I remembered these background detail could be found in the art book. The background of series is set in an alternative history. 1. During the Second world war, Germany successfully built atomic bomb and ballistic missile V-9, successfully defeated the British Army and received all of British armed force and its colonies. Nazi Germany only existed until 1942. Hitler was bombed by Stauffenberg, Nazi party were wiped out by Wehrmacht and German reestablished the republic (The second Weimar Republic). The U.S didn't participated the war because of its isolationism but noticed the situation in Europe and the technology progress of German, they will build their own nuclear weaponry shortly after the end of the war. Germany and Soviet Union signed peace treaty after Battle of Stalingrad in 1943. Because the battle in eastern front came into stalemate and Germany already have all of British territory so they gave up the invasion of Soviet Union, hence the second world war ended. After the war, Germany established the European Union while the U.S allied with Soviet Union. The cold war between both side started. 2. During the war, Japan didn't invade China nor bomb Pearl Harbor but focus on South East Asia and occupied British colonies. At this time, China successfully established federal government, rebuilt the war-torn country and remain peace with neighbor country. In 1950, Germany asked Japan to back out South East Asia and returned the former British colonies but Japan refused, so the war between two nation started. At first, Germany has advantage of better technology over Japan but Japan has much larger and powerful naval fleet and shorter supply line compare to Germany. However, with assistance from China, German bombers were able to take off from China and bombard Japan continuously. The war ended after atomic bomb dropped. 3. After a series of anti government movements. Japanese Government found out that the police do not have equal fire power and ability to counter more and more dangerous terrorist group but they also don't want to call Self-defense force to repress because of cost and danger of ignited civil war. They need a unit that have firepower of military but can maintain order and peace like police. So the Special Armed Garrison-Kerberos were established. The police is not very happy about this and often have conflict with Kerberos. Due to the tension from inside and outside, some of leaders of Kerberos established Jin-Roh, a counter intelligence unit that can protect the Kerberos and counter those want to remove it, for example: Japanese police. After a series of incidents, some of members of Jin-Roh flee the country to Taiwan to seek a chance of rebuild their organization. 4. The armour used by Japanese heavy police- Kerberos Panzer Korps were equipment retired from German military. First developed in 1934, the wearer is fully sealed and covered by special alloy. These armour can maintain agility of wearer while provide decent protection for the wearer. (However, it can only protect wearer from pistol bullet and shrapnel, a volley fire from DP-28 or M1919 can still shred these armor into piece.) During the Battle of Stalingrad, 101st Panzer Jäger Battalion of Wehrmacht were deployed with these armour along with MG34s. The Japanese Self-defense force have more advanced armour called Type 61, they were used during the fighting with Kerberos. 5. The terrorist group was referred Japanese red army in real world. They were the group who fought against the government and capitalism in order to built communist Japan. They are often heavily armed, even have anti tank weapons such as LAW and machine guns.
The world building and consistency is impressive in this series. I could point out several things that would render Germany unable to succeed in doing the above things.
At first I thought it was just Wolfenstein but Anime, but this is actually an amazing plot, and actually could've happened. Finally, a good combat/war anime that doesn't revolve around tiny chicks with large breasts and somehow wield an M2 .50 with ease or have weird magic
It crazy how in this scene they painted so much emotion into a mask that is meant to be cold and empty looking like a robot, yet you can see the subtle look of shock and confusion when she pulls the pin.
Well, they're more like the good guys actually. I mean, the morality in Jin Roh is really ambiguous, with both the Fascist police and the protesters inflicting violence. Just like in real life, it presents morality as not necessarily being black and white, but being a complex interaction between people, which is part of the reason this movie is so great. The uniforms are also cool as shit.
+PartyPoTaTo Jakobsen because Bad Guys Design the armor of their troops to inflict as much fear in Their Enemy, since that makes them weak. A feared Army Needs only to Point at their enemys with their guns to make them surrender. Because lets be real Here....i dont think any of us Would Even DARE to resist when one of those Guys walks up to you
Blaze Mancer If you put a lot of time in to drawing you could possibly get good enough to animate in like 5 years, but it's hard to put all the time in with our every day busy lives.
