During this season I kept reading "Suni is not going to be on the team, she has yet to prove she is consistent at Beam and Bars", and people laughed at me when I said that even if Suni fell off at Beam, she would be on the team, and guess what has happened. Suni, due to her kidney disease, has only competed in Beam all season, proving her consistency and on 3 occasions placing above Simone Biles, the current world champion in Beam, Suni had nothing to prove in Beam, she could fail perfectly, her spot was already locked. It's a shame because we are all looking forward to her getting a 15 in Beam, but we have to be patience because that will happen at the Olympics. Good luck Suni!
@@youarerien8874 not for Suni, she is the best in Beam in US, and she is Top 2 in bars behind SHilese, and we all know that she can bet Shilese, but she didn't show it yet. Suni was 100% locked. With Shilese, Kaylia and Sky maybe she wouldn't go to the AA, but we will never know, because Suni has a tough competition because of the injuries of her friends.
Good job Suni no matter what the hater words don’t listen for them just patience and calm then you will win do more practice and get enough sleep. We are pray for you to win win win 🥇 we love you ❤🙏🙏🙏
The top 3 fell off beam yesterday. Beam is an apparatus that you just never know what’s going to happen, it is so much more mental than anything. The harder the routine, the more it gets to their head. Nonetheless, Suni is a fighter. Knowing she fell on beam, she came back and kicked ass on vault and placed 2nd all around!! This girl is amazing!
Domestic judges are VERY generous to give her credit for dance series composition requirement. Suni needs to have a back up dance series when this happens.
Yes, they do, so I don't think she will be a reserve. Beam is a strain for any team kkk But do you think Shilene can still go?! I think one month is too little time for her to recover and train to compete.
@@GutoBCN Look, I don't doubt anything. Mainly from Biles, who won the beam last year, when she had problems on the beam too and China had qualified ahead of her. The big problem is that China is exactly like Biles in difficulty on the beam kkk they can make a lot of mistakes, but they are also not consistent and China's connections are very questionable. @@GutoBCNUhm sure-most teams can be contenders when they are “on.” Chinese are not consistent-and their floor and vaults are usually weaker than most other teams, unless they’ve made major upgrades I haven’t seen yet. I wish all ladies to do well…we haven’t had too many “nail biters” lately…
WHY is THAT BEAM causing so many people SO many problems?? Someone rigged the beam, didn't maintain it, slicked it, or something!! Waaay TOO many gymnasts are having problems with that stupid thing this weekend.
They don't even hear the music. They train hours and hours. With music and all sorts of distraction. That is not an excuse as that makes no difference.
I remember reading that Marta (former wag coordinator) unofficially banned any type of mount where gymnasts flip onto bars after Alicia fell off the beam from her mount during teams competition back in 2008. I just feel like the risks isn't worth it.
I keep asking why do athletes in all types of sports choose to do risky things when they can achieve the same results with safer alternatives?? Even the best ones fall for it!!
Honestly, if you get to know all the skills in the gymnastics code of points, you'll see that 99.9% of these girls are doing the same boring and safe skills as everyone else.
she was ranked #1 on beam day 1 with the highest beam score of that night… she’s incredible on bars but beam is also definitely and obviously in her strongest skills despite this one routine
This actually is her second strongest skill. She did fine, during practice... doing exactly what she did here. Simone also fell, as did Jordan Chiles. This is BB, the most terryfying apparatus in gymnastics, men and women: even the GOLD MEDALIST for this event, from world and Olympics, could EASILY fall like any other! Do you remember the name Jordyn Weiber, the current head coach of the Arkansas women's college gymnastics? Weiber --- I think it was the 2016 Olympics, London or Brazil, I can't remember which but I remember reading and watching the very skilled Jordyn Weiber doing BB before the real competition ---- was touted as an overall great and the BB was her greatest, more assured apparatus. She's a bit older than Simone Biles, but Biles had gotten into the group, then, as the most junior member, at the US Senior Gymnastics women's team... Jordyn Weiber NEVER got to compete on all-around or the BB, due to some falls during competition. At the Olympics, she was a member of the American Gold Medalists; but individually, she never got to show her BB skills, due to low BB scores from the preliminary events. As you know, in the Olympics, only 2 members from each nation get to do All-Around... for the most coveted AA Gold Medal.... and only those with the highest, on individual apparatuses, get to win individual gold's on those.... Again, this apparatus TAKES ANYONE DOWN, at any time, regardless who they are or how many times they've nailed it in previous events...
Like you could do better? The only thing that sucks here is your arrogance and blatant disrespect for years and years of hard work that is only barely represented by one bad routine.
I don't think so. The thing about Shane is that they have enough high-ranking people on the events he's best at. What they don't have, if you choose the team by all-around score alone, is someone who excels on pommel horse. It therefore made sense for the men's team to choose a pommel horse specialist instead of someone like Shane. Suni isn't in nearly that same situation. With Shilese gone, the U.S. team is in desperate need of a decent bar worker, which Suni is. She's also proven time again that she's a phenomenal beam worker, and that tonight's performance was just a fluke. Sure, Suni still isn't quite at her 2021 best, but there's currently no one in contention for the U.S. team who is nearly as solid on beam and bars as she is. She'd be filling in a much-needed gap, whereas Shane wouldn't be.
Doubt it. Theres a big hole on bars without Shilese. Even with this routine, she makes my team along with Simone, Jordan, Jade. I'm waffling on the 5th.
I’ll say this again. You all are commenting these insults on a video of a woman being let down because of a fluke due to pressure. This is the OLYMPICS. And please show me that you could in your wildest dreams do nearly as good as her. You people are unbelievable.
Arghh and after that clutch bar routine too. Elite gymnastics is as brutal as it is beautiful.
Poor suni, and she had just kicked booty on the bars, wahhh.. Please God be with her, and all of our girls!
