I admit I am currently recovering from an ed and have gone down the unhealthy spiral of "What I Eat in a Day" videos...but your message on being honest and your relationship with food was actually really encouraging and helpful to hear! I think these types of videos are helpul when creators (like you) are honest about their diets and don't try to hide anything, and don't have unhealthy relationships w/ food themselves. Keep it up :)
Honestly I am recovering from anorexia and I love to watch your videos because of how healthy your relationship with food is and also how yummy your food looks haha. Usually when I see regular “what i eat” and they are just like “I jus had a smoothie and a salad and that’s it” i feel really triggered because I know that is not healthy or good. Keep up girl! I love your videos ♥️
Omg NO. I have to say I'm on recovery from an ed and ur videos ARE NOT triggering.. Actually you share such a healthy relationship with food and it helps alot... and I'm so thankfull for it.❤ Also, even tho I'm not vegan you give some really nice food ideas, that's why I love watching your "what I eat in a day" videos.. 😊 But yeah.. There are alot of fdoe videos that can be really toxic... 😩
i’m not going to lie, i’m struggling with my anorexia at the moment, and i normally watch these videos in a very disordered way, but hearing you speak in your videos, as well as linda sun’s videos, is so important. there are some videos out there that are clearly unhelpful and not safe, but the way you speak about these things is so well done. keep going because you are so incredible!! 💗
Tbh I love your videos. Your relationship with food is extremely beautiful and simple. It actually seems realistic and inspiring. The way you edit and film is relaxing
Please don't stop making those videos. Since I decided to go vegan all your videos have helped so much. I am really struggling with body dismorphia and watching your food videos being so realistic and you not eating 200 calories a day has made me fell so much better and I'm sure many more people can relate too.
Beautiful words of wisdom💕 I watch “what I eat in a day” videos because I’ve been vegan a long time but sometimes loose motivation for creating new dishes, so it’s nice to see what other vegans enjoy incorporating into their daily lives.
Thank you for being so open about your thoughts on what I eat in a day videos. I'm currently recovering from an eating disorder and because I haven't had a healthy relationship with eating or food in no point in my life, it's really difficult to know if I'm "doing it right," if you will. I've been supressing my hunger cues my whole life so it's impossible for me to listen to my hunger and my body. So these videos help me a lot when I watch creative people like you with good intentions. And also seeing people actually eating things helps keep my anxiety in check. So thanks for coming to my tedtalk lol really though, thank you so much for this content and for being honest
Your 'what I eat in a week' videos are some of my favorites ! I've been wanting to go vegan for months now, but my parents won't let me, so I try to compensate by cooking as many vegan meals as I can, and your videos always give me a lot of ideas. Thank you, really. ❤
I am currently recovering from an eating disorder and lately I’ve been getting really into watching these types of videos because I’m trying to learn how to cook and meal plan, and I just wanted to say that I really admire your healthy relationship with food! You have a mixture of all kinds of foods all throughout different times of the day and that’s how I would like to be! Your brief message was wonderfully well put, and I thank you for considering the impact your videos can make on people like me. Please keep being you, you rock it ❤️
Can you do a favorite vegan grocery store snacks video? I always eat my dinner on top of a bed of spinach too! Especially pasta. You’re so relatable and I love listening to your life updates.
I can understand your concern for people who are struggling with weight/food issues but these “what I eat” videos are awesome bc they are more realistic than watching someone specifically cooking one vegan meal. It makes me feel like I can do it and you showing slight mistakes that you made while cooking is amazing because as a beginner or expert we can make them too and that’s okay! I love your videos! I’m starting my vegan journey and they are so helpful! And sooo varied!