Maxwell Zimmermann Right this movie isn't creepy, it is bad ass. Its just that growing up watching Akira Evangelion, and ghost in the shell, it seemed creepy to me and had a somber tone I liked that way and I still like it.
Yeah. Can you imagine the talent it takes to render like this without rotoscoping? Have no idea why Jin Roh isn't more known. The story and animation are tops. Most underrated anime movie I know of.
+MetalSlugzMaster My only, ONLY fault I have with it, is that I find the movie's allegory is sorta in your face and could have been more subtle. Otherwise, I strongly urge anybody else to either buy the movie on Amazon or watch it on Crunchyroll for free. UA-cam streaming doesn't do it justice. You gotta kick back with your drink of choice, some popcorn, and maybe some pocky sticks if you wanna get hardcore weeb in this bitch. And my soapbox speech is that not all anime needs cute girls with gourd-sized titties jumping up and down to sell. You just need some good-as-fuck animation and a good story.
+Mad Cat 74 Its unfortunate the average anime doesn't look anywhere near this good. I always try to get into anime but I never can due to the modern animation style (also boring plot, art style and boringly sexualized characters) I don't think I've ever seen animation this amazing. The fluidity, detail etc is unparalleled apart from maybe GITS 2 but thats partly CGI so this one still wins IMO.
"Don't! ...Why?" Instead of outright shooting her, he tries to inquire to the child terrorist on a personal level. I think if the other soldiers hadn't come along maybe she wouldn't have ripped the cord. Something about the 1st soldier showed the girl there's a human underneath the mask. Being surrounded and put in the spotlight, men ordering him to shoot her took away her only perceivable alternative to death. You can tell she didn't want to die. Her eyes looking at Fuse said it all. And that's why this scene is so deep and tragic. Any frightened individual would likely have done the same thing.
Joe A. I think you're right. As soon as the other soldiers showed up, she felt cornered and trapped, and as a result felt her life was forefit at that moment. The fact he even asked why was powerful, showing that there was indeed compassion underneath the mask. At the same time, I was like "Damn! I didn't even hear him show up!"
***** From what I heard, MG3s are usually modified MG42s to be more effective and versatile. Regardless, they're still scary ass machine guns in their own right.
i love the design of the armor, imagine going to war and you seeing a bunch of emotionless, red eyed, gas mask wearing dudes, i'd piss my pants. I think they should implement a design like this just for the intimidation factor.
Uhh... you know that US military issues helmets that show the faces of soldiers precisely so that they don't look like this? Because this looks too sinister and induces nothing but fear, which leads to demonization of your own forces. But it's not the opposition fighters who demonize you (that does not really matter, they are already shooting at you), but the civilians. And alienating the civilians (more than necessary) is a dumb strategy. Even when invading another country, you generally don't want the civilians to see you as a faceless evil, because it only encourages opposition and disgust. A soldier with a human face is much harder to hate (and plan to kill) than a faceless stormtrooper. Yes, this might look badass as shit, but the intimidation factor is pretty insignificant. Soldiers are already scary enough because they have guns. This only makes them easier to hate and conspire against by actors who might be discouraged from acting against them otherwise.
+Vilkku Excellent writing, you portray precisely what Armies have tried to accomplish and avoid in the past, for example the Ancient Greek soldiers wore helmets designed in the shape of an angry face, like feudal Japanese samurai, to inspire fear. It's an effective tactic that can be used against the enemy but a tactic that adversely affects the populace, a bad drawback for a military built upon the "hearts and minds".
The helmets with a fearsome design probably worked better back in the times when combat almost always boiled down to a melee fight at one point or the other.
