I started fitness thanks to weed,i was looking for ways to get an higher high ,and internet adviced cardio. I started going to the hostel gym, a couple of hits and i would stay for hours. Started lifting weights to feel the pump amplify it too.
I don't see any CBD products where I live, but we have legal recreational weed and there's a dispensary on every other corner. I don't smoke weed anymore, but I used to like having a toke before lifting 25 years ago. It made me zone in on it.
I do want to say that cannabis can have an appetite suppression effect especially directly after consuming/vaporizing/smoking very strong percentages of THC. Also with vaporization you can vaporize the cannabis flower as well and I recommend this over vaporizing any high concentrated THC oils/concentrates. Other than this I agree with what was said here in the video. I also think daily use can cause more harm than good especially for sleep function as you are not allowing your body to properly maintain REM sleep. Weed is great tho but needs proper moderation and safe use tactics. Thanks for the video :)

On my last workout of the week. I smoke, with my vape while walking back home, about 2km. Then I stretch, the whole body, as soon as I'm home. It's a glorious feeling. I feel every muscle and joint,my breathing is attune too. Low key, I've gained a better mobility and sleep. Maybe the combination of being warm and the weed, i don't know but its enjoyable, my gains are consistent and i feel good.
I find that smoking the morning, doing your routine THEN going to the gym when you’re not high anymore makes for the best workout then smoke RIGHT after for recovery purposes

My blood pressure goes through the roof, and i get shaky as hell if i smoke first. Regardless of its lack of carcinogenic chemicals, smoke isnt good for you. I used to be a habitual pot head, smoking 3-4 grams a day (yes, im aware). Now that i smoke less than a gram a day, if i smoke that day at all, ive noticed most areas of my life improved. Less irritable, my chess ELO went from 750 to 1200, my strength in the gym has improved tremendously, and i feel better all around. I only smoke about 3-4 hours before bed now. Late enough to help me chill, but not too late that it affects my REM sleep.
Cartridges are ostensibly healthier in some ways than smoking (minus regulatory concerns), but dry herb vaporization is way healthier, besides only the usual grow practice concerns (if not less due to lower temps) with flower are present

Med patient here! I smoke for my herniated discs/scoliosis and since the pain from that impairs my ability to produce force immensely (especially with my legs and rectors), I smoke a bowl specifically as a preworkout, and again as a postworkout to counteract the inflammation in my spine. So far I don't necessarily feel weaker compared to when I was training sober, but then again I was training with a body that isn't exactly standard lol. So probably an outlier there. Definitely have seen a significant reduction in t levels and I'd imagine my gains are being reduced as well, but like I said, med patient, so I don't have much choice. Thanks for the info! Will definitely be sure to pay extra attention to my cardiovascular health in the coming years.
Really nice video, I would had just a notion when you explain the pros and cons of different way of taking cannabis, you explain there's is smoking/vaping/edibles but there's also vaporizator which doesn't create any combustion so it's better for lungs (volcano for example) and for the country in which is illegal to smoke you can still buy one, you can just vaporize your weed and inhale it, it's much better than smoking (bonus point you can use your "vaporizated weed" to make edibles with it. I would have love to see it in this video. Anyway good work keep going
If I’m sore, get stoned and go to sleep before the dose wears off I wake up way sorer than usual. If I go to sleep sober that just doesn’t happen. Therefore I suspect it impairs recovery quite significantly probably because of the disturbance to REM sleep. Haven’t watched the vid yet btw just wanted to share my thoughts first. When I was a teen I often trained high. I found it easier to train hard because of the pain reduction. I’d also be super focused and have so much fun. I don’t do that as an adult because I know if I’m stoned I will take every set to failure. I can’t recover from that and I’m strong enough now that the risk of injury is probably greater. Overuse issues and such just weren’t an issue back then but they are now.
For people vaping dry herb, please please please consider using something like a Dynavap. Ever since I got one especially for home use, it feels a lot cleaner and less smellier than smoking conventionally. If you vape OIL, then obviously ymmv and please find quality sources.

