I agree with him. This is the best time to be alive. People complaining about the old days or yearning to live in the past are foolish. Be here now. Everything except for the cruise thing. Cruises are some of the most fun I've ever had.
He's very depressed on one hand and on the other hand can see "the bright side" and silver linings and all that in life. He's found a way to have joy in the darkness that is life. I'm projecting here to be honest because this is how I sound on a daily basis and that's what's going on with me, lol. Have a great day!
I have a friend who told me his g/f uses scissors ✂️ to get out the rest of it: GENIUS! Not that hard to cut; it turns out. He told me not to tell her he told me that, so I told her I use scissors ✂️ to finish off my last tube of toothpaste and she said ‘I do too!’ So now she thinks I know her cheap ‘secret’ cos I got her to tell me herself and she won’t be embarrassed cos I relate to her 😂 and I won’t accidentally blurt it out later that he told me first!
I saw a video on here the other day, I forget who, but it was hilarious. And there’s nothing to make you realize how messed up life is right now than realizing you have forgotten how to laugh and breathe at the same time. I was completely seized up, I could not breathe. The video was so funny, I was drowning in air. I used to joke that I am the person who could forget how to ride a bike, I guess I can add breathing to that list.
he resorts to disingenuous condescension just a little too often in this one. The jokes were great, he is definitely a polished and talented comedian, and I know he is his own guy speaking his own truth. I don't want him to change. Just saying that there are only so many times you can return to the same bone; one minute he's saying "you're doing great!" and the next he's pretentiously making the laughers the butt of the joke. It makes people nervous and a little less ready to laugh next time. But he keeps coming back to that same formula right up to the end, where it felt like people were laughing harder because they wanted to be in on the joke, not the butt of it. But he made it pretty clear how he felt about that.
Ok but gandhi was really rich. He wore that way to know the poor people more and help them with his money. He was a lawer from a very prestigious family. So he didn't look like that cause he had a shit job. He looked like that to know the hardships of poor people living under colonialism.
@thatguy 00 I know but ganhi is not a good example for it. As someone who knows the history the joke dose not work on me and reinforced the notion that Americans laughed at that joke because the dont know anything about other countries important figures. So the comedian should have showed a good example that is true to make the joke work. Not plaster some famous person as a punchline when the famous person cannot be a punchline from the sequence of the setup. I know its comedy. I like his comedy. But this sort of inconsistencies detract me from laughing. So I decided to voice my opinion cause the punchline doesn't work.
@thatguy 00 he's right. If you know the topic a comedian is talking about, you rarely laugh and feel weird for the audience laughing their asses off, it's just true.
I think he was being sympathetic to the poor villagers. He was harder on Detroit imo. Some subjects are automatically touchy just by saying ANYTHING about them...
This isn't a comedy set, it's a Ted Talk. ❤
Thank you Tom. feeling a bit blue this morning then i turned to you to remind me, Everything is all right.
Tom Papa is one of the BEST! Makes my day.
Love me some Tom Papa, I really dig his delivery. It's charming and yet insulting at the same time. Which tickles me.

I agree with him. This is the best time to be alive. People complaining about the old days or yearning to live in the past are foolish. Be here now. Everything except for the cruise thing. Cruises are some of the most fun I've ever had.

You're doing great.
I don’t know if he’s being sarcastic or just being positive, pointing out the bright side of life.
He's very depressed on one hand and on the other hand can see "the bright side" and silver linings and all that in life. He's found a way to have joy in the darkness that is life.

@@mkmbstudio6950 thanks for your affirmation. I thought I was being preachy with what I was saying. I am glad someone also feels that way about jokes.
@@ameetfaisal8723 Doesn't work for you,
I thought it was funny. Humor is subjective.
Papa don't preach.
Love Tom Papa, absolutely HATE the comment about the poor villages 👎🏾👎🏾.... that’s in very poor taste!
I think he was being sympathetic to the poor villagers. He was harder on Detroit imo. Some subjects are automatically touchy just by saying ANYTHING about them...
I don't see what or how anyone can find this entertaining or funny. It isn't. Another jre person I gave a chance that isn't remotely funny.
This guy is not funny. What an amazing, new insight: we are fat.
