We were all there with you buddy 😭. We cried like a baby, broke our tv, cursed to high heaven, puked our guts out, put Negan at the very top of our list and some of us never went back to finish the show after this episode. Cry Dan. Let it all out. Rage if you have to. Beat the crap out of your pillow lol. We're here for you ❤
I was one of those that stopped watching after this episode. I shut the TV off and curled into a ball and cried. I haven't watched past this episode since... but I'm going to go on this ride with him
its actually a very appropriate emotional reaction going through all the anger the sadness and then the fear i felt the same way and yes i also still had that small lingering feeling of revenge i think negan is a brilliantly written character joking around while killing someone making a spectiical out of the whole thing therefore making the people afraid of him because they can't read his actual(human) emotions that way this already shows that he is smarter than the governor
This is easily the episode that is either make or break for a lot of people, it was a major shift in a lot of things we are used to. as shocking, sad and pissed off we all felt, its some amazing story telling.

I was staying with my mom when it first aired, she came to tell me dinner was ready in the middle of it, saw my face, and asked me if I was okay. All I could say was "NOOOO!! 😭😭😤🤬" 😂😂😂
OMG! No dinner would've helped comfort that... your poor Mum probably worked so hard making it 😂. I went and ranted to my Mum.. she just nodded in disbelief I think at my level of frustration XD

I cried so hard during the brutal death of Abraham and Glenn. I was absolutely heartbroken. I never thought a t.v. show could affect me so much as this show has. This episode hurt so much.
I had predicted it was Abraham to but I never expected Glenn as well! It was truly shocking and heartbreaking and graphic! Poor Maggie! 😩 I really love that the only one she really listened to through her grief was Carl, he was so brave in this episode to! Seeing Rick so broken to! 💔😩 I’ve watched probably over 100 reactions to this episode and yours was one of the best! Just the disbelief and then anger 😡 Amazing reaction as usual, hope you’ve processed it ok! RIP Abraham & Glenn 😢 And give us our Daryl back!!!
Kinda funny story actually... I was considering showing the show to my younger brother. I had asked my Mum and she'd kinda not given me a straight answer. I now know why she was reserving her true thoughts, as she'd seen this before. UGHHH I can't get over how horrible it was. RIP Abraham and Glenn... no one deserves to go out that way....
I'm so glad you grasped the goal of this episode. A lot of people quit after this one because they didn't like what happened... which was exactly the point. It's an incredibly tough watch because this informs so much story moving forward. It needed to be unrelenting to make this story work and for it to actually have a purpose and gravity with the audience. This is a near perfect episode for how it changes the game.
The way Negan is able to control Rick and anyone else he wants to manipulate is crazy. He changed Rick’s whole facial expression from anger to pure thankfulness. Wild.
Havent fully finished the react yet, but I wanted to point out that the actor wanted this death scene! Sucks for our characters but it's neat for the actor. Also, maybe unpopular opinion, but I love this episode. The acting from everyone is insane. It's easy to forget it's a show.
I have survived intense trauma and so when I first watched this episode, I dissociated from my emotions completely. And I went into shock. Like I used to when bad things happened to me. I think the fact that it takes so long to process and causes viewers to become numb speaks volumes as to how good the writing is. That is a real reaction.

One of the things that writers and producers talked about before this episode was wanting to traumatize watchers. They had a trauma therapist help create it. They wanted the viewers to be haunted by things like the quietness in the air while their skulls cracked and brains splattered. They wanted us to be afraid, like Rick was when he was forced to cut off Carl’s arm. For us to feel as violated as everyone else was while watching their loved one be brutally murdered as a man laughs and jokes about it the whole time. A big part of this show for a long time was people speculating what they would do in these survival situations, how they would respond to certain things. But when you live it yourself and experience that trauma firsthand, it’s 100% different. You never know how you’d react until you go through it. And it changes your perspective. That was the goal of the creators. For viewers to understand that. A LOT of people stopped watching after this. Some just couldn’t take the trauma. Some were just pissed. Some were traumatized but stuck with it. It takes a special kind of person to survive. It takes a special kind of person to endure this and continue watching. As much as it fucking sucked. It was a beautifully written episode.
Watching again. Yea I felt physically ill watching this episode. And I’m a horror fan. But this was all too much. Very dark and eerie. I guess that says how good these actors are.

I wanted soooo badly to warn you! I worried Glenn's death would break you. I am glad to see you have taken it all in stride. I thought this should have been the season finale, because a lot of people thought it was a good time to take a break, regroup and come back fresh. And a lot just didn't come back the next week or ever.. IMO, the way they handled it was overkill.... Remember in Doctor Who, the behind the scenes footage of David Tennant's four takes of his final words? David said he thought if they showed the Doctor completely breaking down, it stops the viewers from breaking down? That is how I felt here. It was overkill. And I just thought it was gross after a while. It took me out of the story.
glenn was the last morale compass of the group. he was a product of hershel and dale. they woulda been proud of him.