It will eventually come full circle and show that it's actually helpful. Same with ROM, volume, intensity and cardio. used to lift after work , get home take a rip , have an apple and a cup of coffee , the exercise was actually quite sobering , not really feeling high by the time i have finished my warmup , 5-10 mins of cardio , depending on who you ask i do my warmups wrong , i usually aim for around 140bpm , hold it there for a few minutes then get to my max haertrate and keep it there for 30 seconds to a minute then dropping back down to 130-140 in a cooldown phase , i always went at the busyest time for the gym so the weed helped curb the annoyance of being pressed for time and not being able to do my planned workouts due to the gym being busy , i dont lift anymore but i still cycle , i dont smoke befoe i do my cycling and find having weed after a big race really helps with the DOMS . weed safety is an interesting topic , theres no regulated market by me but it is legal for me to cultivate my own so that always leaves me with periods where i dont have ANY
I've smoked everyday for years. I started the gym in December 2023, with a good diet, and focused on hypertrophy. I've gained 22 pounds of muscle in the last 10 months. I do not think weed had much of a negative besides reducing growth stimulus. I might be a specific case, but I did notice my test go up after I went to a proper bulk diet.

Hey. I have smoked about 10-11 years, and most of this time have done workouts. First was of ckurse very hard HIIT workouts and next basic and skill based calisthenics workout. Never had any issue and it was much more better for me than not smoking :)

I’ve been lowering my frequency because I’ve lived many of the findings… It’s great until you outgrow it. Focus is often better without it now, pain tolerance is much greater so less dependent on it. I realize it’s often a crutch/cast but we need to heal the internal wounds/injuries and outgrow the medication as much as possible.
Dr. Pak should have mentioned that edibles bypass some of the defenses that prevent people from getting so high when smoking. It is not simply dose and length of time you're high; it's an end compound that your brain is more sensitive to.

I always wake and bake. I train around 6pm after at least 2 meals. I take my protein shake right after and I Smoke a J to get hungry and mellow down for dinner. Going high to the gym for me does not work I loose intensity and get lost in other thoughts. My gain is all about the squeeze so the muscle connection I need to have in control in all times
For me personally i like to drink a celsius while i burn one skimpy joint n one bowl pack from the bong sets me in a focus that isnt too much. Again, thats me personally. 🙏🏾

There are many different study’s proving that for a few hours after smoking your test it up semi significantly but as you said there’s study’s that say it decreases but all the literature Is mixed on the subject
Minor point of clarification: CBD is definitely psychoactive as that is generally defined as anything that impacts the mind. CBD for sure does as it has known anxiolytic and other effects on the mind. I think this video makes the common mistake of stating that it is not psychoactive while probably intending to mean it is not intoxicating (i.e. it shouldn't impair typical human function - basically no high feeling).
in my experience it effects performance more than muscle growth. even high your body just have to repair whats broken. but the body doesnt need to learn -> minimize performance... sadly :(

There is no way weed inhibits growth. I can pound an extra 4,000 to 5,000 calories on top of what I normally eat when high. No jar of peanut butter, no bag of walnuts, no loaf of bread, no bag of shredded cheese, no nothing is safe. I don’t know if it’s because of the little bit of gear and growth that I use, but it seems like every time I go on a massive stoned binge, I wake up with no bloat at all. Does THC help with nutrient partitioning? 🤔 I imagine daily cannabis is a godsend for bodybuilders on a serious bulk

I don't work out very heavy but I do find that smoking really helps my mind muscle connection and my form is much better when I'm high
used to lift after work , get home take a rip , have an apple and a cup of coffee , the exercise was actually quite sobering , not really feeling high by the time i have finished my warmup , 5-10 mins of cardio , depending on who you ask i do my warmups wrong , i usually aim for around 140bpm , hold it there for a few minutes then get to my max haertrate and keep it there for 30 seconds to a minute then dropping back down to 130-140 in a cooldown phase , i always went at the busyest time for the gym so the weed helped curb the annoyance of being pressed for time and not being able to do my planned workouts due to the gym being busy , i dont lift anymore but i still cycle , i dont smoke befoe i do my cycling and find having weed after a big race really helps with the DOMS . weed safety is an interesting topic , theres no regulated market by me but it is legal for me to cultivate my own so that always leaves me with periods where i dont have ANY
Pulling day - get high, headphones, meditate through the burn until failure. Repeat

