@@grohl666 Thank you so much for commenting again! It’s an honor and I’m a big fan of your work! I think that your heavy lift helicopter is fantastic! I like the Land Rover defender too and I had a lot of fun with the zetros! Unfortunately I’m unable to see your original comment.
Mini Bulldozer is best cos it's B model is just as good as the A model - it's a tiny excavator which not only uses the worm gear, it also fits the overall theme.
I'm missing the Mini Claas 42102 on this list. It also has tons of alternate builds. In terms of functions and play value I'd also have a look at the 42084 small hook loader. I really like your channel since it has not only reviews of current sets but also gives a lot of information on older LEGO Technic sets. Thanks for your work.
The race plane is my first and so far only LEGO Technic set. It has great playability and looks pretty good. I will be getting the Formula E Porsche as soon as I see it on shelves at my local store, it looks good and I am interested to see the pull back function with the release mechanism.
I also notice that modern Lego Technic 10$ sets need to include at least one interesting piece, example : 42088 : includes worm gear and 24 tooth gear 41126 : includes clamshell bucket that first introduced in 42043 42084 : includes large grey panels 42102 : includes 2 large 36 tooth gears 42101 : includes a very nice shock absorber 42035 : includes chains and piston engine
Great list! The only thing I was missing from it is the 42102 Mini CLAAS XERION. That has 173 alternate builds on Rebrickable!! That's insane in my opinion. It is actually the 5th most popular set to build alternates from, on Rebrickable! Keep up the great work :)
I only have the mini class xerion and the mini cherry picker both sets I really liked and the cherry picker was my first contact with lego technic gears!
i bought that set and i'm fascinated. out of 130 pieces, 10 are gears, including two 36 teeth bevel gears. It's an excelent complement to my 51515 Mindstorms set
@@josepablosalazar4417 some mini sets can be great! I have other bigger sets (3 pullbacks and the 42108) and this year I plan to get 42126 but I also have the look at 42117
Yup the small crane was awesome, I still have it... By the way, for the telehandler or the forklift with control+, don't you think one could be the b model ( laugh, even if you have hopes... ) of the other, as the motorized functions are pretty similar?
I really love this NXT robot that you made in the background. I’m getting inspired with this lego NXT robot. Just tell me please what is the name of that robot and what can it do. So I can build this lego robot too, on my own with my Lego EV3 set. 3:38
Interesting. 8215 was probably my first Technic set I ever got as a child. I probably should see if I can restore it... Parts are scattered across old lego bins. Key part being if I can find the yellow tubes. I loved 42088 for its orange parts, we actually did some parts drafting with a couple lego buddies, so I have a couple sets worth of bits in store. Also, I might have to get a 42116 while those are still around. I tend to be iffy on red sets, because I rarely find use for red parts.
Hey unbrickme, I love your UA-cam channel. It inspired me to buy the Cat D11 Technic set. This is the third Lego Technic set I have done. The first one was the Liebherr 9800. That was fun... In any case, I have gotten to the first build test for the Cat D11 and most of the actions I should see, are not happening. In other words, the wrong things are moving when I do the test. Do I tear the whole thing down and start over, or is there a better way to troubleshoot these kinds of issues? Keep up the amazing work.

I miss the 42102 Mini Claas Xerion, too. It has a steering and the same amount of gears (10) as the 42125 Ferrari.
yes I definitely should've included the mini claas xerion

Hey Unbrickme, Great video as always
Here is an idea for a video
Top 5 best technic pullback sets
Awesome idea
I really wish Lego focused more on different building techniques, than on sets designed to be on display. Encourage modding sets to make it better.

are you kidding me?
8290 was actually my first LEGO Technic set! Can we get a best $20 sets video? Some of my favorite Technic sets fall into that price range.
Nice! yeah that's actually a pretty good idea!
what about LEGO 42132 Technic Motorcycle sure it doesnt have much function but its great
what about 42102 tractor? it has rare pieces and good functionality. i was expecting it on this list!
I definitely should've put that one on the list
I Remember when i got the 3:42 lego set. I was extremly happy
Hell yeah! The race plane is the ideal 10$ set. The looks are spot on and the only function that it has works flawlessly
I was so delighted to see the Mini Telehandler because it was my first Technic set that brought me to the world outside lf System bricks
The alternate builds for that plane... Wow! That A-wing looked quite cool. Great colors, too!
Milan Reindl is amazing!
For a next vid, could u pls do Top 5 best technic sets w/ gearboxes? :)
I can't believe how old these sets are ... heck I got a few of em ... and thats decades ago.
in my opinion, every little set with tracks instead of wheels deserves attention.
True, track system in Lego Technic is something special
The mini bulldozer was also a excelent source of caterpilar tread chain links. I remember buying 4 sets solely for the tracks.
Finally, lego technic sets I can afford.

I want to make my own Diy kits with lego technic how is it possible?
I have 5 of those race planes i mostly make them look like WWII Planes
Can you do 10$ to 20$ best lego technic sets? Please
Kinda a cheat, but the first year of Bionicle was technically under the technic line. So the Toa mata could "technically" make the list.
Me and my family arent rich, but thanks for the guide!
Why the 42102 was not included, to my mid its much better than 42116
I Have that mini Unimog and its great set

Isn't the cherry picker from 2019 not just a recolor of the one from 2016?
There was no cherry picker in 2016