Fuse is calm, like a professional soldier, and it seems that the fact of being a child made him not to shoot, but instead save her. He tries to save her trying to talk to her, but when she feels cornered and pulls the pin, the reaction in the mask is of a man that opened his eyes and freezes in terror. He was lucky because the comrade saved him, and of course, all that body armour ... But he frozed, despite all the training ...
What I feel is that his comrades are like “oh,he’s gonna arrest her? That’s fine as long as we can question her” until she pulled the pin, that’s what I think they were about to do until a girl pulled the pin and everyone panicked and saved fuse…
+TheDarkfrostElf Those belts are feeding into their backpacks which have a considerable payload in them. This films worth watching, it was really well made for it's time.
+Conrad Brandt On a second viewing, I can see the belt shrinking, so you're probably right. In that case, I wouldn't call it a far stretch to imagine they were using controlled fire in sequence to keep that sustain. Also, it just looks cool, right?
+The Uncanny One You would think it'd be common sense that the Wolf Brigade came before those other two concepts. This anime has the 90's written all over it.
+The Uncanny One Well with Wolfenstein I think it could be a case of art imitating life, imitating art, imitating other art. Since the Jin-Roh have some nazi-era uniform design influence already on display. and why not? The Nazi's were a twisted, evil society, but they had some really stunning uniform designs and iconography. It only makes sense that imagery continues to be found and reused.
The Uncanny One I know, I think you pretty much explained that. But if something looks like something, it works the other way around. Therefore I don't think that it's really a valid complaint. Le dorito face.
I think you mean those communists are idiots for trying to stand against the walking panzers of the Wolf Brigade. It would look awesome if they had Sowulo Runes or Sun Wheels or Imperial Eagles painted on the sides of their helmets and chest pieces.
I LOVE how Imposing those soldiers are. The dull color palette for their bodies and the surrounding environment compared to the somehow out of place bright eyes is just amazing.
5:49 You can see the struggle in her eyes. How she was so scared but was compelled to take that final step anyway. That was no word, for words were not needed, only silence. In that instant you saw what went behind the widened-eyes of every suicide bombers - a terrified fellow human being - before the connection ended in a flash and a bang. Rarely has one scene convey so much in animation history. By the end of the show, Fuse finally became a wolf - and lost his humanity forever.
I've always found this to be the most beautifully animated film ever made. Not to discount every other facet in which it excels. Probably my favorite anime of all time.
This movie is known as the last Japanese animated movie that has been fully drawn by hand, at the insistence of director Okiura. Too bad Okiura has directed so few movies, he has been a main animator on many mythical ones, including Akira, the 1st Patlabor movie, the Magnetic Rose segment of Memories, Blood: The Last Vampire, Metropolis, the movie of Cowboy Bebop, Paprika, and the third Evangelion rebuild movie Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.
boaz appelbaum Race does not matter usually unless the story is about race... In this case it's about a tyrannical force and the opressed. Only people with clouded minds let colour get into the way of a good story.
"Drop your weapons and give yourselves up'" Dudes get surrounded and proceed to shoot at guys with bulletproof armor and buzzsaws and get mowed down. Nah I'd just give up
Hayden Smith you find out in the next scene the soldiers were ordered to kill everyone in the sewer. So even if they had put their weapons down the result would have been the same
Such a deep moment. This scene gains even more strength after seeing the whole movie. Such a struggle between what you are asked to do, what you want to do, and what you should do.
Bat Man Taking off the mask would prove dangerous to the soldiers. Who knows what kind of detonation that satchel charge had? If it was a form of chemical weapon, then the mask would no longer be useful in acting as a respirator due to being removed. Also, if she had still detonated it, then his face is severely exposed to the blast and whatever shrapnel is being thrown about. It was very logical to keep all the armor on, but to try and persuade her.
Forest Gank I think it's a bit unfair to compare other anime films to this in regards to plot because it's an Oshii film. Oshii is a very acquired taste and most people don't like his dialog heavy debates on philosophy and metaphysics. The Ghost in the Shell franchise is a good example, so is his recent film Sky Crawlers. Personally I love his work, but I think the majority of anime viewers do not.
