2:21 minutes in and it’s already SUPER informative. As someone who just bought a gen 3 KLR this video is a godsend. Thank you for the amount of detail you have supplied.
I used 5/32 connectors. The female end of the connector I added was a little lose on the male end of the factory connector, but slightly pinching it with a crimper before connecting gave it a snug fit. The male end of the connector’s I used fit snug in the female end of the factory connector.
I just installed mine. I had a delay in the relay so I picked one up at Autozone Duralast 20742 I already had the connectors, once installed I added Dielectric grease to all the connectors. Selling point for me was the idea of having a volt meter and fast charge ports.
I see the link to order the cigarette lighter power port for my 2023 KLR 650 but not to order the kit with the relay and connectors that come with it. Thanks for the instructional video.
