I spray them with 91% alcohol and leave the component open to dry out. Also to sanitize eyeliners and stick eyeshadow, sharpen then spray with the alcohol also. Never had anything ruin.
I just buy and use Beauty So Clean sanitizing spray on my collection to keep it sanitary for my own use and I have some palettes that are waaaayyyyyy past expiration but still smell fine and perform amazing and I think it's because I've been using the Beauty So Clean for years. I spray all the powder products I give away or sell (even if I never used them lol) with it. I used to just use straight alcohol like a lot of other people but I feel like it negatively affected lots of my palettes and other powder products after a while. If you're planning on passing along a bunch of stuff it might be worthwhile just to buy a "pro" makeup sanitizing spray. It's useful to have around anyway to keep your makeup hygienic for your own self 🥰
Isopropyl alcohol spray 70% is best. Spray and let dry. Higher alcohol concentrations don’t sanitize because they dry too quickly and the alcohol doesn’t have enough time to do it’s thing. Mascaras and liquid lipsticks put them in the freezer overnight.
@@irinatanase7150 This is true. Studies show 70% works better on surfaces. But with makeup products, I wonder if 70% affects the product more than 91%.
😆 “That’s life sometimes. We all can be a little bit yellow” reminds me of one time I had to return a foundation. The guy taking returns was being scolded just before, for taking too long of a break. I swear watching youtubers from a 1rst world country using palletes and blending eyeshadows perfectly is like those satisfactory videos for me. In my country and in my province there aren't a lot of quality makeup brands, and when you find them, they're 1. Crazy expensive 2. Small products. Just a few hours ago I tried doing a snake insipired makeup and I just couldn't get it right because of how chalky my makeup was 😭😭 I'm still grateful tho, sometimes I'm able to make it work
I have a lot of natasha denona palettes and i like them a lot. That being said zendo is very subtle compared to the others. I love the bronze palette, circo loco, triochrome.
I feel like the NYX drop foundations are VERY skin dependent! When my skin was slightly more oily, it was my favourite foundation hands down. Now, when it starts to get somewhat dryer, I HATE the finish it gives me! Too bad, because I loved to use it when I wanted a more natural day and could just use a few drops!
I think the Nyx Total Control foundation is a great one for photos. I use it with a damp sponge and it’s great for a getting a lot of coverage quickly as you can just bounce it on and leave the pigment behind. Plus the palest shade is great for those of us that look dead 🌚
@@Milenaiguess yeees totally! So many really pale foundations lean really pink in tone but the nyx ones have great neutral tones. My only gripe is that on my oily skin it lasts about 2 hours before my face becomes a literal mirror which is why I mainly use it for photos

I rated the NYX foundation 8/10 initially but now I absolutely love the way it looks! 10/10 for me because even though it isn’t oil controlling, it feels very lightweight but doesn’t look like I’m even wearing foundation + all I use is 3 drops for my whole face for med coverage!
Yes!!!! That foundation is one of my faves. I had to stop using it because the local stores stopped selling my shade. I am the palest shade plus one drop of white. I just moved.....they have most the range including mine! Do you find that it doesn't last that long however?
I love the total control drops and I literally use 1 1/2 drops and I apply it with the real techniques settling brush to apply it. I concentrate it where my hyperpigmentation is and buff it out every where else. I adore it. I think if you find a shade for your skin tone, you would actually like it. Bc it gives weightless full coverage.
Robert, you mentioned sanitizing a palette. Would you do a video on here (or TikTok) about how to do that. I’m sure other people have covered it, but I’d rather learn from you. 🖤💜🖤
For the ND formula for whatever reason it really seems like some palettes perform totally different, like I remember the Safari palette, some people absolutely hated it, a similar but lesser response happened with Zendo as well, but Palettes like Star, Gold, Sunrise, Bronze, Love didn’t really have any of those contentious reviews at all. Personally I have the Bronze and the matte formula is genuinely my favourite matte formula I’ve ever tried; literally no fuss, pigment is there with no struggle building, I could do a handstand and try to blend my crease and it’d work a dream! I genuinely see a massive difference between the pigmentation and blendability than say, the colourpop shadows I’ve had that just blend away rather than in.
