Also. I'm slow to understand videos like this. THANK YOU for taking the time to go slow and explain things in detail without missing a step. I was just thinking that this was one of the BEST explanations I've ever seen. Now I see comments from people complaining that you were too basic and repetitive. They can go to hell.
Thank you . I finally get it . You explained it perfectly . I appreciate the way you reiterate as your going along . I have a tendency to miss some things .. Great help.
Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. Here is where we learn from each other. So I won't touch on repitition. It was a little hard to get through and other users have already address that. Now what you just did have flaws. U can be getting a spark from the coil but its still not good. There could be a short in it that affects the resistance the computer knows it should get from the coil. I recently successfully fixed a Nissan that had the coil firing, but the resistance from the coil was very low compared to the others. This caused the check light to come on and the computer throwing codes of bad coil and misfire. Videos are on UA-cam speaking on how to do this test. Yet and still. Great video.
Thank you for this video! And I thank you for doing it on this Toyota motor. I'm having coil issues with this same motor and you've shown me how to diagnose it.
I was hoping that I wasn't the only one hearing the screaming children...lol.... No worries dude, they make a lot of noise, but they sure are fun!!! I have 5 of them!!! Tehy made a lot of noise, then they grow up and move out, and you miss the noise!!!
That's one thing you can bet on, people having children. I always tell people,"I can tell the future." They say, "how so?" I say,"the rich will get richer, and the poor will get poorer." Im always right Cowboy 😁
First think it was yappy dogs , then kids his rambling the entire time. 10 mins Im done, learned how to use test light may be if not so confused. My anxiety an stress off the charts
my 97 grand prix GT 3.8 is missing one of the purge solenoid vacuum lines. The one that supposedly goes to the throttle body. Exactly where does it connect on the throttle body. Thanks
From yo explanation, I have noticed that those coils work th same as DC CDIs of motorcycles except fo th feedback wire. If the ampere and trigger voltage specs are th same, then they can be used as substitute of cdi and coil on motorcycles. Its like a cdi with ignition coil internally
This could of been an excellent video. Camera angle is such that it is difficult to see which cable was on the lower row or upper row during your instruction. Since you are filming with only one free hand, perhaps using a better pointer would help in lieu of using a fat sharpie pen.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Scorsese had no input directing this video. Bro you did such a good job explaining this but maybe get someone to hold the camera, put a sock in that kids mouth and re do it. I will say with all the distractions you did help me so I had to smash the like button. 👍👍👍👍👍
But the coil could be damaged if you don't have a perfect ground for the spark. As far as i understand, the spark goes back to the coil and it can destroy it.
How many times must you say something? Once is quite enough. Put a banana male plug on the end of your test light with a Fluke sure grip alligator clamp. It is easier to use and if you yank on the test light the plug pulls out without breaking the wire.
Brother.... you’re a great technician , but you need to think things through... You’re explaining/teaching about ignition systèmes and ecm related actions , no need to explain how a test light works...... Keep it simple : say things clearly , and say them once.... It’s incredibly hard to follow. Positive critisism buddy, I’ll watch more of your stuff for sure!
disagree 100%. I find things like this very hard to understand and confusing. I appreciate that he took the time to explain EVERYTHING, even if a lot of those things were things that I already knew.
First of all after listening to your video near the end i am sorry for the death of the child in the back ground..lol...Any ways manly skills dictates you NEED duck tape every man needs duck tape...pls next time if ever duck tape the f'in coil down ''GOD so frustrating to watch "" But informative video thank you mate cheers.
YA great...Not. Thanks for explaining that all the wires are the same except for the signal wire. Explaining it 75 times was a lil overkill though. Couldn't watch the whole video because I got tired of hearing about the fucking wires over and over....
waste of time, .... just test the coil as he stated...if it works then everything is ok ONLY IF THE COIL DOES NOT WORK do you check for power and check for earth, and check for signal whats teh point in checking everything if the coil works? there is no point another thing yuo can do to test the coil is ...remove a spark plug and put it in the coil....then you can just see it spark or not, when you liven up the signal wire instead of messing about all over the place trying to get a spark. ...ps take 2 spark plugs out in case the one that you are using to test with is damaged.
Good job explaining in detail I will say... "A bit repetitive, but informative and this is officially the very first review I've ever taken the time to respond to..? Your intention has merit- with no foreseen ban intention... For that you are a gentleman & a scholar. Good day & Godspeed To You & Yours... Li'l more homework on the approach tho fella
Your not talking to a 2 yr. Old So quit repeating everything. Camera work was terrible, too close and jumping around. Could have been explained in less than 1/2 the time. Subscribe? No Way !!!!!
Ohhh my god dude. Little bit of good info. But you’re soo painful to watch. Edit your clips ffs. If you don’t repeat everything 50 times you coulda kept that video to 5 minutes.

