Yes! More of these videos would be fantastic. Prolly boost some R*S sales as well ;) NCom with SSG would be a good one to do. having a blast with my new "euro Serge" modules. Thanks for posting.
I have 4 grand to spend on my first modular setup. Do you think it’s absurd to get a full Serge Eurorack System? starting with Sequencer 8, DUSG, VCM, VCFQ, RESEQ, SSG, & NTO?
if that is what you want go for it. the serge sound is epic. patch point has a sale on the serge eurorack right now, so catch it while its there! patch-point.com
Thanks Doc! Not enough stuff out there covering Serge modules. I just started building my system with the soon arriving NTO as both my first Serge module and my savior from having to use Maths as a VCO. You have any tips on getting the most out of an NTO? I've got maths, a wavefolder and a LPG so far, probably some Serge filter/resonant EQ once my wallet refills. Thanks :)
is there an explanation why one has to cycle when using noise and not cycle when using the s/h src as input of the stepped side? took some time to figure that out
you don't havde to cycle wgeb using noise -- it depends on the volume and color of the noise & on the shape / width of the pulse going into the sample input how the stepped side reacts.
@@debrderberamderbsten the stepped side does not have to be cycled to work when you plug something into the input. It only needs to be cycled when you don't have anything plugged into the input/
The cycle switch does not need to be on. 1. try it withcycle off always 2. try different pulse s going into sample 3. check the sh/src on a scope and see what the vMAX and vMIN and vpp are.
The sounds at 3:05 and your dog's reaction totally set my dogs off! Thanks for the demo!
You are very welcome! this one is for the dogs!
Perfect timing my SSG and DUSG are just on the way back to me 🖤
Perfect! Happy new year!

For A second I thought you said that boy sounds like a dog!
@@drwiener I see what you did there. Serge on.
I can't make my SSG to make dog sounds though ;)
You have to calibrate the bark trimmer! ;)
That was sloppy demo af