I have a difficult thought process/relationship with food, and your videos really help motivate me to eat better. Your meals look very appetizing and you eat healthy proportions. I feel like in a lot of “what I eat in a day” videos people show only a portion of what they eat (example: cutting out when they eat snacks) or show unrealistic portions of food. Whereas in your videos you eat very normal portions and include the snacks you eat. I really like watching your videos because they make me feel better about eating, seeing your healthy relationship with food and your healthy portioning and food and seeing how happy and genuine you are with your meals is extremely motivating and alleviating.
honestly, watching these type of videos is what pushed me to recover from my eating disorder in the first place. you eat amazing, delicious and nutritious food without obsessing over the calories and macros and that's so inspiring and made me realize that i want that relationship with food too. i'd say videos like yours and other new-age vegan UA-camrs differ from the others who eat oatmeal for breakfast, a fruit for "lunch" and a salad for dinner and then say they're super full. oh also, 15:21 Danny Gonzalez!
I honestly have never had an eating disorder and currently have an ~okay~ relationship with food. Watching “What I eat in a day videos” videos is just interesting and inspiring. Love your channel.
I watch the videos for inspiration only! They helped me go plant based. The person you watched isn't right. The way you prepare these healthy meals are inspiring. Keep it up!
I love watching what i eat in a day/week videos in the morning. I have a hard time with my appetite, so videos like this help me so much ! I can easily not eat real meals for days because i just don’t crave food lol so yeah i always look up daily/weekly what i eat in the morning so i can crave food throughout the day.
although I'm not vegan or vegetarian, I really love watching your videos and seeing the unique ways you prepare your meals. it makes me appreciate my relationship with food a lot more and motivates me to seek out healthier alternatives!
There's good and bad from everything... You can help so many with your knowledge... As long as your real as you've been... Like they say "I am only responsible for what I say, not for how you take it!" Many ppl will judge you either way... Ppl that have an issue with eating habits need to get help... You're not responsible for them... Just as you know yourself... When someone has an illness as such they will not listen to what anyone has to say and will always take the negative from a situation... You can tell someone they're beautiful til their ears bleed, but if they don't believe it there is nothing you can do to change their minds 😔🙏🏼💕
I LOVE your ‘what I eat in a day’ videos! I love how you incorporate your culture in some of your meals too. All your meals and snacks seem super realistic and a look like things I would probably eat too😂 I also really appreciated your little clip about how these types of videos could affect some people’s mindsets about food. It’s super important to acknowledge that some people watch them and think that they’re eating too much or too little, but it’s really different for everybody. But you explained it really nicely. I love your channel! Keep making videos like these I adore them 🥺💖
i watch your videos because i’ve just been becoming vegan and you are really helpful with recipes and encourage me to want to eat meals not to not want to eat meals !!:)
Hi Cheyenne, I'm a new subbie❤ , just want to say that I love your video and I think that "what I eat in a day" videos, for people who begin with veganism, can be very helpful and can show them an amazing vegan food they wouldn't know without these videos
I just found you channel and I just hope you continue posting your what I eat in a day videos because I just became vegetarian about 1 week ago and it’s a process but I appreciate all the meal idea you put out there and your one of the big reasons I now try to have something green at every meal. Love your videos !
Ngl I am trying to recover on a probably eating disorder (binge eating) and these videos actually really helped me and are helping me Since this made me gain weight I started to hate myself and feel the guilt, I used to watch mukbang videos when I was not eating and just binging after that Right now I'm succefully losing weight, while intermittent fasting (one meal a day) even though it's not recommended, since right now I got in a better place mentally I can actually do it without stress, and also withoust starving These videos make me think in a healthy way and give me so many ideas to try when I have lunch! thank you so much, you really are helping a lot
My favourite thing about vegan what I eat in a day videos is it allows me to normalise eating and especially eating large quantities of dense healthy foods
This is so inspiring pls do moreee if you want to ofc.🥺❤️️I don't struggle with food I just watch these kinds of videos to get inspiration since I'm also on a plant based diet and always love some new recipes.❤️️❤️️Love all your vids btwww!
I watch what I eat in a week videos because I just want to see more ideas on what to eat and recipes. Yes, I am tryna lose weight but not vegan 😂, I just clicked on this vid cause it looked interesting and I love it! ❤️✌🏽😁
I agree with the supportive comments here, admitting they have an ed but finding the videos encouraging. But still, I feel like thinking so much about food and watching all this eating content is pretty disordered, regardless of how the people eat and regardless of if they are triggering or not. Eating content can give us comfort, that doesn't mean it is good for us.