WittyDroog I'm a fan too. Oshii is my favourite anime creator, he is unique, the best example is Angel's Egg, who else would think in something like that? that film was made like dreaming awake. But besides that, I think that atm is pointless to think that soon we'll see a great work like f.e. Macross Plus, Wings of Honeamise, Lain, Bebop, Mononoke, Tokyo Godfathers, Berserk (yeah, Berserk, the poor animation quality can be shaded by a good storytelling)...I mean, that sense of anime as a way of art is kinda lost.
This came out the same year as Digimon, Excel Saga, Angel Links, the second Pokemon film and Ojamajo Doremi. I don't think one Movie can make up for all that regardless of how good it is.
Actually Old ones are good. always. but some....a lot of new Animes are awesome too. Watched all 3 Seasons of Shakugan no Shana. Hell that was an awesome anime.
+AFH_Jannik well to be fair all of those Armors have been inspired by the Suits worn by SS Sturmtruppen in WWII. All they Needed to do is make it a bit more modern and give them the masks and the red eyes.
Wow. Haven't seen The Wolf Brigade in a looooong time. I even keep recommending it to others, but I've yet to buy it and re-watch it again myself. After seeing so many other anime, you forget what the REALLY good ones actually look like.
I like the way they introduce the soldiers or cops. They look like mindless killing machines at first, then Fuse speaks. But what really made me see them as humans was when Fuse was pushed down by the other soldier.
Back in time when there was a lot of shitty anime but barely any made it over to the west compared to now. That and selective memory only makes you remember the good shit.
An entire unit of soldiers marching through sewers while wearing ~50kg of armor, backpacks and heavy MGs, manages to catch up with half a dozen men running for their lives with nothing but a box of explosives and a some guns? Makes sense.
+H4mmerfall This isn't power armor? Totally bogus then. I'd give them half a dozen strides before they fell flat on their ass in a sewer with all that garbage.
He rejects the image of brutality that has been placed upon him. Fuse is human and in that moment, he does the most human thing he can. He tries to understand. Fuse's greateat sin was pretending he was a wolf. May we also be able to shed the personalities that have been attributed to us by others and be who we are.
Well anime became a popular franchise so it's not surprising they'd drop the whole "art" concept and moved on to more practical aspects as long as it rakes in money and profit. If all anime solely kept to the art concept then it means anime has never Truly grown from being a small business unlike it has now
That in between face she makes right before she pulled it is so sickening. She clearly doesn’t want to die, he clearly doesn’t want to shoot her, but the rest of his squadron is there so whatever choice they both want is useless. She was going to die.
+Wizard 03 This film was on show in 1999 earlier than Kill Zone, not to mention it was the last series of comics and films Kerberos Panzer Cop written by Mamoru Oshii.
+VEC I know, 'The man with the red spectacles', which was the first movie, came out in 1987, 'Stray Dogs' came out in 1991, and like you said, 'Jin Roh' came out in 1999. I was saying that the creators of 'Kill Zone' based their Helghast uniforms off of Mamarou's Kerberos cops.
+Chen Kevin the problem with the MG42 that it cannot sustain that type of fire for very long. Its barrel does need to be changed out, Though the MG42 is effective for the ease of the exchange of barrels, the barrel itself can't sustain that fire unless its under burst control
shadowywarrior I believe that Rheinmetall is actually developing a sort of minigun looking MG3 system to resolve that problem (for vehicles, at least). It's not technically a minigun, but apparently the system is meant to automatically change the barrels, and with 2 in reserve of the 1 shooting, it seems they'll be able to sling lead pretty damn fast.
I genuinely can't get over the difference between the protestors' guns and the Wolf Brigade's, and how they clearly define and represent the groups themselves. The protestors' have distinct, clearly audible spaces between their shots - you can comprehend every round, but it's slower and weaker, no match in a fight against their military counterparts, just like the group itself. Whereas the MG-42, well... It's a just a deep, bassy rumble - an incomprehensibly overkill assault that crushes anything beneath it, which is exactly what the Wolf Brigade was designed to be and do. This movie, man.
