I started rabbits at 13 also! She inspired me a ton when it comes to rabbits. I’m 15 now and I’ve got 11 breeder rabbits and I love raising bunnies. I raid holland lops. My advice to you is to start with the best quality rabbits that you can afford and don’t make the mistake I did of just getting the first rabbits you can get your hands on. I’m just now getting to the point where I have show quality rabbits.

Just got done building one of these and I'm so happy with it! The plans are clear, concise, and just beautiful. I'm pretty experienced so I usually just wing it when I build things but this plan saved me a lot of time, money, and trips to the lumber yard! I live in a rainy area so I upgraded to pressure treated 2x4's and added siding to the exterior of the dens. I also split it into two pens with one smaller den on each end, with two roof doors. My bunnies are very much enjoying their upgrade! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful product.

Good morning I just found your channel yesterday and I watched several of your videos already. You do such a great job on your videos!! Very professional!! I'm 65 years old and live in Indiana. When I was a young boy my Dad and I raised meat rabbits for a number of years till I got out of high school and got married. Those were some of the best years of my life and you are bringing those memories back to me to enjoy all over again. Please keep doing what you're doing because you are such a natural in front of the camera and that is no easy thing to do. Thank you so much and take care. Larry

I really like the way you designed the floor. With no place for poop build up. And the little shelf in the enclosed area.
We build ours vertically so we have a steel sheet under each floor for the waste to land on & roll out to a "catch" area where we can easily get the poop for the garden.
We have made it so they can run up & down between the floors.
Our space is limited so we felt we had to find a way to build up. One day we hope to have room like you have.
    Great information Subscribed!

I moved back in July and I have a few over the door hangers I used in my apartment that don't fit any of my cabinets in this house. I was considering taking them to goodwill, but I think you just gave me another idea for what I can do with them.
I have a colony set up for my rabbits, but I've been putting their hay in a cardboard box. As expected, they ate the cardboard box. Those hangers I can use in the house anymore will probably be great in my rabbit enclosure.
I'm watching this video because I need to build a second enclosure so I can split the girls and boys.

    • @stitchinginthesticks2719
      @stitchinginthesticks2719 9 місяців тому

@@kawaiisenshi2401 if you are referring to what to built first for growouts, she has plans for the tractor, and these as far as I know.
I built the tractors because I wanted my growouts to have fresh grass everyday. Quickly I realized it is hard work to move them everyday (they are heavy), and also (in my climate) keep them off of wet ground when it rains. 2 major downfalls.
These plans though seem to take care of both those problems. However, it does deny them of being on the ground with fresh grass.
I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

I just found your channel and absolutely love your videos. Thank you so much! I don’t raise or breed rabbits however, every once in a while a while, baby rabbit will make its way into our garage. Today I found two baby rabbits lost in my garden. I know it’s mama or Papa is there somewhere out in the backyard because I see him or her every night. However, I don’t know exactly where the babies came from and would like your recommendation. I can raise them for a while because we live out on a farm, but I am not exactly sure what to feed them. I’ve heard that for the first several weeks, according to other videos, they drink their mother’s milk. I’m not sure how to make that happen or if there’s something alternative that I can give to them right now. They seem to be two weeks old because they can barely see. They are so adorable. I just wanna make sure that they’re safe because we have neighbor cats that seem to eat every little thing in sight including field mice and possibly baby rabbits that I’ve seen them caring around before. I don’t know if they’re playing with the baby rabbits or if cats literally eat baby rabbits. However, I love rabbits so much. I just want to keep them safe until it’s OK to set them free outback. I can also have my husband make a little crate for them and put it in that area hopefully they’ll go back to their spot, just not sure. Again great video wonderful information. Thank you so much again.

Wondering whether it may be cost effective to purchase enough wire for both and make the modular cages myself.

Hey there, i just had question how many rabbits can fit in one of these grow out hutches for them to be happy and not to crowded. And how long do you keep them in this hutch? (I would be raising rabbits for meat)

I have a question. I see so many people are using the bigger wire for rabbits, but I’m concerned about snakes. We have a lot around here, and I know a pretty big snake can fit through a 1” x 1” hole. I’m not concerned about the adults, but I would be concerned about the smaller baby bunnies. Is this ever a problem for anyone?

Where were you able to buy your 14 gauge hardware cloth for the bottom? I can't find anything 14 gauge around here

How did you get involved with the Livestock Conservancy? What are the requirements for the grant? That sounds awesome.

Could you just use 1/2" hardware cloth for the bottom instead of 12/" x 1"?

You keep calling them tractors, but they don’t look mobile. Can you move them around the yard? Or are they just hutches and not tractors at all?

They’re just hutches. Coming off of 4 years of using tractors. Force of habit lol