Whether or not a person likes ND is so personal preference. I love the ND formula better than PMG as I can get such soft lovely looks and the ND formula is kinder on my older eyes. I don't look for the bright pops of shines as it just accentuates my texture
I completely agree with Natasha Denona palettes, I know people say they're the best, etc, but I find the same thing, the one I has does the same thing, I've tried different primers, but it does the same thing!! It doesn't blend that well at all!! I'm kinda annoyed I spent so much money on it. I've only ever tried Pat McGrath once, and I really liked the shadows, but I found out I'm allergic to some of the shadows. I really want to try a couple of the SIgma palettes.
Love these because you give me ideas on how to differently try products that haven't worked for me, but are still lurking in my vanity. BTW congrats and best of luck on the influencer award nomination, been voting for you! 🖤
Zen do is ok. I dig a more muted eye look and dislike neon or really bright colors. The super shock I have trouble applying except with my finger. Love some application tips on the super shock!
Everyone deserves a second chance 😂 ok I voted but why isn’t your brother nominated for skin care?? That’s crazy! 👿 oh well.... best of luck to you though. I’ll try to remember to vote every day! 🤞🏻
Love that you give legitimate second chances where you try to apply the product differently! I used the Nyx total control drops successfully in a color lighter than my skin tone when doing cosplay looks that were ethereal and also only for photos but wouldn't have worn it out in real life.
I love Natasha’s palettes! I have several of her big ones and her midi ones. I think that the bronze and glam palette had better reviews and were just better overall than the zendo palette. People were saying that the color story was ok and the shimmers weren’t up to her normal standard. I would recommend trying a different one!
I have the Zendo palette. It is very subtle and not my favourite palette. However, because it isn't my favourite, I can actually go ham with it everyday (also because it's subtle) and it is my *most used* palette lol 🤣 if it were ultra gorgeous I would have probably saved it for special occasions and never gotten much use out of those 65$🤣
Voted for you, Robert! Every time I feel low, I just put on one of your videos or a Welsh Twin video, and it immediately brightens my day. Thank you! I hope you win!
I don't wear a lot of make-up, but enjoy watching your vids! Funny thing is friends have actually been complimenting me on my make up since watching these videos though... I think I've subconsciously changed how I apply it haha. Thanks, Rob!
Natasha denona is my favorite eyeshadow formula. It sticks the best to my kieds and just love it. I don't own safari, heard that palette was a flop. My favorite is Lila.
Whenever Robert or James say “S’Fine” = hard pass for me 👏🏼😅 save my money lol The Natasha Denona shadows I do have (one silvery tones palette and some singles) I can’t seem to get to go on well with brushes “can’t be bothered” and end up using my fingers and then they look pretty. That Colour Pop looks amazing!
Is there a video round up of your favorite purple eyeshadows? I would love to see that. I consider purple to be a nice every day neutral shade with Deliverer by Sydney Grace being my favorite purple shadow but i always have room to adopt more purples.
Hi Robert! Thanks for trying ND again! I have used her products for a couple years and I typically LOVE her formulas. However, I will say that had the Safari palette been my first purchase, I NEVER would have purchased her products again. It was a huge fail! I highly recommend the Star Palette and the Lila palette. Thanks for being so awesome! Live your videos! 💕
I love how much thought and care you put into how the products are used. Most people wouldn't even consider the possibility that they were using the product wrong.
Your expressions make me laugh. They sum up you view on a product so accurately. Definitely going to be voting. You got me back into using make up after about 10 years of not bothering so you definitely deserve it! 🖤
This is why I love Roberts videos: if you pay attention closely he pulls out some fun makeup treasures. I just Just purchased that colourpop set of Disney Princess’ super shocker eyeshadows…and then more stuff I didn’t need. Thanks, Robert!
Every time you say, " It's fine" I laugh a little. You seem like you're really battling with yourself on this video trying to come to acceptance with the product and its quality. One of my favorite videos now.
You are so truthful and so transparent. Nobody can put a price on that. That is why you're my favourite youtuber. Actually you are the only makeup UA-camr I'm subscribed to.
What I like about Natasha Denona are the shimmers, sparkly shadows, and the scattered shades. They all look so lux and hydrated. But they do need to be picked up with fingers or a damp brush. The Mattes are ok (they are not the easiest/fastest to blend but they blend out smoothly) but the sparkly stuff it's where it's at imho.
