I play on PS5 and every single game mode has a full player game. I load in instantly to any game mode. I'm almost certain this game will never die. The battlefront player base is extremely dedicated. Especially with large groups doing community events.
I play with my brother, Its often easy to find a full server, however its also often you get put in an empty one, also people leaving after a game and nobody joining the lobby. Timing is a big factor though. For example, on reinforcement day, anything galactic republic is full of players. Its when we usually play.
@@MotoJP99 I never get put in an empty one, I even load up mid morning during the week when all the little kiddos are in school and find full lobbies of CS, GA, HvV, and starfiighter modes and even cargo. Nobody played those modes when the game was still getting updates. 😂 but here I am getting instant full lobbies. My luck must be better than everyone else's but I won't complain!
Been one of the OG pre-order players since 2017 lol. I love this game. I thought i wouldn't be saying this after the disaster MTX loot boxes but i love this game and i see myself going back to it frequently. I play on Xbox series S and im from north America and i find some pretty good lobbies still that are full.
This video is click bait for anyone wondering , it’s alright , the lightsaber combat is trash , u can’t even fill up a 64 player lobby , you’ll never get to play a hero in one of them lobby’s , it’s dead don’t even bother getting it
Very timely video. I purchased a PlayStation 4 in 2017 simply to play this game. I hadn't gamed probably since high school which was about a 20-year gap. This game blew my mind about what multiplayer gaming was. Fast forward to 2023 where I now own a PC. Last week I was reminded of the game and saw that it was on sale for $10. I couldn't pass up that price and it was definitely worth it.
Honestly just for the instant action and other offline content alone, it's worth it. I almost never touched SWBF2 (2005) multiplayer so having a lotta cool modes to play offline again this time around is a really good offering. Plus with the added bonus of having everything unlocked while playing those offline modes is great. Granted, I did play a lot of online multiplayer for this game on my PS4 when it was still being supported, but sometime after the Celebration Edition came out, I eventually got it on PC for the mods. All of the mods I have right now are just cosmetics but I kinda wanna try the gameplay-changing mods too.
Ok well if you want a stable mod battlefront + is the way to go a lot of other overhaul mods have some errors but at least for me the only mod I've played that was %100 stable is battlefront +
I love this game; it has amazing gameplay. I'm still playing the game on PS5 and I'm on the West Coast of the United States. I feel that you can always find gameplay on modes, but hard to find gameplay on Hero Showdown and Hero Starfighter. Honestly, I'm still amazed that their many gamers still playing this game, but why not it's a great game.
I don't play much, but every time I return I find matches relatively quickly. It always puts a smile on my face when I return to it. The graphics still hold up years later. Campaign is a W as well. I love playing in first person giving the feeling that I'm actually in star wars
I still play my copy on my Xbox One. I don't think I've ever got my monies worth out of a game more than I did with Battlefront 2. Have been playing it since it came out. And yeah, whenever a new Star Wars show comes out, I always think about all the characters, skins, maps, etc, that we could have got.
I’m on PS4 and I’ve been here since release. Best £49.99 I ever paid for a game. Still playing 7 years later. I love Galactic Assault. Jumped on last Saturday morning and had a full server on my favourite map: Endor. Never have an issue finding a full lobby. Love paying instant action off line as well.

