As you're reviewing my husband is looking at me, then over at my skincare counter and back at me and says, "oh no your not easily influenced. " My response it's not that I'm easily influenced it's that the products you recommend actually work! Lol so thank you ❤
i agree with you! i have never heard of some of these brands until i came across james' channel and it has changed my skincare game! go 'head and get yo skincare girlllll hahaaa!
James, I had mild eczema for 30 years. Copper tripeptide serum changed that. I've been eczema free for 20 years. I know rosacea is different, but for what it's worth, don't EVER discontinue use of copper serum.
Totally agreed! Even if James only mention a product briefly (like the Ample:n Ceramide for example) and it totally works for my skin, it has become my go-to serum for my skin barrier 👏
So happy to see Beekman 1802 introduced on your channel. They’ve been a small cult classic brand for the past few years! Just awarded #1 skincare brand in Ulta
I have to say your rosacea has clearly improved a LOT with whatever skincare regimen you’re currently on! i bet you must feel so much more comfortable!! thanks for all the laughs & advice through the year, i appreciate you!
It’s the laser therapy for rosacea. I tried the bbl laser for rosacea but it did absolutely nothing and for $700 that’s pretty disappointing 😞. I’m going to try the Vbeam which is supposed to be the gold standard laser for rosacea and broken capillaries and it’s also cheaper than the bbl I had done so who knows
I get so frustrated with skincare because fragrance, niacinamide, and HA are in everything. Unfortunately my extremely reactive, sensitive, rosacea skin doesn’t play well with the ingredients. I wish companies would do two lines. Fragrance and fragrance free. Here is hoping 2024 will see more fragrance free products. I did order the Prequel skincare. I am so excited to try it.
Thank you! I thought I was nuts when I thought niacinimide was causing issues! And yes, it became a buzz product and the companies put it EVERYWHERE 🤷♀️. Now I need to look into the HA as reactive...
I recently got the Illiyoon ceramide ato lotion during a a sale and can vouch for how well it works. Within two weeks of once a day use it made my crusty-dry-Popeye's biscuit hands baby soft, to the point that I no longer feel the typical raised layer of scarred skin I'd normally have. I wish I had this when I used to work food service because the cleaning chemicals and gloves both did a number on my hands and forearms. Had to get me a second bottle, kind of afraid to use it on the rest of the body because if it made my butt as smooth as my hands are now I'd slide off the toilet seat like a well-moisturized mistake.
Yeessss!! So honored to make your best of 2023 list 🥹 and excited to try the Prequel items and Naturium lippies (and I love my Saltair body wash). The Center is on a roll with all their innovation. Happy holidays James (from one uber expressive person to another). You’re such a gift to UA-cam 🎁 😘🎄
I was FINALLY able to order the Prequel Gleanser! I got a notification that it was back in stock this morning and I snagged it! Also, my husband says "I love you but stop making her buy stuff" 😂 You're the reason he even started a skincare routine to begin with and he's so happy so thank you! ❤
I have to back up the LED mask. I only have a project E, much cheaper, mask. But the NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE after a week of use in terms of oil, even fine lines, pore size, is just amazing. Totally recommend also.
Hmmm I’m interested now. What age do you think is good to start using it at? Or is it one of theee things that you would say any age can benefit from? 😅 I’m 23 and currently working on building an anti-aging routine into my skincare routine
I have bee haunted by those 472-in-one products too🤣🤣 "Its your shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, moisturizer, face cream, cuticle oil, morning coffee, motor oil, and dishwash ALL IN ONE!!"
I am so glad you love the Beekman toner spray. I picked that up over a month ago to help with the dry winter air as well as help my skin not freak and peel from starting tret (along with spironolactone) for my hormonal acne. I have gotten compliments on my skin glowing even with my acne on my chin/cheeks. Def going to be a staple, I hope it doesn’t sell out now!
