In men, hair often begins to recede from the forehead.
    Male-pattern baldness
Women tend to lose hair along the part.
    Female-pattern baldness
Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata) is sometimes preceded by itchy or painful scalp.
    Patchy hair loss (alopecia areata)
Repeated stress on the hair can cause a type of hair loss called traction alopecia.
    Traction alopecia
t's becoming increasingly common for menopausal women to experience frontal fibrosing alopecia, in which the hairline moves back.
    Frontal fibrosing alopecia
Hair loss can appear in many different ways, depending on what's causing it. It can come on suddenly or gradually and affect just your scalp or your whole body.
Signs and symptoms of hair loss may include:
Gradual thinning on top of head. This is the most common type of hair loss, affecting people as they age. In men, hair often begins to recede at the hairline on the forehead. Women typically have a broadening of the part in their hair. An increasingly common hair loss pattern in older women is a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia).
Circular or patchy bald spots. Some people lose hair in circular or patchy bald spots on the scalp, beard or eyebrows. Your skin may become itchy or painful before the hair falls out.
Sudden loosening of hair. A physical or emotional shock can cause hair to loosen. Handfuls of hair may come out when combing or washing your hair or even after gentle tugging. This type of hair loss usually causes overall hair thinning but is temporary.
Full-body hair loss. Some conditions and medical treatments, such as chemotherapy for cancer, can result in the loss of hair all over your body. The hair usually grows back.
Patches of scaling that spread over the scalp. This is a sign of ringworm. It may be accompanied by broken hair, redness, swelling and, at times, oozing.
    When to see a doctor
See your doctor if you are distressed by persistent hair loss in you or your child and want to pursue treatment. For women who are experiencing a receding hairline (frontal fibrosing alopecia), talk with your doctor about early treatment to avoid significant permanent baldness.
Also talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your or your child's hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment.
People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.

I'm getting a hair system for the first time in a couple weeks. Glad to find this video because I need to go back to the salon with some idea of the style I want, and this gives me several ideas. There really needs to be an app where you can pinpoint your hairline and try out some of these styles.

One interesting thing about Phil from Hair4All is that he's actually had a (very conservative) hair transplant - he had the temple hair on the sides of his head transplanted. By using a few hundred hairs each side to restore the temples; it then enables you to wear a system with a lower hairline. This is EXACTLY how hair transplantation should be used IMO as most men will have enough donor hair for life to keep the temples restored enough to avoid the 'wide head' look.

My hairdresser said that it's normal and I should style it to look unnoticeable.

I'm a person who never really had hair on my temples to begin with. Even when I had a full head of hair and was far too young to be going bald, I never really had hair on my temples. With that said, I like how it looks. Is there any work arounds/ways to emulate hair on the temples with a hair system, even if you never really had it?
Thanks for consistently posting, I still watch almost every one of them! Never stop what you do.

For example a home hair cutting system usually comes with 8 different number grades 1 to 8 with #8 being one inch length cut
Do you think you could achieve a realistic crew cut with blade having one inch length on system hair?

The problem is, hair systems look their best after they've been fitted. But after a couple of washes they can suddenly become extremely hard to manage as the texture of the hair can change drastically. I'd love to see a version of this video that re-examines hairstyles a few weeks into wearing. I would wager a lot of these styles wouldn't look as good.

What youve said is not actually true

    • @-The-Golden-God-
      @-The-Golden-God- Рік тому

@@alexburbank2443 It is 100% true. The manufacturers even acknowledged this themselves. When the hair arrives, it's coated in silicone, which is applied using an industrial process. The silicone is what gives the hair its silky feeling. As you wash the hair, you remove the silicone and you're left with hair that's much drier and coarse. You then have to try and condition the hair to try and combat the dryness; but nothing will ever compare to the industrial application of silicone.
When you get a new lace system, the manufacturers tell you to wash it, in order to remove the silicone from the lace, as it interferes with adhesives.
So to claim that everything I said is untrue, is utter nonsense.