I have the next foundation in my wedding kits. I can mix and match. You're right a little goes a long way and I use a spinge at the end to remove excess
You should try Natasha Denona Circo Loco palette it is absolutely amazing and the shimmers are just wow...She has different formulas on shimmers and some of them are not meant to be in your face shimmer
Happy Wednesday Robert!! Congratulations on the nomination - you definitely deserve this. I’m doing my part and voting and I’m even enlisting the help of some friends and me family. Hopefully you’re having an awesome week!! 💕🖤💕🖤💕🖤
I fell for the ND hype and bought a palette. I found I had to keep going back to build up pigment and some of the colours look totally different on than in the pan. I shall be sticking to Anastasia BH x
“It’s not very exciting. I don’t know, is it? I don’t know. You know why ‘cause there’s no purple and in my mind that means it’s not exciting” Honestly I’ve never related to anything more.
Hi Robert! I’m also an MUA and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Natasha Denona palettes and just bought the Zendo , mini Xenon and the Retro palette. (Used some ND this weekend and they were amazing but there are palettes I don’t pick up). I have it in my makeup kit. Have 3 Glam looks and they really want ND and I also bring my Huda Nude and Retrograde (that I didn’t want to pick up but got it 50% off) :)
I have a theory that only makes sense in my mind. The small and the mini palettes (the 5 shades ones) come from one place. The bigger ones are "Made in The Antipodes". That could explain how easy blendable, and pigmented are the little ones and how disappointing, patchy or flaky can be some of the huges. 🤷🏻♀️🤯 🧛🏻♀️💜
I find it interesting that you love viseart but find ND hard to blend - for me it's the opposite like I struggle to blend viseart and dont like the formula, whereas I find ND is super easy for me to blend and I love the formula. I wonder if technique has anything to do with it
ROBERT can you try Half Caked Balms? I've reviewed and tried HC's balm bronzers, blushes, and highlighter and holy cow. They are the BEST cream products I've ever tried and they are a new US brand in Cali and it's $22 for 3 pf them. Amazing affordable products and by far a dupe for Danessa Myricks in 1 of them 😉 Also congrats on your nomination! So proud of you and you deserve it 🙌💚💜🖤🧡❤🙌👍😊
Ha! I love how I know your likes so well by now. When you said you thought of the eye shadow palette to be boring I thought immediately: "It's probably because it's not purple". And the you said the same thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love you Robert 💜
The ND palettes have been bad for me too. I've been disappointed with Glam, Lila, Sunrise and Zendo. The two that have worked for me have been Metropolis and Bronze.
I love my zendo pallette. I’m a one and done girl and I’ve used every single one of the shadows in this. It’s my first Natasha denona and as soon as i saw the promo pictures I fell in love.
Congratulations Robert I'm so proud of you and I am definitely voting. Also where have you been? I think I'm finally caught up with all of your videos and can't wait for your next ones thank you so much for everything you do
The concealer pencil reminded me of something just like that my mom had when I was young and would play with her makeup. It was more like a lipstick and thick as fuck lol I’d probably love the new and improved version to clean the shadow quicker.
I can understand about thinking more expensive products should be better than the more affordable ones but I learned it's not true! With my mom we had gotten an eyeliner that was $22... it kept smearing and didn't last but a $10 kind would last forever, could rub my eyes and it wouldn't move at all! Was super suprised!
The clicking of the rings when you were talking about the NYX foundation 🤣Also, lord knows I need a reminder daily that people deserve a second chance !
The ND Safari palette was notoriously patchy (not the greatest intro to her line). The Biba is a great neutral palette, and the $65 pans are the best buys. I haven't tried it yet, but lots of people love the Circo Loco for the colors and formula.
Natasha Denona is my favorite eyeshadows, she has a lot of great products for that matter. Maybe you don't like the cream to matte. A lot of people aren't excited about that formula. The formula is definitely something you sometimes have to work with but it depends on the order you put them on for me. Also, her shimmers are not in your face. The metallics are though. Honestly, it just depends on your taste and knowing the difference and how to work the different formulas. If you want BAM, these aren't for you. The retro just came in the mail and I have it open in front of me while I watch videos and omg it's so good.
