Thank you so much for posting this. I fell in love with Guiding Light because my grandmother always had it on when I got home from school in the 80s-90s and I kept watching myself. She'd talk to me about different actors, and the past decades' memorable plotlines, and imbued watching it with this sense of gravity. Getting to actually see these myself is really very special, it's like continuing a story she started telling me. I love Roger and Holly, this was such a ride! Also, I was pleasantly surprised by an unexpectedly strapping Ed Bauer. I am used to Blake being married to Ross Marler, I gasped out loud when after Roger's fall, the camera landed on the little red haired girl that could only be her. Wow.
Robert Milli was wonderful in these scenes. Funny, Christina thought that Adam was her (step)grandfather because he used to be married to Barbara but he is, in fact, her biological grandfather, because her father is really Roger.
born few months later. I was named Christina ( still called Chrissy) cause mom thought the little girl was sweet and cute. Watched till went off the air. I cried.
So is this the island Alexandra and Fletcher get stranded on, and Alex meets Roger posing as Adam Malkik? And thus Alan steps it up and becomes Springfield's next biggest villian.
Loved Chris as Alan Spaulding. Was never the same after he left.
I still wonder why he left in 1984 and returned 2 years later. Sadly he passed away in 1989.
GL at its very best. Excellent cast, well written and produced. What a show !
The show went downhill in the 80's & 90's imo.
@@alandale2182. 1979-84 was its peak.
This Is the best era of GL.
So I hear. I never watched but it looks great here
It’s striking to me how much of this cast was gone in just a few years.
Wonderful Charita
I wish whole show was available for viewing
The look on Alan face is priceless
One of the great soap opera scenes of all time. Roger’s “death”
The acting and writing was great here!
This was fantastic
I loved "Dr. Sara McIntyre".
