There was a period of time in my life when I was deeply immersed in Lestat and Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. They gave me much enjoyment! The Tale of the Body Thief literally had the most exciting, satisfying, twist ending of anything else I have ever read - and I read a lot of books in my 63 years! Interview With The Vampire is my favorite movie of all time; I have watched it countless times over these many years, and I know the dialogue and can recite along with it. There were so many lines in the film that resonated with me on a soul level, such as "You are what you are Louie". I draw back on those profound lines as they relate to instances in my life. Anne Rice is by far my favorite author (with similarities that make me wonder if she is a soul split), and to find out that Lestat is come back has really made my day (week, month, and year!). Also, Anne is spot-on in regards to the channeling. Her spirit guides and muses are working closely with her every time she writes, dreams, or imagines the plots and lines and words in her books. Anyone that starts writing on a regular basis (meaning any kind of writing at all... fiction, non-fiction, poetry, articles, blogs, screenplays, etc.) have helpers in the spirit planes. The more you relax and allow this spiritual inspiration to come through, the more the words just flow!
memnoch inspired me.... no vampires... only one who is born, lives, dies... over and over. Very little prior knowlege... only flashes. Very mortal... only to die is to be born another day... a curse or blessing.....
RIP Anne. She's always said to go where the pain, pleasure and intensity is in your writing.
This lady's writing inspired me to take up writing.
+Garret1912 - The same for me. Her and Stephen King (his later works). I see them both as mentors and way-showers.