Had to use the NYX drop location because my pale skin and tone are very tricky to get at the drugstore. It’s fine if you are working with very small amounts, as you attempted here. I used a stippling brush to get a medium coverage
So in Sephora Australia, that Zendo palette is $100. The Circo Loco palette they released just before this one is $203, and is the same size. The little five pan palettes retail for $38. I have to ship other brands internationally and it’s still cheaper in the end 😅
I use the Nyx total control as a way to change the color and add a more watery texture to my other foundation like IT cosmetics. I have oily skin and hate how thick a regular foundation can be so this helps keep pigment without the creaminess
I ABSOLUTELY love your honesty, regardless of whether the product is hella expensive or cheap as chips. A good product is a good product. As always love your videos. Informative and entertaining 🤗🇦🇺
Omg! Just checked out that Bard Mondo is also up for the award in Hairstylist category. Definitely gonna vote for both of you guys, i would really love to see you getting the award you truly deserves. Going to set an alarm for every 9pm to vote for you mister ❤️
Robert, here's what I have figured out with ND. They are creams, and they dry down rather quickly. They also don't layer nicely. If you go watch Natasha and see how she uses more flat blushes, the way she chokes up on her brushes, etc ... it'll be that aha moment for you. It's a learning curve with these palettes because they are definitely different than other shadows. If you can get the formula down, and almost retrain your brain, you'd probably love them. They are certainly different and a bit odd, but they are really pretty if you take the time to train yourself. I hope that makes sense.
You’re just fascinating to listen to. Not only entertaining but you’re very knowledgeable about makeup which is sooo helpful and great even if I’ve never tried the products you’re using. Love all your videos!
For myself I’ve fallen in love with Natasha Denona’s formulas. I absolutely do think it’s overpriced, but I don’t regret my purchases. I have the green-brown palette, gold, bronze, cranberry, metropolis, and sunrise palettes. My only criticisms aside from the price is that she puts too may similar shades in each palette, and I would like more inner corner highlight options. That being said, I love her cream to powder formula. Also, while some of her shimmers are not “bam in your face”, others are. She has a variety of shimmer formulas. Some are opaque metallic and in your face. Some are more glittery toppers. I also cannot recommend enough her Bloom cheek palette.
Bought both Mini Xenon and Midi Retro and can assure you they're definitely playful and give you fair fun for their price even you were taken back with swatches. I believe a mild backlash against the brand is trending nowadays due to crazy overexpectations for Midi Retro. Not hard to guess that if ND throws a pallete with some Mini Retroish pinks and greens even in Full size it'll be complete soldout.
I love that these videos aren't just "try it the same way for a second time and have the same reaction" but are more "try this again with an adjustment to see if - - was the problem or the product itself". It's much more useful as a review and more entertaining than watching the same thing over again!

I’ve voted like 5 times so far and my family’s voting for you too! Best of luck! 🍀
I normally only vote for things once but I’ve been voting everyday because of the stiff competition.
Same I hope he wins 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
That bronzer adds the uncanny valley feel to the look.
My thoughts exactly!!!!!!!!!
Probably because not an expert, and the field is saturated with consumers so a mediocre one isn't gonna turn any heads.
😂😂😂 true
@@Accountnolongerexists Mediocre?
Yeah but Hiram? I nean james over Hiram ANY DAY! 😥
I literally came to say this about the glam and bronze palette. I feel like those two blended better and had better pigmentation than the rest.
I have Glam, Biba and Retro and they're fantastic, best formulas I've tried
@@poisonbiscuits I fought with myself internally over Biba. I wanted it so bad but I KNEW I wouldn't use half the shades in it.
I have the Zendo palette. It is very subtle and not my favourite palette. However, because it isn't my favourite, I can actually go ham with it everyday (also because it's subtle) and it is my *most used* palette lol 🤣 if it were ultra gorgeous I would have probably saved it for special occasions and never gotten much use out of those 65$🤣
For the amount money Natasha Denona costs, I'd expect more than sort of "meh" performance, though.
Robert, you may want to take a look at her new Retro Palette. It's all burgundy and mauve. Right in your wheelhouse. 💜
The Shiseido pen might be good for James! Since its light coverage and is used to cover up small spots🙂
"Cheap" connotes poorly made, and not just inexpensive.
So nice to hear Viseart mentioned!
