Lovely! It fascinates me to see how all of that wonderful hip movements begins in the dancers' feet and knees; they have to be real athletes to make this look so easy.
sonyahannah Stomach. It’s a core dance...
Go take some lessons if available. Only way to learn. :)
It's funny. People not from the islands...Hawaiian or Tahitian...think Tahitian Hula is Hawaiian. It's not. It's Hollywood that confuses spectators. The Hula we see on Hawaii FIVE-O is Tahitian. :) As is any time Hawaii is portrayed in film. Hawaiian Hula doesn't get the same respect. Oddly most people go to Hawii more than Tahiti...As they speak French there...
Jolies ces filles. Magnifique prestation!
Best I've ever seen.
Very skilled - and absolutely georgeous.
Magnifique bravo......
Waouh splendide 🇵🇫♥️⚘

Great interpretive fusion style, what are these two styles Tahitian and what? Pretty and very belly dance like...
Ori Tahiti IS a core dance. This is a modern group, and their leader has a background from one of the most famous modern dance groups in Tahiti.
Hoping to see the lady with the abs from the other video
Ki. Remelexo. Top 😯😯😯😯
Que domínio corporal mas perfecto. Lindos cuerpos, lindos movimientos y lindas sonrisas.
So that's how babies are made
i like that they allow non tahitian or part tahitian people be part of it. I feel like they have to be good though lol. respect the culture.
nicki DePauw It’s in France, Europe. Not Tahiti. The majority of people dancing outside of Tahiti is not Polynesian. It’s a international competition open to anyone jeeze🤦♂️ It says Heiva I Paris, not Tahiti.
They are Polynesian Girl, from the group (O Tahiti) 🌴
what does the "wild hair" thing ? All the dancers have it
Proving that there is no reason to stop dancing during the drum solo.
tremendous! i wanna join the group!
You want to join the group come to my country and I wish you good luck because our Polynesian dance is a lot of cardio and squats. The dancers of my country will teach you to dance the Haka. The Haka come from my country before the all blacks and Hawaii, Samoa despite everything they are also part of French Polynesia but they do not have French nationality, just to warn you that the Haka dance comes from my country French Polynesia
@@kehaulanie5015 sold, i'm convinced :D
@@JaculaDudek Really I wish you good luck. I myself am a dancer but in my country says Tahiti
@@kehaulanie5015 i do kickboxing and pole dance - i will do just fine even with that dance :D thank you ;)
@@JaculaDudek 😯 wow kickboxing oh OMG. Alright you will do more better than my origins 😉 Maururu by my Polynesian language want to say thank you
I like the way they dance, music, their beauty..I wonder why they're so much noise and screaming in the background.
It's traditional. We yell and scream to show appreciation for the dancing.
That’s how we do it!
years ago
This is why the aliens are interested in us. Just so you know.

All that bloody whooping over the music. There's showing appreciation and then there's intrusive cat-calling.
What a change from 50 years ago...Another decade or so and all of Polynesian should look like Europeans
wolsilita Dumbass! It’s in Europe France. Because a few of them are French or doesn’t look the way you expect Polynesians to look like due to prejudice, stereotypes, and racism, doesn’t make them less Tahitian! Tahiti like many other islands in the Pacific are melting pots. Originally they are mixed. Tahitians come in every size, and color! Shame on you!
well it is not a big deal for us . We welcome everyone from all around the world. And beside being myself a half calf I must tell you that people like me are the most to spread what our ancestors left us Sharing and understanding
Gee the others must have been really bad.
Too many wiggles, can't count that fast.
3rd place
Ke centra lparigi con voi..
Francia crepa paga o non vedi piu niente
... През...
Close up please!! Lol 💋❤️🌹🌴
Missing the grass skirts thou otherwise great.
Tahitian dancers don't generally wear "grass skirts"
You may have the wrong culture, we don’t wear grass skirts👍
Dan Shelburne it’s called Mor’e and it’s not even made out of grass🤦♂️ You clearly have the wrong idea and impression of this culture, like the majority of the people in this comment section. Get educated ignorant white man!
the grass skirt is onlly used when dancing the Otea. This is an Aparima
Q horrible mueven los hombros
This is not hula more like yoga
It’s not Hula, nor is this Hawai’ian jeeze! It’s Ori Tahiti. Different culture. Get it right!
Fucking impolite audience. Those cheers work well on zouk, but on other kinds of dances probably the public shoud apreciate it in silence in order not to spoil the songs.
WTF are you talking about?! It’s not disrespectful! In Tahiti, and other Polynesian cultures, it’s the norm and encouraged to shout, scream etc. Pumps up the dancers, and shows them love!
@@kilipaki87oritahiti This was one of the first videos of this kind of dance I've seen. I was kind of decontextualized then. I said that because the show was in paris and I was basing myself in their standards. I agree cheers are compatible with this kind of dance now I've watched more of it, but you must agree that those cheers should be given by an educated audience and in an adequate context, even if they can be intense at times. To be extreme I guess no group of dancers would feel stimulated by the cheers of half a dozen drunk man that understand nothing of their art.
White washed.
Lol okay. Yet you speak the language, and believe in the religion of the colonizers? Hypocrite! Easy to spew racist nonsense behind a screen ey? The majority of the dancers are Maohi, and even if they weren't, most Tahitians are mixed anyway due to colonialism, and tourism, which isn't their fault. This can be said for the majority of Polynesia. it's a dance competition, anyone can participate, and dance schools do what exactly? They teach anyone who wants to learn, regardless of their ethnciity, or skin color. And how it is whitewashed? It's in France, Europe. You clearly know nothing, Easy to talk when your mind is empty? Maybe heed your own words, and ''mind yours''?!