Love this game. In 2020 my friend and I reinstalled the game on Xbox in the US with fresh accounts. We played a lot of co-op so we could rank up our heroes as fast as possible. Never had issues finding a co-op game for any era. Once we maxed out all our heroes, we pretty much exclusively played hero showdown. Always able to find a game there. Game is still very much alive.
This game is so good, it’s caused me to waste a ton of money on other games that I have not played yet. I can’t stop playing this game and I would put down $100 easily all over again if my disc broke. I’m in Florida, the US, XBox, still get full lobbies almost instantly. Smaller modes like Blast and Extraction, only 15 - 30 seconds wait. Best of all, it’s the Star Wars universe and very faithful to it in sights and sounds.
something relatively unrelated but very strange to me is that EA put BF2 on steam after they stopped support, same with BF1, PVZ garden warfare 2, and battle for Neighborville, but NOT garden warfare 1, as far as im aware, thats the ONLY EA (PC)game that u cant buy through steam for whatever reason, and that bugs the hell out of me
I play on PS5 on the Virginia server in the US. I get into an HvV game almost instantly, any time of day or night. I also get into Strike/Extraction games all the time too. I rarely do larger game modes, but if I do, they are super easy to get into. I will always love this game more than any other game I’ve ever owned. It’s not only been my favorite Star Wars game, but seriously it’s my all-time favorite game!
I’ve downloaded it a couple months. I’m horrendous at online except heroes vs villains. I seem to really be able to hold my own there and it’s honestly a fantastic game mode. I’d get it for thet mode alone
I play on PS4 every few weeks. Usually have no problem finding coop, HvV, showdown, galactic assault, and supremacy but those are the ones I usually search for.
I live in Belguim I usually find servers, sometimes even in starfighter assault. Everytime I come back to the game after a while it is incredible fun. I also would like to recommend the gameplay mods they can add a lot. I haven't been able to play a lot with friends but from the times I did it, it was incredible!
And some of the best graphics in a game still today. Playing this in 4K with max settings is absolutely insane. The details, sound and surroundings are incredible.
I play on PS and I always find games all modes tbh from Galactic assault down to Ewok hunt. It’s still very much alive for PS :) I’m actually hitting my friends up to runs some games tonight. I strongly recommend getting it 👍🏼
To help some people who are considering getting it, I'd recommend it, if you are from england or UK then it's generally pretty easy to find servers on console, I can't speak for other countries or platforms however

BF 2 is such a unique game because it’s an “old” game and yet it is a game that is still thriving today. You can get into full lobbies no matter what mode or console you play on.
i finally got a new pc from missing out from playing so many things for years. one of the first things i bought was star wars battlefront 2. no question. i feel like people who put uber amount of players offline/lan in the original battlefronts have a certain heart for this game. I genuinely think its a great game. sure they are missing some content. its still amazing, and plays exactly how i wanted it to be. people nitpick flaws too much. a lot of the greatest games have flaws. as a street fighter player myself. street fighter 3 is considered one of the best after so many years despite its hefty flaws.
I DID buy it... when it came out. This video made me want to experience it again but on my 4090 in 4k with graphics cranked I get garbled graphics, nothing I can do fixes it. Only game with this issue and I want to play but cant. DX11 or DX12 doesnt work properly. Im on windows 11... might be part of the issue if not many other people are having problems.
Unninstaled it around a year ago after I got bored by supremacy, didn't play GA because of the horrible balancing, toxic idiots not respecting 2v2 after saying yes to 2v2 in HS and constantly playing against toxic Vader+Palps+Iden+Phasma lobby tryhards in HVV. Played on PC Now I play the OG Battlefront 2 on the weekends and I am happy
As someone who actively plays on Xbox Battlefront 2, I can say that it is still alive. I mainly play Hero Showdown, so I might encounter the same people more often than I would way back then.
On Xbox, all of the big core modes are instant in joining (Supremacy, GA, HvV, Co=Op). Ewok Hunt and Starfighter Assault are also pretty good in finding a server quickly. However the other smaller game modes are pretty much dead least for me. Ewok Hunt especially has seen a nice boost in players likely due to Halloween approaching. Xbox is in a decent position as well since EA Play is included with GamePass Ultimate, so every EA Star Wars game is available.
I play Xbox in Texas and it’s so so easy to find a game. I’m fixing to be a max Vader So I do play the game a lot but I didn’t start until around 2021. And let me tell ya it’s still a great game. One of the best multiplayer games out there if you give it a SHOT. I did and trust I don’t regret.
Still play this game to this day. Like you Elliot I take breaks from it, but I always come back…still grinding for 100% milestones and sometimes I just miss it, especially with mods :) I play on Xbox and PC, tho PC mainly for mods (which is a big reason to get it on PC, especially with it being so cheap). On Xbox, I can find games in practically every mode - I seriously can’t remember the last time I searched and didn’t find a game. It’s a little slow for smaller, less popular modes, but my friend and I still hop on Starfighter Assault and dominate near-full lobbies every so often. TLDR; BF2017 is still a thriving game with something for every SW fan, and with the passionate fans and mods still coming, there is literally no reason not to buy it.

