A tourist site in eastern China has built a playground in the sky by using a large net held aloft between two cliffs. Many became concerned about safety, as visitors would be running about on the suspended net 200 metres from the ground without any harnesses.

So it's not a playground then. It's a playsky or playair.
Still a ground since they're walking on it
Playnet?
PlayAir is something that only Apple can come up with.
Only 90kg per person? So no americans allowed?
Yes for security oops safety reasons 😀😀
just to spite the americans
90kg is like 200lbs
lol
@@VictVideoyea imma stay my over 200lbs on the ground 😭😭😂😂
“If it wasn’t safe, it wouldn’t be in operation” is something I’d expect a scam artist to tell me.
sounds like you are a scam artist
ocean gate lol
Longer version of "trust me im expert"
I think you are confused between safe and made in china
Famous last word
Where are your children? They are playing 200 m above ground on net.😂
This is like mocking and challenging the rule of thumb
Does that height look only 200m to you?
Another safety net 10-15 meters lower and extending out 10 meters would be an extra security from any possibilities.
That would spoil the view.
@@1bhaihaywhat a dumb answer. Their view already obstructed by the net they standing on. Not adding one will not make it any less clear. Especially if you want the view you can simple see horizontally or sourrounding not below.
No one go on this for the view. They do it for the thrill of excitement and getting a scare. Too many nets take away that feeling.
UV light might weaken the used materials in the long run ... I hope they accounted for this
Another layer of protection can be installed underneath
Of course they did
China has extensive experience with nets (see: Foxconn)
@@JoelBergmark nah ocean gate is the best example, they don't check after using it multiple time
@@truthboomyes a submersible is just as complex as this “playground net”
The question is why
Entertainment
Insert Ryan Reynolds “But why?”
The answer is why not?😂
For the view
Why not ?

Safety : Trust me bro
one layer gotchu
Guy says it is relaxing! lol My anxiety went up instantly.
Just 1 gust of wind, and it’s over.
Sunlight, rainwater acidity along with time are some of many factors that can cause accident, especially if they never replace that net along with the ties. If they use steel or wood to tie those nets, they need to make sure rust or anything bug-related don't wreck the poles that hold the nets together. Other than replacing the equipment annually, they also should engage architecture engineers to make sure the "bridge" is safe for crowds. If even glass bridge needs special engineering to ensure safety, I think this kind of nets need the same professional working on it too. Actually, even glass bridge needs several layers of safety net below the thick glass, so I don't know how safe this giant net is when they seem to only use double-layer net and call it a day. I really hope they use real engineers to design and work on that. Otherwise it's just accident waiting to happen.
Whatever technology you have! Safety is the priority, there still more land to reclaim to use or to construct more safe.
i feel nervous just looking at this..
It's ok. It's their choice, you decide your fate 😂
Unfortunately I wouldn't bet my life with things that are made in china
@@StickMan_Clara and yet you most likely use many of them in your every day life.
@@iNsAnEwBiE yup a lot and tons of them but nothing come close when it comes to the safety of my life. Yes even seatbelts too so made in china is not my cup of tea
I’d trust my made in china toilet brush and plastic cabinet. But a chinese plane or car? No way 😂
You actually do bet your life
As the worlds essential ingredients that go into the worlds pharmaceutical drugs comes from China
Without those ingredients you would go without Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer drugs and more etc etc etc
Witb that said I see no reason to put a playground up air like that . If only to attract the dare devils
They should make the net walls taller and bigger so that no on falls out
Amazing, these things are more stable than bridges made from Indian concrete.
Indians keep the feet and the mind on the ground ...not Flying in the air .
This is the indian wisdom , not like the show of the chinese people that they lost completely own common sense . In this last monts China soil is shaking from earthquakes ....think about !
Ccp bot😂
Lol well there is a reason that the term tofu dreg was coined in the first place trolol
hahahahahaha
Ii’s amazing that you believe that.
Awwwww bless.
Just double? Even bulletproof glass has many layers to account for bullets. Just imagine how much more heavy human bodies are.
Not same comparison but ok😂
Are you also going to compare the number of ropes used in bungee jumping with the number of layers in a bulletproof vest?
I'll rather listen to engineer instead
I think what they meant is a safety net is below to catch any children who fall. These nets are probably reliable, but I wouldn't bet my life on it honestly. There are also similiar nets around tall buildings sometimes.
heavy human? lol azns aren't heavy
Its a sky net
Why would any parents allow their only child play on the net. Unforgivable.
Kid: hey, Grim Reaper, want to join us for a game of football on this sky net?
GR: nah, can’t, sorry, I’m here for work
Just because we can doesn’t mean we should .
Said the Americans...
they do not wear a harness, but we all know of one other park where they wear them and jump in the air and the harness just unhooks from the rope.
Looks very risky
It takes courage and thats the reason for adults (like bungy jump/hiking the same rules applied "fear of falling")
Wonder how maintenance costs & procedures go, net check, screws check, cables check. Also, if they where to replace, would they take the "replaced entire facility" option or the "patch up" option...
You never know (but ofc they already planned it out).
I find it funny how you underestimate the vigour of Chinese engineering
@@montebelloqc nahh I'm just interested in the procedure, how it would maintenence itself, no ill-intent nor sarcasm
They did say it is double layered. So hopefully the top layer breaks, the second one won’t and able to hold. I just hope that both nets don’t get tied to the same supporting poles, which most likely it is. If that is the case, double net only save you if the top strings break, but not when the poles break.
Bungee jumping without a bungee... that can be dangerous 🤣
this is Thousand times safer than playing with guns and drugs in America
Murphy’s law.
They should made another one at the bottom to call it double protection
I want to try it
Just keep operation life to around 1-2 years (? Just a random guess) - to prevent fatigue and UV degredation on the material - otherwise the net might need to be replaced afterwards
Thry should try to get a 3rd party to verify / certify their design in this case
Idiocy at it's finest.
Those folks are crazier then a bowl of oatmeal
And you sound more boring than one
No backup net?
Safer than Boeing that's for sure.
Incredible things are happening in China
🤣🤣