You know, guys, maybe if your armor didn't make you look like commandos straight from the depths of hell - people wouldn't go mental at the sight of you.
Just watched the real life version on Netflix, this movie is so complex with how everyone interacts with each other and the problems going on, you can’t figure out who the bad guy is until like halfway through the movie, I was expecting some cringe movie with bad cgi but in all honesty I got probably one of the best movies I’ll ever watch.
Honestly after watching the movie and reading the lore behind this. These guys seem more like the best option to go with. Yes the tactics are harsh and brutal but they are just trying to keep a bad situation from getting worse. And the fact that they didn't immediately open fire on those guys but gave them a chance to surrender shows that. That and the lone soldiers hesitation to kill the girl shows that these men are still human and not just governmentdogs out for blood. It was just a bad situation all around.
@@killa1711 True but the fact is they didn't obey that order. They tried to take them alive now granted we don't know what would have happened afterwards but at the moment these guys tried to give them a chance to peacefully give themselves up.
It's important to note that this particular movie is directly derived from an entire saga known as the Kerberos Saga. And if you read the Killzone wiki about the Helghan Empire itself, it is explicitly said in the trivia section that the armor the Helghasts wear are based from the Kerberos Protect Gear, although it's still unclear whether the devs have permission to use them or not. Just want to get things clear for some people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerberos_saga killzone.wikia.com/wiki/Helghan_Empire
they are japanese policemen trained by german colonizers to become panzer cops, thats the reason why they look like SS with gas masks and using mg42's, its an alternate story putting germany as the ww2 victors.
I remembered these background detail could be found in the art book.

i'd drop a few pounds of shit too
Me too mg42 on fury very scared
Me too. I'd drop my guns and immediately want to join them
well, not powered. just an armor.
It’s either die fighting or die in a camp. I’d rather go down in a blaze of glory
I like how the MG42's continue to fire despite having a short belt of ammo
boss it's all that German engineering it's too complicated
+TheDarkfrostElf
Those belts are feeding into their backpacks which have a considerable payload in them.
This films worth watching, it was really well made for it's time.
+Bad WOLF LMAO
+PrezThompkins I'm almost certain the film (and others) stated the packs hold extra belts, not one long belt.
+Conrad Brandt
On a second viewing, I can see the belt shrinking, so you're probably right.
In that case, I wouldn't call it a far stretch to imagine they were using controlled fire in sequence to keep that sustain.
Also, it just looks cool, right?
I want that armor BADLY
Robert Roebuck, NCR ranger wow thats a long werid name and yes i want it!
phil bettinger ok
Cool
I can tell
Yeah in your dreams, Hans
Both the Helghast and the Wolfenstein nazis were based of these so guys please stop commenting "hurr ddurr these look like Helghast"
+The Uncanny One but they look like them and vice versa. So I don't think that's really a valid complaint.
+Neko Haxor This predates the Helghast and Wolfenstein nazis. Your comment doesn't even make sense did you mean to reply to me or someone else?
+The Uncanny One
You would think it'd be common sense that the Wolf Brigade came before those other two concepts.
Easily the most immersive anime film ever made. Animation is unrivaled!
+Мико «Vangate» Лещенко good film yes, I wouldn't say the animation is '''unrivaled"
Kye Give an example of a better quality product?
Btooom, Redline, SAO, heaps more too, this inst the best animated thing it has very good animation though.
So, you're saying the referenced animes are of better grade?
No not at all, just there animation is better.
That soldier at the end tho.. just the soft “Don’t. Please.” Sounded so genuine
He says "Why?" Instead of "Please" but yeah, it's an extremely powerful scene.
Can we just talk about how amazing the animation quality of Jin-Roh is?
1999 and 2020
Damn, the next Killzone looks pretty neat.
