i love chrome it is my main browser, but just lately when i launch it, my windows 7 computer keeps crashing/restarting by itself, today when i launched chrome, i only had 8 tabs open, but my computer crashed and i got the bsod. (blue screen of death). so as i'm not tech savvy, i really don't know what else to do, i'm using microsoft edge right now and my computer is working again no problems.
its whenever i charge my laptop, google crashes and i dont know how to fix it. whenever i charge my laptop some command prompt shows ups for a couple of seconds and goes off.
There is one website that causes my chrome to crash. Only one website, one that I need to use for work. I'm switching to a different browser to see if the website won't crash that browser. Do you have any idea why only one website would cause chrome to crash?
Wondering if it would have been easy to put somewhere that this advice is mainly for PC users only.... since I watched it all waiting for the tips to help me with my snagging Apple Mac..... would perhaps have been nice to know beforehand! - I resisted using the 'dislike' button, felt that would have been too harsh!

I've been sitting here for a few minutes waiting for it to finally let me go on its properties, but some time later, my desktop screen turned partially white ( probably meaning my desktop isn't responding. ) I turned it off, did it again, and yet the same outcome. Is it my memory?

I opened Chrome and typed (without the parentheses) "chrome://flags/" - I went there and had to search for "Calculate window occlusion on Windows". Once I found it, I disabled it and was told to relaunch Chrome and the problem freezing was stopped dead in it's tracks

Finally, I found a solution online that helped me to fix the problem. It is not a Windows OS issue. "Window" refers to open windows on your browser. It is an issue with Chrome. In fact, the way it was explained to me is that it is not really an issue at all. Window occlusion calculation on Chrome will suspend or freeze inactive tabs in order to save system resources. So, it is SUPPOSED to be for your benefit, but for me it was just giving me headaches. The solution above fixed the freezing immediately. If you are having this problem and have tried everything else, it might be worth a try. I can't see it causing any problems with your browser, but it's possible it could bump up your CPU usage especially if you are the type to have many tabs open at once. However, it didn't affect my computer in any negative way. However, just in case, remember exactly what you do, so that you can reverse it if it does cause a problem, but I really don't see that happening
How am I supposed to go into the settings or disable some extensions when I cant even open a site???? I honestly think that you have never experienced this yourself because you would know that you cant do any of these.

Sorry to hear you're struggling to keep up. Please feel free to change the speed of the video, pause in sections when you like and switch on subtitles to enhance your experience.

Freeze once open I can't do nothing
i cant turn off extinsons off beacuse i cant touch google chrome without it crashing and having to close the program

My pc freezes when using chrome when i just opened it and it's even a fresh install. I got 16gb of ram. I got no problem with firefox.

I can't get to the extension tab. Since Chrome keeps crashing! WTF. I think adblock is crashing the browser and I can't disable it.

My Chrome closes itself daily at the same time. 20:37 pm. Weird as fuck this problem. I will try this to solve it tomorrow