The Kosas deodorant is such an underrated holy grail - I've never seen any bigger influencers mention it before! I have sensitive skin and the fragrance-free version is great for me - I've used it on very hot holidays and it still worked great
Just started this video, and I have to say I love Beekman!!!! The milkshake is a must, best hydrating toner spray I’ve ever used! I also love oh-Mega milk, it’s so beautiful on the skin and I can actually feel it moisturizing my super dry skin. SO happy to see them in this video! 💛
Excited to try Prequel! I have my eye on their new Vit C. Have you tried any Stratia products? I love their Interface Peptide Cream. They’ve really packed a ton of great stuff in it! All of their products are excellent.
the rebranding from the ordinary is really not something i expected but i have to say im very impressed with their multifunctional products coming out now. the barrier serum feels somehow instantly calming to my skin in a way ive never experienced really. also totally agree about the two prequel products. the moisturizer is the softest ive ever used while still being so nourishing. thanks for the long video james! you are the skinfluencer i trust the most! when you like a product, i do too
Have you tried La Roche Posay Cicaplast for hands? I use that along with their Lipikar triple repair cream. I'm no hand cream expert but I've tried dozens, and this combo has worked the best for me. Much better than some more expensive hand creams including L'Occitane and Kiels.
THE GLEANSER FROM PREQUEL - WOW. Could not agree more. I really think you said it best when you said that it puts the joy back into cleansing. Prior to trying the gleanser, I felt like it was a step I was trying to just get through. The cleanser is so luxurious. I’m already sad about when I’ll run out lol
I would love to see more fragrance reviews from you, just descriptions that no one else gets but then they kinda make sense when you smell them 😂Like the fragrance episode from the Double Cleanse Podcast! Merry Christmas!🎄
James, have you tried Beekman’s body care products? I love the Sunshine Scrub and the Body Serum! So wonderful! I’m so glad you found Beekman. I love their stuff.
I’ve never been very good at picking skincare for myself and often follow trends however watching your channel has opened up so much more knowledge for me to actually look properly into my skincare and I’ve tried a good few products you’ve recommended with great results! Not only that but i now know what to avoid for my skin 😊
Happy New Year!! I do have to say that I wasn't big into multi alstep skincare until I happened upon your channel through your brother. I don't have as many steps as you do, but I did find products that work. You turned me onto The Ordinary and Prequel. I just looked on their website to get the face and body cream and it's sold out. I DO LOVE their Gleanser. My makeup looks better because my skin looks better! I'm 58 and your videos have truly helped my skin look great! Thank you!
I’m using the Illiyoon and it’s so LARGE! It was such a bargain price that I couldn’t believe it (sale), so I got it and wow it’s enormous. I don’t know how long it will take me to finish this 😂 Biggest bottle of moisturizer I’ve EVER had and a really nice formula. One of the best I’ve used, the hype is definitely there. My skin is oily and combo but it doesn’t feel oily or greasy or heavy at all. It sinks right in! Amazing.
I love Aestura Atobarrier 365 cream and upon skinfluencer recommendations got the Iliyoon Atobarrier cream because I was down to try a more affordable version of my favorite moisturizer. Unfortunately it broke me out, small bumps all over. I then looked up that a lot of people have had that experience with the Iliyoon one and not the Aestura one.
Per your recommendation in a previous video, I ordered Prequel cleanser, and I agree that it is very alluring, soft, gentle, and feels luxurious. Btw it does remove makeup quite well. Thank you for suggesting it. It is going to last me quite a while.
I also love Glow Recipe, I got their Fruit babies set as a gift for my mum for het Birthday to try and her into skincare, especially as Glow Recipe is cute and smells nice so good for people not into skincare. Aestura is one of my fave brands, I loved their cream mist and face cream, very similar to Laneige Cream skin Refiner and the Illiyoon Ato cream.
I followed your recommendation of Saltair’s Black Tide and I think I owe you big time. To me, it smells like rain when it hits concrete after a dry spell, which is the scent I’ve always wanted to capture in a bottle. I love it so much that I even got the lotion. Such an underrated collection.
I've never heard anyone else talk about Slurp Labratories! I've been using the Niacid for the past few years and it makes my skin so plump and hydrated, and has really soothed my PIE.
