    Dude finally found a vid with my car!!! Took a minute. Looks easy peasy after lifting the engine. Thank you thank you! Saved me 400 bucks for a shop to do it

    I mean there isssss a torque spec but you're also right, dont over torque them, you'll know when they are seated. Listed below are the torque specs for the whole process. And also, you're correct about part #'s.
    Also thanks for showing me the best way to get the driver side off, jacking the motor that direction makes a TON more roam, almost impossible without doing that.
    Relevant torque specs:
    •Valve cover bolts: 3.6ft/lbs.
    •oil separator bolts: 4.7ft/lbs.
    •oil filler bolts: 4.7ft/lbs.
    •Spark plugs: 15 ft/lbs.
    •coil pack: 12 ft/lbs.

    Bought a used 05' Legacy Limited GT, and I was starting to get concerned on how to remove the spark plugs or change gaskets. There might be 1" of clearance between the coil packs and the frame. This was the first vid I ran across that actually showed to tilt the motor. Thanks for the info, now time for me to get to work as my driver's gasket just started leaking.

      patayan tribe With the Hondabond HT you let it sit for 1 minute. About the time it takes to install. If you're using threebond you need to let it sit longer forsure. The Hondabond dries super fast!

    Hello what can happen if the leak was there for a long time

    • @slytewrx7408
      @slytewrx7408 4 роки тому

      if the leak was there for a long time, your oil levels will go down. if your levels go down you need to top off your oil. nothing bad will happen if you top off your oil, but if you dont top off your oil it can be bad.

    I don’t think you need to apply gasket maker on the gasket to the head. You only making it harder for the next person to install when it’s time to do it again

      @@Viper3870750 its totally fine to do so as long as you put a piece of wood between the two, dont go fast. the reason why he's cringing is because the oil pickups are prone to failure (this part is located partially in the oil pan.