I know that Madeleine Olivia did a ‘things I enjoyed eating this week’ video rather than what I eat - I quite like that concept! She doesn’t follow rigidly the breakfast snack lunch snack dinner dessert format every day but includes highlights of each from across the week... in case you want a different way to frame it!
Your eating makes me actually feel very normal though and not pressured to eat in a destructive way - it’s clear you eat intuitively when you post these and you have a healthy attitude to food :)
I have a eating disorder currently called ARFID and I have issues with eating food because I hate a lot of food and have trouble eating big meals because I'm picky. I became vegan for the planet and animals but I am also trying to be creative with food, I watch "what I eat in a week" vids to see something creative because I'm an artist and seeing something colorful makes me happy and a bit more motivated to try to eat 😊 (my usual meals are vegan nuggets and gluten free accidentally vegan waffles but I'm trying to add more to what I usually like) Basically snacks and small things I can get my hands on like chips and popcorn is all I want to eat (the healthy light ones though, junk food isn't my thing usually)
Also, what you said is so true!! Most "what I eat in a day" viewers tend to be people struggling with an ed and use those videos as a way to compare their eating habits to see if they are eating "right", and I know this because I myself used to do this when I was deep into my eating disorder. These videos should be watched to get food inspo and new meal ideas, not to figure out if you are "eating the right way" because there is NO right way of eating. Everyone's body is different!
Hi Cheyenne I love your videos they are so inspiring and I just think overall you are a super sweet and kind person. I hope your staying safe and I hope your okay 🥰
Nice! Liked it. But sure lots of Just Egg... :-)) By the way, I agree with you - the important reason for having as many of these vids online as possible is to promote Veganism the Best way that can be: but showing all how Great, yummy and diversified it can be.
I think it's just important that people who make "what I eat in a day videos" are people with good, healthy eating habits and don't try to give nutrition/medical advice. People need to to take some responsibility in their life and not blame a youtuber for posting a "what I eat in a day video" that trigers them. Just stop watching, unsubscribe. Be responsible for your actions at least a little bit. We can't censor and hide everything.
I do have an eating disorder but I think that that's a problem that I have and if you didn't post videos where you clearly eat a normal healthy vegan diet and have a good relationship with your food then I'm more likely to watch unhealthy messages. Also I think that it is important to remember why people watch these videos. Many people with EDs (that I know) me included watch videos with any food in it just to look at it and I know that on more than one occasion I was watching one of your videos and decided to be "healthy" and eat something. If you can do that then that's reason enough to continue what you are doing ❤️
I think I'm going to go vegan because I watched two videos of how chickens and pigs get killed in a slaughterhouse and I cried I felt bad so that's why I'm going to try to go vegan.
I admit I am currently recovering from an ed and have gone down the unhealthy spiral of "What I Eat in a Day" videos...but your message on being honest and your relationship with food was actually really encouraging and helpful to hear! omg i remember the first time i used the broil setting on our oven... things were on fire
LMAO
the other day i literally set the oven on fire with the broil setting. the whole kitchen was almost gone sksksks
prada.vibe 😂😂 when that happened to me i didn’t touch the oven for a month
Tbh I love your videos. Your relationship with food is extremely beautiful and simple. It actually seems realistic and inspiring. The way you edit and film is relaxing
thank you so much!!
I have to be honest but Cheyenne makes the most realistic and relatable "what I eat in a week" as a vegan
Please don't stop making those videos. Since I decided to go vegan all your videos have helped so much. I am really struggling with body dismorphia and watching your food videos being so realistic and you not eating 200 calories a day has made me fell so much better and I'm sure many more people can relate too.
I hear you.
Your mom and grandma are literally soo beautiful 😍 everything you cook is amazing btw!!
please don't stop doing these your videos are so inspiring
this means a lot. thank you. they definitely take the most effort to film + edit!!
Cheyenne Hayden i can only imagine
your grandma is so adorable 🥺
