I bought two sets of the Walthers articulated auto racks recently. They didn't roll well at all. The trucks' side frames are very cheap. But, once I dug around in the friction point where the wheels sit with a phillips screw driver, it greatly improved the free-rolling of the cars. They come with metal wheels and metal couplers, look pretty good, and overall, I like them.
When I received the Walmart containers, I was looking them over, and they looked great. I did notice they are kind of transparent? The light above the workbench seemed to bleed through the paint. Worst case I pop the bottom off and spray some black paint inside, or I could probably just disregard it ND move on. 😂 The containers did fit nicely in the older walthers well cars, so that was a plus.
"The body is die cast metal" "Very heavy"! Yes, finally metal well cars! I never bought the plastic ones. Someones needs to make diecast HO Scale everything. Cheaper than brass and will stay on track better.
Nice looking cars containers.

Replace the wheels with Intermountain wheelsets, they will roll much better!

Man those Walthers articulated well cars are beautiful. Where did you purchase yours from because I can't seem to find them anywhere?
I preordered them through my hobby shop.