I've smoked everyday for years. I started the gym in December 2023, with a good diet, and focused on hypertrophy. I've gained 22 pounds of muscle in the last 10 months. I do not think weed had much of a negative besides reducing growth stimulus. I might be a specific case, but I did notice my test go up after I went to a proper bulk diet.
Just smashed a 335 on bench as a 5’10 natty, and I was higher than giraffe nipples. It’s all in the mind.

Hey. I have smoked about 10-11 years, and most of this time have done workouts. First was of ckurse very hard HIIT workouts and next basic and skill based calisthenics workout. Never had any issue and it was much more better for me than not smoking :)

I’ve been lowering my frequency because I’ve lived many of the findings… It’s great until you outgrow it. Focus is often better without it now, pain tolerance is much greater so less dependent on it. I realize it’s often a crutch/cast but we need to heal the internal wounds/injuries and outgrow the medication as much as possible.

Dr. Pak should have mentioned that edibles bypass some of the defenses that prevent people from getting so high when smoking. It is not simply dose and length of time you're high; it's an end compound that your brain is more sensitive to.
Ive got low tolerance yet I can eat 50 mg of thc edibles and less effect than a single puff on a joint.

I train around 6pm after at least 2 meals. I take my protein shake right after and I Smoke a J to get hungry and mellow down for dinner.
Going high to the gym for me does not work I loose intensity and get lost in other thoughts. My gain is all about the squeeze so the muscle connection I need to have in control in all times

For me personally i like to drink a celsius while i burn one skimpy joint n one bowl pack from the bong sets me in a focus that isnt too much. Again, thats me personally. 🙏🏾

Being high in the gym kinda helps me focus on deep muscle tension, but I have a habit of smoking all day so I'm like back and forth with it. Love/Hate relationship for sure.

Definitely smoking before the gym makes me not lift as much and lower stamina
However sometimes when I do I can feel the stretch alot more when I go slow on reps
So I just smoke after the gym no more before hand

There are many different study’s proving that for a few hours after smoking your test it up semi significantly but as you said there’s study’s that say it decreases but all the literature Is mixed on the subject

Minor point of clarification: CBD is definitely psychoactive as that is generally defined as anything that impacts the mind. CBD for sure does as it has known anxiolytic and other effects on the mind.
I think this video makes the common mistake of stating that it is not psychoactive while probably intending to mean it is not intoxicating (i.e. it shouldn't impair typical human function - basically no high feeling).
For some reason I get way better mind muscle connection when I'm baked before the gym. I struggle to connect with my lats normally but it fixes that
in my experience it effects performance more than muscle growth. even high your body just have to repair whats broken. but the body doesnt need to learn -> minimize performance... sadly :(

I only vape every third day , daily doze of weed aint it. Did it , decided that addiction to get good sleep rather then bad sleep because of conditioning Problems has impacted that decision

Hey DrPak, sleep impairment effects of cannabis (decreased REM sleep) are due to THC or also due to CBD and other cannabinoids? If one smoked cbd weed before sleep, would that also impair sleep quality?
I use weed on rest days to help me be more active instead of being on the golden throne from doms. Good for sleep too
There is no way weed inhibits growth. I can pound an extra 4,000 to 5,000 calories on top of what I normally eat when high. No jar of peanut butter, no bag of walnuts, no loaf of bread, no bag of shredded cheese, no nothing is safe. I don’t know if it’s because of the little bit of gear and growth that I use, but it seems like every time I go on a massive stoned binge, I wake up with no bloat at all. Does THC help with nutrient partitioning? 🤔 I imagine daily cannabis is a godsend for bodybuilders on a serious bulk

Idk Ive smoked weed and haven’t smoked weed for long periods in my life and notice literally no difference in my gains. Also if Dr. Mike says it’s fine, I trust him.
