Thanks for the good walk through! I have two questions: 1. Why is the nozzle placed after the intercooler and not before it, or even before the turbo? 2. Will the ecu require remapping to account for different water/methanol mixtures? Hope youre still checking comments on these old videos😄
Depending on the nozzle size used and activation psi you might not have to touch the tune of the application. We have customers who put the systems on and never re-tune or even look at the tune. On the other hand, depending on what the vehicle might require or what you're trying to achieve with it, there might be a possibility you will have to have the tune looked at for a tweak or a possible complete re-tune. Using a smaller nozzle and having a conservative starting point should allow you to put the system on and not have to worry about the existing stock tune. Now for nozzle placement: Before a turbo or intercooler, there is going to be a point where the nozzle sizing needed might be too large and could cause some issues.
@@snowperformance1 Super thanks for the reply and interesting input. Having read up on it since there seems to be many more potential failure points putting it before ic or turbo. As for retune i wasnt expecting no tune to be a viable option.
I was always under the impression the solenoid needs to be as close to the nozzle as possible. Minimal leakage into inlet tract if the check valve fails.
Worst case is the line would suck in air causing pockets in the system. It could not allow the fluid to come out correctly and cause issues with distribution/support.
at 8:50 u said u have all the wiring done in the bmw.......why didn't u at least show some photos of the connections for us who bought the kit. that's the hardest part to figure out. I watched this a few times and i doubt u installed this kit at all. very professional.
We can't really speak on why there were no photos shown of the wiring being that this video was made by the previous owners of Snow Performance. However if you have any questions during installation you could always send us a message or email and we will definitely help you out!
Must be an old upload your playing heavy metal for background music instead of some really bad EDM which seems to be the new norm Have a nice day from the uk
We don't have a vehicle specific kit for it but we do have a couple of kits that might work with it as long as it is boosted. www.nitrousexpress.com/stage-2-boost-cooler-forced-induction-progressive-water-methanol-injection-kit-stainless-steel-braided-line-4an-fittings-sno-210-brd.asp
All of our kits will work great when used along with nitrous! We were bought by Nitrous Express a few years ago. If you have any questions feel free to shoot a call our way 1-888-GOFAST-1!
its not even worth using the stock cp by using that nozzle rig job. Just get a CP that has bungs already for NP nozzles . Not only will they have proper nozzle position u need to have a beefed up cp to handle the extra lbs boost which no doubt will blow that stock pipe . It happens with just tune only
Hello, thanks for the comment. This kit as well as our Stage 2 kits work on the N55 with great results. If we can answer any questions shoot us a email to tech@snowperformance.net. Thanks
BRO COMON dont teach them how to install meth into a stock chargepipe. What are you thinking bro. Atleast tell them to upgrade the fking cp , like n54 basics 101. Ok to all new n54 people ignore everyone else and do your chargepipe asap. Replace your plugs. Replace your coils. Fix your valve cover. Fix your OFHG and Oil Cooler Thermostat Housing Gasket. Dont do methanol please on a factory chargepipe use your brain, buy the 200$ factory style VRSF or BMS chargepipe and never look back. Thank me later.
This isn't a video showing how to make a performance built N54. This is a video showing people how they can install water methanol on a virtually stock application. Even though the video is on an N54, the basic principles still apply to many other vehicles.

If youre wanting to see the power gains it will need a new tune. The WM allows you to put more timing in the engine in order to make more power.
Documentary with background music makes watching this video very very stressfull, like watching a wrestling-show.
Do you have any install guides/documents for the kit?
Instructions are available on our website or you could give us a call and ask for our Chris!

Either area will work fine!
@@snowperformance1 thanks for confirming 👍🏽
What are the worst case scenarios if the water line is unknowingly damaged, opened, disrupted, ie air introduced?
Worst case is the line would suck in air causing pockets in the system. It could not allow the fluid to come out correctly and cause issues with distribution/support.
How much power do you have, without methanol system and with this system? Great job! :)

No install video?
This is the closest video we have of an install on the system unfortunately.
why does the cheaper kit come with a gauge and this doesnt?
The gauge is the controller. It is very limited in progression in comparison to this controller.
How do you setup failsafes?
The new stage 4 controller uses an optional boost cut solenoid to provide a "fail safe" of sorts

Was wondering if you guys got anything for the e92 m3 with the s65 motor????

@@snowperformance1 I will be calling you guys. About to purchase an e92 m3 v8 with a harrop supercharger.
For bmw m550d whit chiptuning AND turbo Upgrade and 470 HP THE stage 3 is good??
Stage 3 would be a good option for sure!
@@snowperformance1 snow performance in germany says stage 2 max, AND now??
Only if you guys made a stage 4 for n/a with nitrous

No tuning for the extra fuel or dyno?
It can be ran without getting a tune but it is definitely going to be recommended to get the most out of the system.

Do you have to refill the tank ?
Yes.
No, condensation refills it over time.

What i ACTUALLY recommend is buying the tial blowoff slotted one and do the Tial Q50 BOV way better