When i first played the game in 2019 it was great i stopped playing in 2020 but now in 2023 i restarted playing it and every server is full the only problem is entering a specific suppremicy round but thats fine so especially in 2023 i totally recommend (wait for it to go on sale on steam if your broke)
I’m an og XBOX ONE preorder of the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition in 2017 and it is still my favorite video game of all time. I still enjoy playing it from time to time. I’m in the eastern United States and always find lobbies in the popular modes.
Just redownloaded this game on ps5 and found out I have 678 hrs playable on the ps4 😅 last downloaded it in 2019 and to my surprise very much so still active multiplayer. The game has such a commited fan base and superb gameplay. Battlefront II will never die ig, and I’m very much so ok w that
Im playing on PC and im from Poland. Its quite easy to find servers but its not that easy to find servers that have the minimum player count. Most of them need 5-10 more players to start. And these servers take a very long time to fill up. Around 10-20 minutes. Heroes vs Villans are very easy to find, the problem is really inly with co op a dsupremacy. Sometimes i spend 5 minutes finding a server that Has the minimum player count to start. To sum it all up its hard to find a game
I don't spend a lot of time on multiplayer games, but I have put over 1500 hours into BF2, it's a really great game and a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I don't play it anymore because I've already spent many hours on it, and there are other games out there too, and it's kind of depressing to play it now. I miss waiting for updates, checking the subreddit, "CT when?" memes about the pizza guy, the mustard legion, the environmental clutter, some of the OP broken stuff like Palpatine shooting through walls until Dice killswitched him and fixed, launch Anakin etc :) btw the last time I played was a year ago and I played on EU PC servers and it was easy and fast to find matches in all main modes such as Galactic Assault, Supremacy and Heroes vs. Villains.
I play on both PC and Xbox. Queue times are DEFINATELY faster on xbox any time of the day.(Central US based) Both queues pop under 5 min guranteed. May be sitting in a lobby for a few minutes waiting for others to join on pc, but they will. Dont leave games! ♥
I’ve had it on XBOX for a long time and it’s always an Okay time. When you find dudes that respect the 1v1’s in Heroes vs Villains, it’s a great time. I’ve always had a love for BF2 and I hate that the support was dropped for this game so soon after launch. It was not given the love it deserved.
I play on PC pretty much daily and always find full servers. I have never seen it dead. I always have fun, engaging games. The co-op mode reminds me of mass effect 3 online
All these years later I can still hop on a game and it’s full of players, even on galactic assault mode! I’ve only been playing since 2020 but it’s a great game!
Been playing the game for 3 months now on PC on EU servers. I have a lot of fun. And always is able to find games. Supremacy and Galactic Assault being the most popular.
Also a thing to throw out there is that leveling your heroes in co-op is always best on the weekends and Wednesdays. Every weekend is DOUBLE XP, and every Wednesday is TRIPLE XP. You will level your heroes and troopers very quickly!
the last time i tried to play Battlefront 2 there was a glitch where everyone was invincible and couldn't die and apparently it was a glitch that was in the game for a long time, im guessing that got fixed?
My best Star Wars experience was the Unleased 1 and 2. Now you can play it on PC in 4k, + Nvidia/Amd Controll Setting, + Maximum graphic setting, + 60 fps. And if you pay little bit for Mods you can play it with Raytracing. This Game look so awesome if i remember 2010 where i played.
I've been playing SWBF2 since the launch on console. Now I have it on my Ps5 with 704 hours game time, it's definitely still available to jump into the main game modes. Have to say it will always be my favorite game.
I have been playing battlefront since it's release. I play on PS4 and I'm from latinamerica. Currently I can only find games in co-op, all others game modes are impossible to find a match where I am not alone. I haven't played supremacy or galactic assault in many years. It's really frustrating. Although, I still play the game a few times in a month and it's one of the best Star Wars games I've ever played. I recommend anyone who likes Star Wars to try this game, it's not going to disappointing
As someone who pre-ordered this game on xbox and currently plays on pc just for the mods, I can confirm that battlefront is still far from dead and I usually get into a game within 10 seconds.
I play on PS5 in the PNW region. Pretty easy to find a match during peak hours in most game modes, but I've noticed later in the evening, you'll be playing in lobbies that aren't full, especially in Blast
still play all the time, still fun. still pretty sweaty but it was almost equally as sweaty during the live service. Its fun for casuals who dont care and just want star wars, and its fun for competitive gamers who want to learn to play and dominate any mode. and about the steam thing, theres 1-5k players on steam daily (depending on the day and time) and steam is BY FAR the smallest platform. so yes the game is still alive. how to find games easily: I find that the "quick match" feature is broken and only puts you in dead/broken GA lobbies that will never start. search the mode you want to que on virginia or germany servers depending on which you're closest to and there will ALWAYS be a match. other servers get matches too but they can be totally dead at some times of the day and in specific modes. For VA and germany theres pretty much matches in most gamemodes at any time of the day. And even if quick match throws you in a dead GA lobby, theres likely an active GA lobby that the game refuses to put you in unless you specifically que for GA, rather than using quick match. Not saying quick match never works, it works sometimes but not often
I play on Xbox almost everyday, and with Supremacy & Heroes vs. Villains I find a full server often, and with little to no wait. I think the game is very much alive.
I play on PS4 and I find it very easy to play galatic assault, supremacy, Ewok hunt and basically every mode. I honestly think to say battlefront 2 is still alive and functioning very well
Bought the PS4 Edition back in December 2017, a very good game. A couple of years ago the disc broke and I just saw it today on Epic Games for about $4,79 and bought it. Cant wait