You couldn't pay me enough to get on there
🤭🤭🤭
I think you have to pay to get on there LOL
What could possibly go wrong...
now change the title to japan and see how all the westerners will react.
I'm sorry but what did you mean by that exactly? I couldn't tell if you meant the west would be more likely for or against this, if it were japan..
@@codycooper5768Well many would support of their trust quality made in japan/korea. Since some people got cheap/expensive stuff but not very durable when it made in China (that became stigma).
Not believe it? Try post it on forums.
Tbh i am kind of afraid of heights and i think this park would be great place to get rid of that fear!
"enjoy the view"? no you can't. if you surrounded by net, than what you see? Nothing but sky.
Wait for a nice gust of wind and your double layer safety will work like a sail.
Who's turn to pick up the ball out of the court kids?

This is a bot it is not a human report it and then ignore it
How many times does USA_Love_BlackedRa have to post a comment
@@jacquelinemiller5823the BOT got glitched
Why does it need to be 200 meters above the ground? 5 meters is enough, as long as it’s afloat
After tofu buildings and their rollercoasters, I can imagine the concerns. 🤣

But.. why????
The way that things built, there's not a possibility on this planet that it will ever fall. Maybe if there's a meteor that hits the earth or earthquake right there. The thing is pretty much bulletproof
This sure bring some tourists visiting family to the area it looks incredible well done to the builder.
More incredible attractions well bring more visiting family. Well done looks great.
China is literally a living parody of LiveLeak accident videos
Even redbull wont make me walk in there! 😂

*I'M FEARLESS*
China and safety violations are such an iconic duo.
Terminator - We have our Skynet, China - Hold my beer
To train the next generation PLA Air Force recruits.
Putting all safety concerns aside, how is that even fun? Being charged money to walk on a sagging net sounds tedious.
Why?
Reminds me of the glass bridge in China that they said was safe then in 2021 the glass broke due to strong winds causing a tourist dangling on the side
World largest hammock
there's gonna be so many accidents because of this
No never keep trust on China's risk they have a capabilities to take risk and peoples also co-operate in it risk is a first step for success
@@nerrailwaygorakhpur7173
if something happens, no reporter will be allowed within 50 km radius
There was a glass bridge somewhere in the mountains in China which cracked and collapsed while tourists were on it. Miraculously nobody died.
Be more specific.

♥ Excellent story ♥♥♥ Thank you for covering this important event. Wagner's legacy in the world of music is enduring and profound.
Courage is something different, but this is a risking life for fun ..
Why in the heck do they have to be so different and risky, and use children. This ridiculous and unnecessary in my opinion
Risk is a first step to get success
Only if you are not risk averse 😂
I can't believe how Hollywood predicted skynet in 1984
Adding a safety layer would be helpful.
"For adult visitors, hanging out on this net can bring them back to their childhood times." 🤣 I wonder how many adults today had to live through this as children!!!
*THIS JUST SHOWS COMMON SENSE ISN'T SO COMMON*
Is Burj Khalifa common sense?
a fire hazard due to lightning can prove dangerous
I agree.
But, Bro.... lightning will come only with rains...
And if it's rains, then the authority will surely close it and also if there are people on it, surely they will remove them and send them to safer place.....
It is hard to say ... I would probably try it once. There are so many beautiful places in China, this mid-air playground is not high on my bucket list.
As if there's no more space in China 😂😂😂
I’d totally go on this even though it’d be pretty scary!
Besides safety measures, what's even the point of building this?
The same like bungy jump, why? You might wonder.
Is the land so scarce, that they need to play in the air? I don‘t understand why some people want to take that kind of risk. There are many things worth to do with your life instead of this kind of pleasure.
"If it can go wrong, it will go wrong"
- Engineer
It can accommodate upto 50 people…… For now
I would never allow my children to go anywhere near that
Thats quite impressive, but i wouldn't be able to play there. I don't even go on ski lifts and roller coasters. Nevermind a Skynet
This is the real Skynet.
What is the reason why?
Why a playground suspended in the air? Not that China is lack of ground space! Of course the operators would say it’s safe, just wait for a disaster to happen then it would be a different story
People are getting tired of living.
I think the height could be lowered, even if it's just hanging 4 meters in the air would be enough for the people playing on it
I'll be right on that. Ever buy something made in China.
Extreme winds have entered the chat
Is China bored of making ordinary bridges?
This is a giant hammock than a playground.
Looks like a giant hamster cage with tiny human pets running around ...
I don't mind. There are many people risking their lives to climb Everest.
If it's not for me, it might be for someone else.
200m...so high, just to make sure that there won't be any survivors if it does collapse one day.
I don't have the stupidity to get up there, even if I was paid to do so.
This is extremely irresponsible.
Both on account of the parents and authorities.
Lol just pray it doesn't end up like one of other China's bridges lately in the news
would not last long..
would be bettter if this can be built nearer to the ground
Kids like climbing. Those walls look climbable and low; enough to easily climb and go over😮😢
You can always trust state made materials...
