting 1.
    When he said "get your training" I never forgot that.
    In the spring, I'll be taking Acting 2 and Acting for the Camera 1.
    I'm on winter break now.

    So glad I stumbled onto a clip on acting by him on social media. Would have never known how serious he was about his craft. He's keeping it VERY real in this interview and drops a ton of science on the craft of acting.

    I remember seeing Mr. Powell in House Party (1990). To date, he is still my favorite actor. Mr. Powell's self-discipline and devotion to training for success are inspiring. Regardless of your profession, his counsel is crucial.

    maannn clifton wus dropping some real deep shyt with the whole memorizing a scene like a beat thing around the 17:20 mark. It actually makes a great deal of sense because what your capturing is a vibration really in a nutshell and its all relative. Coach Phil jackson eluded to something like this with the Bulls team he coached. you add meditation ect it works that much better

    I never have seen him in any interview anywhere, that is NOT fair ... Until now, way cool. Never seen a performance by the guy I didn't like. You name it "Dead Presidents"/"Deep Cover"/"Lockdown"/"Ray". He came from D.C. Metro, had no clue !

    I really like the initiative of this podcast in general but for a serious interview like this, to be honest, i think you have to just let Clifton Powell talk without any interruption. No need to be funny or make any side sly comments. Just let the guest talk and finish getting his point through.