Very easy to find games playing on PS5, just had a 2 hour Supremacy game yesterday where I had like 150 kills, & top player had 207 eliminations, so yea game definitely isn't dead and fun asf. Still manages to maintain that Star Wars charm after all these years.
I've owned the game since ps4 and i recently bought the celebration edition on my ps5 and I get into games immediately all the time! I still play quite regularly, but nowadays I usually hop on and play co-op.
Game is alive and well even on PC on all main game modes. Mechanics are really solid and if you play a lot of Heroes vs Villains you get the sense this could've almost been a pro-league competitive game. The hero variety is great and gives you a very solid balance of strength so you can't just mow down the entire enemy team on shooter modes and never feel outclassed in HVV. Galactic assault is really really good. Most maps are really good. Its a great game.
I'm on PS4 and don't really have trouble finding games except for hero starfighters and ewok hunt, takes a little longer to get enough people but eventually I can get a few games in. The co-ops are great to level up your heroes without getting massacred as quickly as you would on heroes v villains, but I was late to the party on campaign and man did I enjoy that mode.
I hop on the ps4 version here and there to this day. I’m sad Dice and EA have abandoned this game right as it was hitting it’s peak. I’m also sad that they did so to release the horrendous Bf2042 (I’m lifelong Battlefield fan as well so it was like witnessing a double murder). I wish someday (soon) EA and Dice decide to bring back support to this game. Or at the very least enable mod support for consoles
I recently started playing bf2042, because i avoided it when it came out based on gameplay I saw and because most people were saying it was really bad. Which I don’t doubt at all, I’m sure it’s in a much different state now than it was right when it released. But I have to say, I loaded it up for the first time expecting it to be horrible, figured I’d try it once and then delete it if it was that bad, but I actually really like it, both as a Battlefield game and just as an online fps game. I’ve been playing Battlefield games for a long time as well, and to me in its current state it feels like exactly what I would expect a modern BF4 to feel like. As far as I can tell, it essentially is a modern BF4. My only complaints about the game are that there should be a more good maps (there are some really good ones and then some average ones in my opinion), and the in game store. You can still some cool looking characters and weapon skins, but other than that it’s all in the store. And you can earn the in game currency from the battle pass without buying the battle pass, but basically it would take me the time of like three battle passes or something to eventually be able to buy one battle pass or like one cool character skin. So its like any other modern game in that sense, the in game store isn’t good. But other than that, the gameplay, it’s just a modern BF4. It’s actually smoother than BF4 because it’s basically just BF4 but updated. Doesn’t have the clunky ness of BF4 (love that game though). Anyways, just thought I’d comment to say, if it’s been a while since you’ve tried it, it’s worth checking out now if you’re a fan of Battlefield games. I’d say it basically got the Battlefront 2 treatment. Was not good on release, but through updates and what not, it’s now a really good game in my opinion. And even though I know there are some weirdos over at Battlefield Hq, I give credit to them for not releasing the same exact game every year and allowing it to be infested with cheaters, like cod. Long story short, tried BF2042 expecting to hate it, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it and how much it reminds me of BF4. I think if you’re a fan of fps games or older Battlefield games you (anyone) should try it now
I play on PS5 on N. America servers and lobbies are only really full during prime hours. From my experience, on weekdays, most galactic assault/supremacy games won't be full and there are often delays between games as players leave after each one and the game takes a minute to fill up the lobby. Ironically, BF2015 is still active on PS5, and I'd say its activity level is similar. Everyone still playing is tryhard ofc, but there's absolutely still a dedicated community there.
idk if this is just me, but me and my buddies returned to this game about a year and a half ago on steam through ea play. When I say we could not find any matches its not an understatement. No Supremacy, Galactic Assault, hero v villians. Nothing. We tried for over an hour.
It looks great, runs great on older hardware (100+ FPS on RTX 2060), has an IMO quality single-player campaign that takes place in the RotJ timeline, and the multiplayer is still alive (if not every mode). Co-op is awesome.
Why you SHOULDN’T buy Star Wars Battlefront 2 on PC -Hackers. EA was never great with swiftly dealing with them in the first place, now it’s taking even longer. Some are even hard to spot as there are mods to just give you subtle boost, such as reduced cooldown timer, slight aim assist , or minor damage increase hacks. As I play GA in recent months it’s been more and more common to find a hacker lobby and sometimes it takes a few lobbies just to find out without a hacker. HvV also has a hacker problem with many using reduced or no cool down hacks on abilities. I honestly don’t think I can recommend this game on PC for multiplayer.
I'm new(ish) to it. I played a few years ago on my son's Xbox. Just bought myself an Xbox and went straight for this. Online is always active so far, only game that wasn't was the Ewok hunt. Only tried it once though
I play it in XBox One most of the time and doesn't take long to join a server. I'm based in the Los Angeles area. Such an amazing game with UNLIMITED upgrades opportunities such as endless characters, planets/battles, etc... they should put out BF3!
I just tried to play both 1 and 2 on pc and online couldn't find servers, played 2 about 3 months ago on ps4 and its still just as fun when I bought it when it came out. But confused why pc didn't work online at all?
Play on Series X w/ GP, usually just HvV and never have a tough time finding matches during usual hours. If late hours then you may wait for a player or two for a couple minutes max. Coop is always instantly available.

