This video and guide was instrumental in giving me the confidence to replace my keyboard. At 15:30 you hit a roadblock and get discouraged, thinking the LCD cannot be separated. The top portion of the bottom part of the case is held to the LCD by two screws on each side. The two screws can be revealed by taking the cover off. It unpops with one friction clip on each end and then slides back away from the assembly, revealing the screws. I now have essentially a new laptop because I was able to order the entire keyboard and top half of the case off of ebay for $90. Thank you!!!
I really wanted too see how you're supposed to take the fan off the radiator to clean the dust between there, I'm pretty sure there's a mat of dust blocking mine since there's no air blowing out :(
Hey so the screws of the heatsink that don't come out entirely what size are those.I was cleaning my laptop and not one of my screwdrivers fit in those
Hi UberGeeks, i have the same laptop (but the amd variant), and i was stupid enough to put a password for the bios. After not checking it for sometime, i forgot it and now i can't access my bios. Can you please tell me which chip in the motherboard is the bios chip. Im will maybe try to desoldering it to try to read it with the svcc programmer and find my bios password, or rewrite it. can you please help me
Hello, I have lenovo Legion 5 Pro-16ITH6 I7-11800H ( Type 82JF ) , The BIOS is corrupted, and now nothing shows the screen. Any methods can recover BIOS ? is this laptop two BIOS chips on it? and where are they located on the motherboard ? if reprogramming the BIOS, how to keep the serial number in the BIOS? Thank you
Unbelievable. I ordered a new keyboard, took the entire laptop apart, just to get to the point where you said the keyboard can't be replaced in this model. Fuck Lenovo they've given me nothing but issues
bruh fucking same... although I have an 16ACH6H legion 5 pro so idk if that applies to me too but I'm sitting here right now with the entire damn thing disassembled and a new keyboard right next to me...
actually you can replace it, I replace a few, after you get into this point (in this video), there's another panel at the ports, you just have to remove them by pulling them up, after that, you will find another screw, just unscrew them and the lcd cover and the uppercase (keyboard panel) will now be separated