Found the Experiment serum from you about a year or so ago and so in love with it still! Im sensitive to hyalauronic acid I've found and the Super Saturated serum absolutely saved my skin. Gonna try that Prequel cleanser too as I've heard great things about it and I'm a dry skin girl.
Omg!! I can’t tell you how excited I am for you to talk about Beekman 1802!! I live in upstate NY, about 45 minutes from their flagship store and their products are SO good, I tell everyone I know to try Beekman and go visit in person if possible! Their Bloom Cream moisturizer absolutely saved my oily, sensitive, acne prone skin. Have a Happy New Year James! 🎉❤
Purchased the prequel glenser and their new vitamin c cream…only on week 1 of using it but they are nice on my skin, when I use them. Love that it doesn’t have any “smells” and the vitamin c doesn’t irritate my skin AT ALL!!
My mom is OBSESSED with Beekman lol she has almost all their products, whether it’s laundry items, skincare, etc. lmao but I never cared about it until you mentioned it cause I was worried it would irritate me.
@@beekman1802skincareyou are so nice responding to everyone! I just subscribed to your channel! I’m a skincare fanatic and I’m going to try your products! I watched another channel that got your advent calendar and it was SO CUTE! 💛💛💛
Oh man, I finally bought the Laneige Lip Mask and was so excited to use it; however, shortly after I started using it, it left my lips burning, red and actually gave me blisters.😩 I do have very sensitive skin and was having a allergic reaction to it, which is such a bummer. I was so looking forward to trying all the different flavors. Not sure exactly what ingredients in it that I'm allergic to, but I still would want to try other products of theirs, I just have to remember to read the label before I buy next time.🙂
I'm in love with the ordinary's skin barrier serum too! I only use it in the morning but I think I'm going to start using it at night. I'm also in love with all of glow recipe's stuff but it's so expensive! 😢
Agreed on Glow Recipe. And they never have any really REALLY good sales!! Like... One of my fave splurge skincare products is the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud mask. But I only buy it when it's on a steep discount & I found it for $30 just last week [VS $60]. And it lasts me a year! But w/ Glow Recipe... I know their products won't last me so long that the high price tag is genuinely worth it. RIP
I LOVE Beekman's milk drops ceramide serum! Discovered during ulta's 21 days of beauty 😍 I've been hooked ever since. Anytime it's on sale I try to stock up
Such a shame as not all of these (e.g. Prequel) are not available in UK. I follow American influences, but I enjoy following you and other Brits because I hope you use skin care/make up that is available in the UK. I understand you have a lot of American viewers. But ...
I recently purchased the omnilux mask that has light therapy and so far I'm happy with the results. I have a lot of redness and i do think it's helped.
Oh, James, thank you for talking about the build skincare b balm because I, too, have rosacea, and since you said it's 'almost' the perfect moisturizer, I just purchased it and can't wait to try it.
My skin has never been super sensitive and then all of a sudden, BAM!! My skin freaked out and became super sensitive to something. I am like a tomato. I cross refrenced ingredients and cant find the culprit 😭. I had to take every thing away including my beloved tretinoin and go straight from cleanser to vaseline right on. I am slowly adding things back one at a time.
Happy New Year! ☺️ I really enjoy watching your videos , though as I'll be 60 this year I'm a bit older than a lot of your viewers I guess. I really feel for you dealing with sensitive skin, I have autoimmune conditions & allergies, so I've been dealing with rashes & sensitive skin for years. I want to give a plug to a an Australian brand that you may not have seen. It's been a go to company for many Aussies with sensitive skin for a while, QV Skincare Australia. The QV Ceramides cleanser & body lotion are both so creamy & soothing & I've found they're great on face & body. I've just realised they have a serum in the QV Face range as well, so I'm adding that to my shopping list. It's all very affordable & my skin has responded well to it.