You should try Natasha Denona Circo Loco palette it is absolutely amazing and the shimmers are just wow...She has different formulas on shimmers and some of them are not meant to be in your face shimmer
I was literally looking for a new Welsh video I hadn’t seen, so this was uploaded at the perfect time 😌✨
You are the only person I trust to offer honest, fair, and unbiased reviews/recommendations. Thank you! 🖤
You know why ‘cause there’s no purple and in my mind that means it’s not exciting”
Honestly I’ve never related to anything more.
As soon as he said "It's not very exciting." my first thought was "well it doesn't have purple, Robert." I laughed so hard when he "agreed" with me. 🤣
Live the highlighter and blush! I have all the colorpop products! My votes for you!!!!!!!
I don't even wear makeup, yet Robert has me watching every video on this channel.
Natasha Denona can be a hit or miss. I always want to hear a few people's reviews of her palette before I buy it.
In my opinion, Biba is her best palette so far
For the prices they charge, their products should NEVER be "hit or miss" (also, remember the UK have no returns on makeup)...
@@elainebines6803 I don't have that one but I like her gold and the glam is nice. I was disappointed with the retro palette. Boring!
@@GMW.artist that's a good point.
🧛🏻♀️💜
these videos are the reason why i literally only trust robert when it comes to product recommendations. he has never failed me. 🥰🥰
you always know how to make products work, even when they’re terrible 💕
Sign of a true artist. Our Robert has serious skills... 🖤
@@GMW.artist Ditto!
I love how you don't get influenced at all by other opinions regarding makeup! Especially regarding natasha denona
I find it interesting that you love viseart but find ND hard to blend - for me it's the opposite like I struggle to blend viseart and dont like the formula, whereas I find ND is super easy for me to blend and I love the formula. I wonder if technique has anything to do with it
The second you put the ColourPop on! Wow
Have a wonderful day Robert❤️ I hope you win! You deserve it. I'll vote for you!!!
When you said you thought of the eye shadow palette to be boring I thought immediately:
"It's probably because it's not purple".
1,000% voted for you, I’ve learned a lot in the short time I’ve been watching you! 💕✨ hope you & James are having a great day !🥰
I love my zendo pallette.
It was more like a lipstick and thick as fuck lol
I’d probably love the new and improved version to clean the shadow quicker.
Hah was just watching your top 5 favourites video and this popped up! Excellent timing as always Robert
Some people don't though.. remember that too!!... ✌🏽😎💜💜💜
@@GMW.artist very true !
@@GMW.artist I couldn't agree more! :)
I really love the eyeshadow colors you put together. It's a super cute eye look.
Anyone else like Robert’s video BEFORE watching it?
I know I’m not the only one. 🥰
Every single time!! :)
Had to use the NYX drop location because my pale skin and tone are very tricky to get at the drugstore. It’s fine if you are working with very small amounts, as you attempted here. I used a stippling brush to get a medium coverage
I love elf I haven’t found a product from them that I don’t like...
So in Sephora Australia, that Zendo palette is $100. The Circo Loco palette they released just before this one is $203, and is the same size. The little five pan palettes retail for $38. I have to ship other brands internationally and it’s still cheaper in the end 😅
You’re so refreshing! 🖤
I use the Nyx total control as a way to change the color and add a more watery texture to my other foundation like IT cosmetics. I have oily skin and hate how thick a regular foundation can be so this helps keep pigment without the creaminess
Does anyone else really enjoy watching it dawn on Robert that he really hates something, and he's so British about it?
"Oh dear... it's horrible."
I ABSOLUTELY love your honesty, regardless of whether the product is hella expensive or cheap as chips. A good product is a good product. As always love your videos. Informative and entertaining 🤗🇦🇺
That first pallet is the definition of underwhelming.
I am lubbin these second chances vidyoz Robert 🖤
Please review Gurlain’s Fantasy Collection (wildlife one) that has recently come out!
Is it just me or is the Natasha Denona brand on a spiraling downfall? No shade, i love their formulas it’s just from what i’ve recently noticed
The new Retro midi pallet is amazing! Not alot of shimmer special shades but the matte selection and the tones, its my everyday.
I'm wondering if fenty changed formulation
I agree.
I have no problem with "cheaper" but I guess some would mind it because it equates to "poor quality" rather than "less expensive"