Hail hellgaust
+ChazWTFLOL funny cause the Helghast got inspired by these designs
You do realize that this came out in the year 1990 or 1980, decades before Killzone was even considered an invention or game
Mike reyes It was a joke.
If anything killzone ripped the design from this.
This was on my recommendations. I expected it to be something else...but this. Just wow man
Metalguy40
Those Powder Gangers are idiots to take on NCR Veteran Rangers.
Elective Toast you mean helghast.
Elective Toast more like enclave
killa1711 yea lol.we are meant to be feared
I think you mean those communists are idiots for trying to stand against the walking panzers of the Wolf Brigade. It would look awesome if they had Sowulo Runes or Sun Wheels or Imperial Eagles painted on the sides of their helmets and chest pieces.
Devin Mays You Don't know what a joke is ya wehraboo?
Badass MG42 Gunner is badass
Which one?
TheDarkfrostElf all of them
+Matalino Siraj Good answer.
for once that youtube recomended me something i never heard of and actually want to watch
I LOVE how Imposing those soldiers are. The dull color palette for their bodies and the surrounding environment compared to the somehow out of place bright eyes is just amazing.
I just love the transition from the furious sub-machine guns to the mighty roar of the MG42's
The art style is quite amazing.. Im going to get this as soon as I can
I've always found this to be the most beautifully animated film ever made. Not to discount every other facet in which it excels. Probably my favorite anime of all time.
Tbh there's too many beautifully animated movies to just limit it to one.
Just preference, really.
5:05 - 6:07 my favorite moment form the movie. Such a powerful moment.
Saekka う
The live remake was even better on netflix
@@Almighty_jones For some reason I don't believe you.
@@graysaltine6035 it's shit actually.
Almighty_ Jones yup totally this looks like crap compared to the live remake you can also feel more emotion coming from the girl.
I had to go back. 5:50 it's amazing how you can feel his emotions even with his helmet on. Truly amazing.
Thats some quality fucking animation for its time.
What do you mean "for it's time"?
Animation is shit now not back then.
So Evangelion 3.33 was made under his hands. No wonders it looked so fucking good compared to 1.11/2.22
DeathtoRaiden1 dude really,,, each frame was .hand drawn,,,
panzerfaust one hand like a boss
Terminator approves
This is what I like to see the character's look exactly like the Japanese people.
As long as we recognise the archetypical story a character endures race dont matter. I agree with you totally
Its not like he's in Asian deep shit right now lol hes just in deep shit because some people are out to get him
boaz appelbaum Race does not matter usually unless the story is about race... In this case it's about a tyrannical force and the opressed.
Only people with clouded minds let colour get into the way of a good story.
boaz appelbaum Then tell me why should i be bothered with these characters looking Asian lmao.
boaz appelbaum Race matters in other aspects of life but why here.
One word, perfectionism. This camera shots is pure pleasure for me.
This is the first time I've heard of this. Fantastic dub and fantastic animation, idk what the story is but I'm definitely checking it out
+Carlos Calderon same man
"Drop your weapons and give yourselves up'"
Dudes get surrounded and proceed to shoot at guys with bulletproof armor and buzzsaws and get mowed down.
Tip, if you want to take a prisoner and not see them blow themselves up... don't dress like a futuristic SS officer with glowing red eyes.
Good advice. 5:08 is probably one of the most subtly terrifying "jump scare" shots in anime ever.
V Guyver nah bro, make them drop their guns, *silly juden*
they're suppose to look like SS officers because they are called Panzer Cops. and was created by Germany supposedly taking over Japanese Government.
Mazryonh I fucking love the red circles peering out of the darkness. Such a great moment.
5:28 that is the best “why?” In film history. The delivery is top notch, like he’s saying:
‘We’re the good guys… aren’t we?’
They sure don't animate films like they used to.
They also don't give em serious plots and good histories. The anime industry became a whore, it doesn't take itself seriously.
WittyDroog
I'm a fan too.