I looove Beekman! They definitely don’t get enough clout for their skincare. I use their milk tint with spf for the summer because it’s SO tinted compared to countless other brands I’ve tried with a much larger color range and actually dries down matte. It has even more tint than Alastin- which I use in the winter because it’s dewier. Their better aging bakuchiol serum is in my nightly skincare routine, I drop a couple drops into a dab of Tatcha overnight repair cream and mix it. It makes any overnight cream you use last a lot longer cuz it spreads easier & you need less cream. I wake up and my skin is so nourished and happy with that combo. Also if you are in the market for a body cream, their honey almond cookie scent is DELICIOUS. 🤤
@@Вика-м7ц Ah,what a shame. Would love to see someone do a deep dive of the brand and explain some of the controversies like them reformulating without disclosing it.
James, thanks so much for the advice on the exfoliant. I also have rosacea and am also triggered by every exfoliant I’ve ever tried. Definitely going to order the one in this video. ❤
Goat milk has been used by brands for years!! Kate Somerville goat milk cleanser etc, Chuckling Goat I believe was one of the first brands to use goats milk. Stella McCartney. There’s lots and it’s nothing new in the UK
I’ve gone back to a really stripped down routine. That being said glow recipe’s cloudberry serum/essence/toner really intrigues me. I’d love more opinions on it before I splash out.
James please could you review the Beauty Formulas brand that you buy from Bodycare here in the UK? It's BY FAR the most affordable skincare on the market and tbh it's all I can afford, but I don't want to start using it if its rubbish. TY
I've been looking at those Prequel products for a while as I use up the brands I've got but after your review, I may just have to go on and get them! Merry Christmas to you and look forward to following you in the New Year!
Hi James. I love ur chanel and ur brothers. I wondered if you cld recommend a sling care routine for me? I am 42 and a single mum so nothing too expensive. I have normal skin and like it to be glowy. I have just bought some make up your brother recommended so hopefully between the 2 of u 2024 will be my year lol. Thank u so much for all you do! My son is 7 and we both love watching the twin channel! Jodie xx
Thank you James, that was an amazing informative video I love it! I'm excited to try some of the Peptides that you were speaking of. I'm probably the only one who hasn't tried the Glow recipes pomegranate or watermelon. Their number one on my list. I would want to work for SpaceNK if I were an influencer too. Your brand trip with Robert looked amazing 🤌! Happy Christmas ❤🌲❤️
Some of my favs I’ve started this year was I’m From Rice serum, Make p:rem Safe Me cream, and the ordinarys retinoid emulsion 🫶 Loved your channel for years, I started skincare after watching you talk about the innisfree green tea line ❤ Happy holidays and thanks for you list of favs as always 😌
Can you suggest something for day to day that's easy to find in all parts of the world? I have combo skin, and keep finding myself buying stuff that I end up not liking, like most of the stuff even the SPF leaves my face like I just dumbed it in to barrel of oils. I'm looking for cheaper ones tho, cleaner, moisturiser/face cream and maybe some combo serums. I would be so appreciative for this
I picked up all the prequal products except the spray since I have one already and the urea lotion since I use the cetaphil 20% urea lotion and I’m excited to try. The price point is amazing and so are the ingredients. I’ve gone up in tret strength and I need affordable barrier care products
To anyone who reads this, happy holydays. And if you don't celibrate anything in particular, have a great enjoyable time.
thank you! ❤
You too!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays James and skincare fam! We leveling up with glass skin in 2023 💜🎄
"A young teacher who has alot of money",love the description James, actually had to pause the video i was laughing so much🤣!

Merry Merry Christmas, James🎅 Absolutely LOVE the Annual Awards!! You're the best!!❤
Merry Christmassssss!
Happy Christmas 🎄🎅🏻
THE GLEANSER FROM PREQUEL - WOW. Could not agree more. I really think you said it best when you said that it puts the joy back into cleansing. Prior to trying the gleanser, I felt like it was a step I was trying to just get through. The cleanser is so luxurious. I’m already sad about when I’ll run out lol
I’m obsessed with the Prequel cleanser. I have terrible eczema and I use it as a shave product. Such an amazing product for an affordable price
I would love to see more fragrance reviews from you, just descriptions that no one else gets but then they kinda make sense when you smell them 😂Like the fragrance episode from the Double Cleanse Podcast!