Most people think they know everything, or there way is the only way. You have to absorb information.
Thank you . I finally get it . You explained it perfectly . I appreciate the way you reiterate as your going along . I have a tendency to miss some things .. Great help.
Well done. Thanks for sharing your experience with us
Thank you , you explained it very well. Plus you did it slow for other that need it that way as still learning. .

Awesome video! Keep up good work. Very nice video as always from you. Sharing nice videos on youtube is great and everyone should do that. Regards,
Thanks bro, finally a 4 pin explanations. Now I just gotta figure how to test the 2nd to top wire
Thank you for this video! And I thank you for doing it on this Toyota motor. I'm having coil issues with this same motor and you've shown me how to diagnose it.
Thankyou, very helpful and educational, Ignore the negatives they just lack patience brotha
Great explanation! Thank you!
Thank you for very informative video , that is what i was looking for, keep on rolling.
Salute you man very informative video you have made , i will follow your procedures for my GMC Acadia having misfire 2,4,6 cylinder
I was hoping that I wasn't the only one hearing the screaming children...lol.... No worries dude, they make a lot of noise, but they sure are fun!!! I have 5 of them!!! Tehy made a lot of noise, then they grow up and move out, and you miss the noise!!!

GreatVideo: I learned a new way to test a coil. Most of the other guys just swap the coils out.
Great video
Good Job!
Excellent mechanic instructions top gun
Hi there. Thankyou for your tutorial..realy helpful and recommended..john australia 👍
Pull up design. Section 2 ScannerDanner! 😊 Good video. Cheers mate!
Is he teaching us from a day care center ? He should connect the power to the screaming child for silence !
Yes can't you tell he teachs kids, WHOS WATCHING THE KIDS? GEZZZZZ
First think it was yappy dogs , then kids his rambling the entire time. 10 mins Im done, learned how to use test light may be if not so confused. My anxiety an stress off the charts
I cant stop laughing at this comment!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is the video that mustbe watch for everyone on cars.
nice information! so what test light is safer to do that test your doing? what kind is that?
Very good!
Good job. 👌👌👌
Funny, at 4:31 - "Trying to look for something to point with". Grabs a Sharpie. Hmm, maybe the pointy end of the test light might have worked. :)
Great info thanks
good information to remember
Great video!
But how do you test the wires coming in and out the computer??
I have an issue with one coil not receiving enough power!
Technically pull up is something different. I started calling it that because of what the waveform looks like on a scope.
We have power but how much voltage are we seeing with test light?
my 97 grand prix GT 3.8 is missing one of the purge solenoid vacuum lines. The one that supposedly goes to the throttle body. Exactly where does it connect on the throttle body. Thanks
thank you
Thank you so much. It was really intressting.
i replayed this video and she is still hollering. got a torture ranch going on there.
Hey man great video but what happens when you're looking for a ground and you hit power? Do you get sparks and melted stuff?
Thank you now I know I need to buy me a test light with low amp
Thank you!
What wire i can connect my after market tachometer?
Thanks dude
@RomanAutomotive Is there any way of testing the signal wire???
thanks dude
Nice vid,, Thanks,,,,,Don't pay attention to the haters

Is that just a regular 12v test light? Or a special lower voltage test light. I don't want to ruin things with it.
What if the camshaft is not working what would be the problem
will your car smell like it burning after you drive it with the coils badand turn off engine
Is that the wire from pcm mark IGF

Good video one of best out there
Where are the fuse located?
15:25 making a cool beat

HhaahHhaahH HOLY FUCK WHOS THAT CHICK GETTING SLAMMED IN THE HOUSE... WTF... DONT HELP US ... GET IN THERE
wich wire did u test, using test light from positive to gruond wire or signal wire..ty
HE TESTED THE WIRE THAT WAS A DIFFERENT COLOR ON EACH COIL (THE TRIGGER WIRE) THE POWER AND GROUND WIRES ETC WERE ALL THE SAME COLORS
A bit clumsy but seems OK
who is that woman being tortured in the background of your video?
I dont have power where is the fuses
noisey ass kids in the background!! . my neighbors probably think im watching a porn.
Lmfao x10

Bravo but talking to much
HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU NEED TO REPEAT 4 WIRES BUT 3 ARE THE SAME!.....driving viewers mad!!! Terrible 'gas-bagging' without actually doing anything!!
+8233Eire Thank you.
