Controll groups override "Select all barracks/xxx" in game actually. So you can set select all barracks to some number key as the default behavior, and use that number as controll group when necessary!
very usefull video, i learned to choose all military units with ctrl+c and i cant stop doing it:D now ill change it for only idle military:D it was very anoying escpecialy when i pick up relics with rus and dont have monks in control group;p
if you want a good advice for low/medium end pcs put the game in 720p 100 % scale instead of putting 1920 with low weird settings. If you played sc2 /starcraft broodwar a lot, don't hesitate to change camera angle early every game so you got straight vertical view like starcraft, it helped me a lot to macro.
Turning off mouse acceleration is the most important mouse setting even before setting the right DPI. Its relevant in all E-sports and even everyday qol and comfort.
I still love your "patrol + idle army" tips that you mentioned. I am using that and I can really recommend.

Why do you have "select and center" for idle villager? Wouldnt it be easy to just move the idle vill to a resource without centering the screen?
Any graphical settings that can be tuned down to get more FPS and doesnt impair the game quality?
Curious that you play on default map size, my game awarness improved a lot once i increased it

With panomaric I find it easier to click enemy boats in water fights

In my opinion, you should ALWAYS disable it. Its bad since the mouse movement isnt predictable. Its especially bad in FPS games