I play on PC for the mods I run a lot of mods replacing characters I don’t like with ones I do for example… my Han is Din Djarin, Dooku is Darth Nihilus, Kylo is Revan, Palps is Darth Traya, Bosk is HK47 and a few others all with voicelines included and text edits all cosmetic but makes the game a lot cooler for me
I still play weekly on PS4 in Canada. No problems finding matches in the large scale. Smaller formats are iffy. Strike is pretty active but not anything starfighters - probably because of the terrible flight controls.
I still play 2015 on PS4 which is still quite active at weekends always a couple of lobbies on Walker Assault which I think is still the best game mode on all of the Battlefront's. But it's the maps on 2015 that keep me coming back time after time, they are so brilliantly designed which is what I thought BF2 lacked a little and I was born in 72 so the original Star Wars Trilogy means everything to me!❤❤❤
I'm on XBOX in Australia and I'm a night owl so I just switch server usually to one of the American servers, I don't have too much trouble getting Galactic Assault, Supremacy or Heroes vs Villains

Jumped on last Saturday morning and had a full server on my favourite map: Endor. Never have an issue finding a full lobby. Love paying instant action off line as well.
I can't wait for you all to see what's coming to Kyber and Battlefront Plus. The future is looking increasingly bright for Battlefront 2 on PC.

