A legegyszereűbb, legteljesebb és legolcsóbb módja, hogyan töröljünk minden EEPROM-ban tárolt statisztikai adatot egy SAMSUNG CLP 310 típusú nyomtatóból azért, hogy újratölthessük a tonereket, illetve utángyártott alkatrészeket használhassunk a készülékhez. Sajnos ezt a kis RESET kapcsolót gyárilag elfelejtették beépíteni a készülékbe, de egy kis barkácsolás segítségével magunk is bővíthetjük a készülékünk lehetőségeit.

thank you for the super instruction.
At my printer the chip U1 was in a different location, but looking for the name of the chip it will work. I did a little change by connectiong ground. You can find ground at pin 4 of the chip, so it will be a little easyer to do. Just make a switch beetween pin 4 and 5 of the EEPROM.

Thank you for the guide. My CLP-310's image unit really came to the end of its life and I bought two other used devices, CLP-310 and CLP-315. I placed the reset switch in my old printer and in the other CLP-310, also checked the cables and switch function. Neither this hack nor putting a 56 Ohm resistor into the image unit did work. Any other idea?
After 3½ hours I cleaned/replaced several parts of the CLP-315 and now I am able to print. Not perfect, but that will have to do.

I wonder if this trick can work on the clp-300 bios (24C64A, the same)?
The key is to switch off the reset switch when the LED is green for the first time. My CLP 315 (clp 310 series) also needed to have taped on its chips in order to work the reset.
What do you mean by "needed to have taped on its chips"?
Does this also RESET the Toner cartridge counters?

Üdv, Egyszerűnek tűnik, nekem mégsem sikerült. CLP-315-öm van és minden esetben piros ledet kapok a próbálkozások alkalmával. Reset kapcsolás nélkül elindul, de mindenre emlékszik, ha a reset kapcsolóval indítom, akkor 8-10 mp után boot közben pirosra vált a led. Van erre megoldás?
+Foreman Szia! 310 esetén a tonerek megmozdulásakor el kell engedni a reset kapcsolót, 315 esetén pedig úgy emlékszem az egész boot folyamat alatt nyomva kell tartani. Kísérletezz, sikerülnie kell. Legyen szép napod!

the CLP-320 printer did it according to the scheme, cleared the memory, stopped printing, captures the sheets and gives out blank, even diagnostic sheets.
Działa! sprawdzone! i pomyslec ze jeszcze kilka lat temu trzeba bylo do tej drukarki chipy i inne kombinacje! A! reset ten trzeba robic na testowych tonerach albo pozaklejac styki bo inaczej nici z tego. pozdrawiam. ps w sumie to ja tylko na klika chwil do masy jeden kabelek dotknalem nie zakladalem tak jak tu wylacznika ale to jak tu jest pokazane jest juz na wieki zeby kolejny raz nie rozkrecac drukarki! Szia nem tudom nekem segítene ez a resset? a nyomtatóval az a gáz h kinyomtatja az oldalt viszont nem nyomja ki a lapot, lehet ez is ilyen beépített turpisság a samsung részéről 13044 total image count után? és a resset orvosolná? várom a válaszod előre is köszi, ja am teljesen ugyan erről a videóban látható nyomtatóról van szó
Szia! Az meg hogy lehet? A kinyomtatás egy hengerelési folyamat során megy végbe, tehát "kitolja magából" a lapot. Talán valahova félre siklik a lap és benne marad a nyomtató házában? Ezt biztosan nem orvosolja a chip reset. Legyen szép napod!

Hi, I have a CLP300. I executed all steps as explained in the video. Unfortunately when I restart the printer it only works if the reset switch is off and the counters are not decreased. If I first switch the reset on and then turn on the printer, switching off the reset after a while (tried with different delays) I only have it stuck with all red lights on. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
Only to hold the reset button until the printer begins to pound, then let go.

