The bon bons you are thinking of, are bite sized chocolate covered ice cream pieces. It's like an ice cream bar, but bite sized. I have had bon bons that they make in germany that they sell in bags. They are like starburst, rolled into balls, and dusted with powdered sugar type dust. I had them in high school many years ago, and really liked them.
