    In this video I will show you the LaserPecker Laser Compact Mini Engraver Machine. I bought this from Amazon UK for £250 and this is my first Laser engraver, I always wanted one but never had a reason to have one. Recently I have been messing around with my 3D printer and I realized that if I have a laser engraver which can do laser cut out template or even engrave plastic then potentially I can make custom cosplay armor and swords!

    😂 Perhaps the rare honest review of a laser engraver which includes even dark side of it like vaporizing fumes

      Thanks for watching , since then I had so many laser machine and progressively stronger laser. Fume just get out hand and all needed enclosure and extractor. Using this to engrave PVC is super dangerous as it make acid vapour 😅 . Once again thanks for watching 🎉

    If i want to engrave a house number into a slice of log, should i varnish it before or after engraving? I'm thinking so it can be outside.

    Could this cut through a playing card? At the moment I use a Silhouette Cameo but I end up having to pick the small pieces out. Thanks for posting.

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  3 роки тому +1

      I think it can but the card have to have some colour to it. The laser did not cut even thin A4 paper when it is white. Once it start cutting if not strong you can just run the cut again until it cut through I guess.

    • @BCreviews

      I will melt pvc but generally speaking burning pvc will generate very toxic gas which can be dangerous

      @@BCreviews I WILL HAVE TO WEAR A MASK. But wanna start engraving and making water proof cards. Whats a good setting for a playing cards size. To be perfect. How much width/height etc. If u know.

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  Рік тому +1

      It depends if it is a greyscale photo or just shape. I would say around 5-10 minutes for a playing card size engraving. If you read up on laser vs PVC and get the appropriate mask not just surgical or dust mask.

      It is not really ink so not really colour but a different shade of burn 🔥 . It is like toasting white bread and you can get all the different tones in between burn and white

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  3 роки тому +1

      Depends on how much material it burn away. Low power it will change colour of the top material, high power will burn and destroy some material leaving embossed feel

    • @jamielong1237
      @jamielong1237 3 роки тому

      @@jamielong1237 imagine all the dark part of the image is burn mark. The darkest part have material burn away and light part is intact etc. Light is raised and black is dented

    It’s one of the worst products I’ve ever purchased. It worked twice and then never worked again. Now it’s just an expensive paperweight. It can only controlled by Bluetooth and it’s internal Bluetooth receiver failed. It’s cheaply made.

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  2 роки тому

      Totally understand how you felt if the LP2 only work twice. I bought mine from Amazon and even tho I can source it cheaper by 10-20% I use Amazon because the return process is so good.
      I didn’t chop it up to see the internals but the design and built material definitely not cheap. Have you join the face book group? LP representative very active there and may be able to help?