Is this the new Wolfenstein gameplay
Templar Green naw it's killzone
Looks like a bit of both tbh
The Emperor of Mankind cuts to you shooting nazis in the sewers of wolfenstein 2
Hive Mind
Nazi campaign DLC when?
Hive Mind I guess so 👌
Jesus Christ every one of those soldiers is equipped with an mg 42? That’s insane
i feel like killzone copycat the shit out of the suits
boubacar keita to be fair they are badass as fuck
true cant argue with that now that i look at it at least they didn't went as far a Nazi flag and shit
Killzone took a lot of inspiration from this movie.
+AFH_Jannik well to be fair all of those Armors have been inspired by the Suits worn by SS Sturmtruppen in WWII. All they Needed to do is make it a bit more modern and give them the masks and the red eyes.
well this movie created in 1999 the game created in 2004 i think they copy some details in this movie
GOD... DAMN it, the lighting! It's so beautiful.
3:23 xD The dudes in the brigade "..well, if you insist"
Lol! This movie is incredible
Man... At the beginning of this I thought Fuse was the kid. I really need to watch this.
When the IRS find out you've been dodging taxes.
Wow. Haven't seen The Wolf Brigade in a looooong time. I even keep recommending it to others, but I've yet to buy it and re-watch it again myself.
After seeing so many other anime, you forget what the REALLY good ones actually look like.
If he had more time to show his humanity underneath the mask, the girl wouldn't have pulled the cord. Tragic scene, great movie, amazing animation
I like the way they introduce the soldiers or cops. They look like mindless killing machines at first, then Fuse speaks. But what really made me see them as humans was when Fuse was pushed down by the other soldier.
back in time when anime wasn't shit
so true
SATSUGAI
Back in time when there wasn't enough anime for there to be any shit.
Back in time when there was a lot of shitty anime but barely any made it over to the west compared to now. That and selective memory only makes you remember the good shit.
Those name tag initials are the only human thing about that armor.
3:45 the detail is insane
Those Mg42s are running at 1500 RPM absolutely devastating to anything downrange
Since when did the Helghast invade Japan?
JTelli786 I was wondering something similar I thought this was Killzone.
The German war helmet is simply one of the best helmet designs of all time. It is logical to copy it.
Spencer Lemay Stahlhelm
they do have extremely alike together but different is there suit is like a nazi eletric soldier and its grey
This is an Alternate 1950's Japan, wherein Germany, for unknown reasons, took control of Japan. I don't know how and why it happened, though.
This brigade would do good against the refugee crisis.
+Kogel1986 so edgy
😎
I can laugh at this😌
Fuck yea
+aluisious So edgy, so true.
That has to be the most badass uniform I've ever seen on a soldier
After watching this movie for the first time Tonight 11-19-2017, This movie hurt me. I'll be back in a few years.
I'd give them half a dozen strides before they fell flat on their ass in a sewer with all that garbage.
aluisious Pretty much
+Jonathan Camaya
Hover boards
This gives the word REKT a whole new meaning.
The golden age of Japanese anime.
This is what happens when you piss off the Death Korp of Krieg.
They do don't they haha. But I prefer the Iron Guard.
+Jacky Chan (SS-Sturmbannfuhrer) what happens when you piss off god
Emperor Gameling fuck that.......FOR SLAANESH
they wouldn't have told them to lay down their arms
"Why?" I just watched the movie recently, and for some reason that part just stuck out to me
He rejects the image of brutality that has been placed upon him. Fuse is human and in that moment, he does the most human thing he can. He tries to understand.
Fuse's greateat sin was pretending he was a wolf.
May we also be able to shed the personalities that have been attributed to us by others and be who we are.
"Terrorists win. MVP: Ivan for planting the bomb"
The animation is breathtaking.
5:44 The perfect epidome between the face of a human and the face of a cold plated face of the dehumanized goverment.
