I have a 2015 yukon denali. I wonder if they are the same. My driver side is blowing warm and passenger side and rear air is cold . What type screw hold the actuator down?
The computer module that you have to remove to have the enough room beeds to be reprogramed or you just have to plug in back with no relearn procedure?
Still hasn't been answered.. What was your specific condition for having to change the top actuator out? This is the best video that I've seen for this specific body style, but the failed condition hasn't been explained. It would help a lot of people to know what your issue was when needing to replace that specific actuator.
I’m having to replace mine because the driver side a/c vents are blowing warm to hot air, and my passenger side a/c vents are blowing cold air…idk if that’s the answer you’re looking for😅
I believe the failed condition is that the drivers side blows out warm/hot air while the passenger side blows out cold air. This is the same exact issue that I am having with my 2014 Sierra.
@@tomcunningham2063 that's my issue or atleast it was. I did the HVAC reset by pulling fuses and it corrected itself at one point but then it messed up again. That then made me wonder if the driver's side dual zone temp sensor was acting up. But i haven't messed with it in a while as I'm using the heat more so now.
@@cwdrake09 Sounds like we have the same issue and tried the same remedies. I too tried the HVAC reset procedure and it worked for a bit, but once I went from cool to heat and then back, it messed up again. The blend door was relatively cheap, it's just looks like a bitch of a job to do. I found another video this morning that is a bit more detailed on how to do it and has more information about the screw sizes and what not. Here is the link to it for reference: ua-cam.com/video/rk3eQIeV27w/v-deo.html
Don’t know if you guys are still having issues… but mine just went out. There’s a UA-cam video with a guy in an Escalade explaining how to correct it. I ran the ac full blast for 5 minutes. Then the heat full blast for 5 minutes. Then the ac again for 5 minutes. It’s worked for a few days. I’ll report back if it fails again. Hope this helps.
Saved me a shit ton of time thank you 🙏
@lowbudgetproductions thank you! Life saver!!!
Awesome. Thank you so much. Great info.
Thank so much for this video.
PITA to get to, but saved me $800+...thanks
Nice to know I've got one to do Monday
If it helps anyone, the blend door actuator itself is held down by three metric 3 Allen screws.
THANK YOU!!!
Thanks, man!

What about calibration after install? Do you have to hook it up or can you manually do it by going from low to high?

If my driver side vents isnt blowing cold but passenger side is blowing cold would this be the right actulator to change?
I have this same exact problem
@Mark Tillery Yea Changed em already and AC works just like New when i first got truck. Thanks
@@DanyoPJr42o So which one did you have to switch out. Mine is doing the same, driver side is not cold but passenger side is.
@@DanielMartinez-np1uq Was the one in this video if your Driver Side is not Blowing Cold
Do you have a link for this part?
That's the temperature actuator not the blend door actuator
That’s what the blend door actuator does! LOL
Do you have to reprogram the module?