Merry Christmas!🎄

Loving the Glow Recipe. Beautiful packaging and good ingredients 💖
Yes beekman!!!! 💛 that spray is everything

That wave at the beginning was so stinkin’ cute. I just want to hug you! Merry Christmas!🎄
Prequel barrier cream is the best face cream I’ve ever used for my rosacea. I want to put it on all the time. It’s so perfect for me.
I've been using super saturated based on your best 2022 video, and I always reach back to it. Here I am this year taking notes 📝

The kiehl's avocado eye cream has that reflective quality. It is one of those eye creams that I feel works right away (maybe it is just in my mind)

@@beekman1802skincareyou are so nice responding to everyone! I just subscribed to your channel! I’m a skincare fanatic and I’m going to try your products! I watched another channel that got your advent calendar and it was SO CUTE! 💛💛💛
Beekman 1802 is on my list to try. I can't wait for you to finally be able to discuss the eye cream you love that you haven't been able to discuss.
RIP
Loved this video James...thank you. Wish we could get some of these products here in South Africa ❤😊
I LOVE Beekman's milk drops ceramide serum! Discovered during ulta's 21 days of beauty 😍 I've been hooked ever since. Anytime it's on sale I try to stock up
We love to hear that!
You're an educated & trustworthy influencer, so of course products you mention quickly sell out. Do you have any dupes for Decalt? Thanks 😊
The Breekman probiotic serum helps my skin so much even though I’m super allergic to dairy lol. Helps a lot
Good to know! I also have a dairy allergy.
Thank you, James. Happy holidays to you and yours and all 5he skincare lovers everywhere.
I love beekman ❤ that spray is so good I'm on my second bottle
James, if you happen to see this place do a video about trentoin and what else can be used with it that can be purchased without a sctipt.
Would love to try prequel, but not available in the UK 😢 x
If its in James favorites of the year. Its been added to cart 😊😂 and checked out
@JamesWelsh I feel like in 2024 vitamins and supplements will be a hot topic. I would love to see a video from you on this.
Have you done a brand overview of First Aid Beauty? Would love to see it if not. ❤
If I’m not mistaken he mentioned this brand in the video about the products that he won’t review for some reasons
Yes I am so chicken to try exfoliates because of my reactive skin.
Goat milk has been used by brands for years!! Kate Somerville goat milk cleanser etc, Chuckling Goat I believe was one of the first brands to use goats milk. Stella McCartney. There’s lots and it’s nothing new in the UK
Thank you so much for highlighting Milk Shake and Milk Drops! We're so happy to have made our way into your skincare collection. Cheers to 2024!
I’ve gone back to a really stripped down routine. That being said glow recipe’s cloudberry serum/essence/toner really intrigues me. I’d love more opinions on it before I splash out.
Merry Christmas James. And thank you so much for all the vídeos. I Love your Channel. 💜
Yes love this format video! 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️
Loooooved this long-form. Super informative.
The caudalie essence is my favorite. If you haven't tried it you should.
Have a lovely festive season and a super blessed new year, James 💜
James please could you review the Beauty Formulas brand that you buy from Bodycare here in the UK? It's BY FAR the most affordable skincare on the market and tbh it's all I can afford, but I don't want to start using it if its rubbish. TY
I’ve been using the UK brand Facetheory a lot this year, would love for you to review them!
Jodie xx
Have a wonderful Christmas, James! 🎄🎁
Diptyque also has a really impressive coffee fragrance that came out more recently. It REALLY smells like a cafe 😮
We can’t get some of this products in the UK unfortunately, James is lucky he was gifted them
Some of my favs I’ve started this year was I’m From Rice serum, Make p:rem Safe Me cream, and the ordinarys retinoid emulsion 🫶
Loved your channel for years, I started skincare after watching you talk about the innisfree green tea line ❤
Happy holidays and thanks for you list of favs as always 😌
Happy holidays and thank you endlessly for all your tips and tricks and explanations. Please be safe and have a fun holiday!
Unfortunately, can't get Prequel. in the UK.
That serum from the Ordinary looks like Pepto Bismol and I can't unsee it
Due to your recommendation, I started using that Watermelon toner. I love it.