@@Fenyutas Oh I am working on this issue too. I was so proud and satisfied with this printer, having invested a bit more than getting the cheapest ink jet. But low and behold how it has looked up itself with a steady red light. I have ben cleaning it meticulously inside, changed the toners, fiddled and almost started believing all the reset card scams. Opened to find the reset chip once but now obviously I have to do that again. I might just cut thru the plastic on the side as it´s crap anyway if I don´t manage. I really need and want my printer. Never again a Samsung printer! What I will do is I will basically look for the size and look of the chip I think it is that looks similar to this 24c64wp chip, determine if it does the similar task and then bend a cable and hold it (as I saw in another clip about a slightly more advanced model).
@@ifthebeltiscrackedor 24c64wp is a eeprom, Electronicly erasable programmable read only memory (bit misleading in the read only part) its writable storage that wont be erased when the power is lost (like with RAM). Its also availeble in 16, 128 and lager and smaller "sizes" as in storage. Not all devices check if the chip ID is the same and if not, any 24C?? will do if the size and protocol is the same they speak. to be safe, buy another 24C64 (maybe a 24C64WP, the C is the voltage level they speak on.)
This mod prevents the samsung from talking to the eeprom, other tricks is to remove the IC, read its contenst, modify it somehow (crc checks might be there) and put it back. or find a very new, fresh dump of this IC and write the contents of the new one to the one on a expired printer. but youll have to write all again, with this mod, just flip the switch and do it all again).
For other printers where this trick doesnt work, try make a dump of your eeprom and look at the contenst of the eeprom. (make 1000 backups) then alter with a hexeditor some counters (try also to see if they use some checksum). put the eeprom back and see if it works. worst case, find a printer thats very new and unused, use a copy of that printers eeprom and flash it to yours (match the model please).
I am gonna dump my eeprom first, and then reset it. so I can compare the contents after the reset as seen in this video,.

I could not prove it because not recognizing the toner does nothing.
I tried to install it again and an option of the installation program was to make a test print, it printed the color but not the black one.
That was the only thing I could print because all the time all the red LEDs are on and the smart panel tells me that all the toners are invalid and empty
Please repeat the all reset procedure. Very important, that release the reset switch (swith on) when the toners start moving. (when the printer start "click-clack")

Sooo, who to give credit to? its a eeprom, it holds the page count, you short the eeprom data line to ground, now the mcu cant read the data, does some diagnositics and you put the dataline back on the normal lines and allow the mcu to write default data, now it works as new... not that special.
Only the very first person who found this trick could be credited, but ive seen multiple people come up with the idea, the execution is difernetly and results are basicly the same. But yes, wonder who is the socalled first :P
Szia! Kipróbáltam, működik, de egy gond van, a toner chippeket nem nullázza ki nekem meg még vagy negyedig van a toner és a hülye chip miatt nem birok nyomtatni. Amúgy mindent kinulláz, a szériaszámot is kitörli az összes hibakóddal együtt, de a toner chippre nem tudsz valamit?Ebben a nyomtatóban ha jól láttam 3 tonerbe nincs is Chip. Az meg hogy?

Már régen csináltam, de azok az érintkezők, amik a toner kifelé néző oldalán vannak a gyárilag szállított tonerek esetén eleve egy műanyag lapkával helyettesítettek, és a fekete legalul szintén le lett fedve egy szigetelő szalaggal és nekem így sikerült. Nem tudom mit értesz "el sem indul" alatt, de ha ez a reset procedúra megtörtént már kaphatnak érintkezést a tonerek.

Ennyire jutok vele, ha a tonereket leragasztom, bármelyik is hiányzik, el sem indul a folyamat, semmi nem mozdul meg, csak a tonerledek villognak felváltva, majd az állapotjelző pirosra vált, és ennyi. Szerinted ezek gyári chippek lehetnek? Alig nyomtattam vele 80% ban csak szövegnyomtatásra használtam és még 2 csomag printerlapot se bírt...
A legszebb az egészben, hogy a tonerek több mint félig vannak porral, az elhasznált porgyüjtőben is csak kb fél gyufásdoboznyi "szemét" volt.

Use EDC.exe tool from Samsung - it's much easier to reset all counters - only software - working for CLP-310
