Best cliffhanger in TV history? This cliffhanger is literally one of the reasons for the shows downfall. And it’s actually a very poorly written cliffhanger. It may look like a good one when you can just binge watch the show, but for when it was airing every Sunday, this cliffhanger was bad. A cliffhanger is meant to make you excited for what’s to come, it’s meant to make you get mad for cutting it off there. But not mad in a bad way, it’s meant to make you mad in a good way. This angered fans in the absolute worst way possible. And now the excitement was only about who was killed, not about what’s next, but only about who died. Here’s how it really should’ve been done: You kill Abraham to end off this episode, and bam. That’s the cliffhanger. What is our group gonna do? How are they gonna get out of this? What is Negan gonna do to them? And then you open the season 7 pilot with the shocking revelation that Negan killed 2 people. People would lose their minds, cause you think that’s it. He killed Abraham. But then BAM, Glenn is gone.

The reason 6x16 is so unsettling and terrifying is that, for the first time in the series, the group is 100% subjected to another. This happened before at Terminus, but that was quickly "solved" in just two episodes, and back at the prison x Woodbury they were never fully subjected to the Governor. This time they stirred up a wasp nest without knowing how bad it would be, the situation escalated progressively worse through 3 episodes and now they're 100% at Negan's mercy - and he won't go away. Nothing's scarier than getting in a dangerous situation willfully, seeing it get worse and out of your control and then being unable to get out. 😖
I know twd can emotionally drain you but, the payoff of watching our people overcome all struggles in life is worth it ,please find your strength to continue, I truly love your reactions so please don't give up on the show
Hahaha brutal! It was actually about 6 months of a wait. I didn’t have to wait at all tho cuz I was binge watching season 6 on Amazon right before season 7 premiered on AMC! So I was one of the lucky ones! 😅
Omg I've seen this episode a ton of times so I knew what was coming, but I've never been as nervous and scared as I was watching your reaction from the beginning of the ep. I was sick to MY stomach lol.
What an episode, pure dread just building up to the end. Just imagine the people watching it live, we had to wait 7 months before the next season started. So many theories were out there. I can't wait to see you continue.

If you were silent the whole time and just sat there shaking, I think most of us would get it. Rick is so broken down i this episode...you can just see his world crumble roadblock after roadblock (fantastic acting in this one)! And they severly underestimated The Saviors!