☑️
@@The-wo2lq ok I'm going to say this with the greatest shame while laughing, knees weak, but WTF was that abomination of a sentence 😂
The animation is just stunning
Great back when anime was a work of art not some ecchi fan service bullshit, to me anime to day is a product not art some are but most of them arent
I agree, i have a hard time enjoying anime thats being made now, i mostly just rewatch stuff i saw when i was a kid.
Well anime became a popular franchise so it's not surprising they'd drop the whole "art" concept and moved on to more practical aspects as long as it rakes in money and profit. If all anime solely kept to the art concept then it means anime has never Truly grown from being a small business unlike it has now
Except, there has been ecchi fan service since the 60s/70s. There was even some when this movie was released. But hey, gotta cherrypick amirite?
That in between face she makes right before she pulled it is so sickening. She clearly doesn’t want to die, he clearly doesn’t want to shoot her, but the rest of his squadron is there so whatever choice they both want is useless. She was going to die.
for a moment hunk came to my mind
Yeah
Bullets draped beautifully over the forearm.
reminds me of the Helghast.
Kaga Kancolle I think that they based the Helghast off of this design.
+Soviet Lover ikr
+Wizard 03 This film was on show in 1999 earlier than Kill Zone, not to mention it was the last series of comics and films Kerberos Panzer Cop written by Mamoru Oshii.
+VEC I know, 'The man with the red spectacles', which was the first movie, came out in 1987, 'Stray Dogs' came out in 1991, and like you said, 'Jin Roh' came out in 1999. I was saying that the creators of 'Kill Zone' based their Helghast uniforms off of Mamarou's Kerberos cops.
+Cheeki Breeki The garbage dumb reminded of of the garbage in the zone.
3:00 so this is where Fallout New Vegas combat armor comes from
You associate those glowing red eyes with terror
But things aren't always as they seem
The MG42's fire rate is incredible, 1/3 of the minigun or the M134's fire rate though
+Chen Kevin Yeah the MG42's rate of fire was reported to be between 900-1500 round per minute.
+Adam Lawrence MG3 today shoots at 1,200 rpm I believe.
Its perfect to saw you in half unlike the SAW
5:06 - This is my favourite moment in this whole sequence--the music and visuals work together perfectly.
The Helghast?
i was thinking about killzone too ahaahha
Yeah thought so too but did some hw and this one was 1999, Kill Zone came out 2004
ya sure. a new game using a style of German armor that has been in anime books and movies from the late 40s. good job!!!
Assassino275 they look alike whatya think?
killzone is the rip off from this anime
It's the motherfucking Combine!
Only one word: "MG42".
This anime is timeless...
You know, guys, maybe if your armor didn't make you look like commandos straight from the depths of hell - people wouldn't go mental at the sight of you.
That look of shock on her face when she pulls the trigger cord out sticks with me.
Krad Links yes they gave them a chance to surrender but you find out in the trial of the next scene they had orders to kill everyone in the sewers
@@killa1711
True but the fact is they didn't obey that order. They tried to take them alive now granted we don't know what would have happened afterwards but at the moment these guys tried to give them a chance to peacefully give themselves up.
One scene of something i've never heard of and I feel shaken.
Oh no, The Helghast have conquered Earth!!
Just want to get things clear for some people.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerberos_saga

now I know where the Kerberos Panzer armor mod came from

So much emotion what a beautiful piece of animation.
I love that they ANIMATED Trigger discipline. God that’s so awesome
That moment when two cops bodyslam into eachother is absolutely hilarious
When you forget your corona face mask....
Those masked soldiers look like german soldiers from Wolfestein: The New Order.
They re only just men with kevlar. You should fear men with exosuits like in the movie Elysium.
They useing Mg 42 they are german
they are japanese policemen trained by german colonizers to become panzer cops, thats the reason why they look like SS with gas masks and using mg42's, its an alternate story putting germany as the ww2 victors.
3:17 That's when the terrorists realized their guns were about as useless...as a screen door on a submarine
I've been looking for this movie for more than 10 years.
"I'm only human after all, don't put your blame on me."