Love this game. In 2020 my friend and I reinstalled the game on Xbox in the US with fresh accounts. We played a lot of co-op so we could rank up our heroes as fast as possible. Never had issues finding a co-op game for any era. Once we maxed out all our heroes, we pretty much exclusively played hero showdown. Always able to find a game there. Game is still very much alive.
Im still currently playing on PS5, and every room is still packed - Canada
This game is so good, it’s caused me to waste a ton of money on other games that I have not played yet. I can’t stop playing this game and I would put down $100 easily all over again if my disc broke. I’m in Florida, the US, XBox, still get full lobbies almost instantly. Smaller modes like Blast and Extraction, only 15 - 30 seconds wait. Best of all, it’s the Star Wars universe and very faithful to it in sights and sounds.
something relatively unrelated but very strange to me is that EA put BF2 on steam after they stopped support, same with BF1, PVZ garden warfare 2, and battle for Neighborville, but NOT garden warfare 1, as far as im aware, thats the ONLY EA (PC)game that u cant buy through steam for whatever reason, and that bugs the hell out of me
I play on PS5 on the Virginia server in the US. I get into an HvV game almost instantly, any time of day or night. I also get into Strike/Extraction games all the time too. I rarely do larger game modes, but if I do, they are super easy to get into.
I will always love this game more than any other game I’ve ever owned. It’s not only been my favorite Star Wars game, but seriously it’s my all-time favorite game!
I’ve downloaded it a couple months. I’m horrendous at online except heroes vs villains. I seem to really be able to hold my own there and it’s honestly a fantastic game mode. I’d get it for thet mode alone
I play on PS4 every few weeks. Usually have no problem finding coop, HvV, showdown, galactic assault, and supremacy but those are the ones I usually search for.
I live in Belguim I usually find servers, sometimes even in starfighter assault. Everytime I come back to the game after a while it is incredible fun. I also would like to recommend the gameplay mods they can add a lot. I haven't been able to play a lot with friends but from the times I did it, it was incredible!
And some of the best graphics in a game still today. Playing this in 4K with max settings is absolutely insane. The details, sound and surroundings are incredible.
I play on PS and I always find games all modes tbh from Galactic assault down to Ewok hunt. It’s still very much alive for PS :) I’m actually hitting my friends up to runs some games tonight.

To help some people who are considering getting it, I'd recommend it, if you are from england or UK then it's generally pretty easy to find servers on console, I can't speak for other countries or platforms however

BF 2 is such a unique game because it’s an “old” game and yet it is a game that is still thriving today. You can get into full lobbies no matter what mode or console you play on.
i finally got a new pc from missing out from playing so many things for years. one of the first things i bought was star wars battlefront 2. no question. i feel like people who put uber amount of players offline/lan in the original battlefronts have a certain heart for this game. I genuinely think its a great game. sure they are missing some content. its still amazing, and plays exactly how i wanted it to be. people nitpick flaws too much. a lot of the greatest games have flaws. as a street fighter player myself. street fighter 3 is considered one of the best after so many years despite its hefty flaws.

I DID buy it... when it came out. This video made me want to experience it again but on my 4090 in 4k with graphics cranked I get garbled graphics, nothing I can do fixes it. Only game with this issue and I want to play but cant. DX11 or DX12 doesnt work properly. Im on windows 11... might be part of the issue if not many other people are having problems.
Unninstaled it around a year ago after I got bored by supremacy, didn't play GA because of the horrible balancing, toxic idiots not respecting 2v2 after saying yes to 2v2 in HS and constantly playing against toxic Vader+Palps+Iden+Phasma lobby tryhards in HVV.

As someone who actively plays on Xbox Battlefront 2, I can say that it is still alive. I mainly play Hero Showdown, so I might encounter the same people more often than I would way back then.
Honestly, Co-op vs AI is underrated. If they built a whole new game around it (kinda like Exoprimal) I would be on board for it.
On Xbox, all of the big core modes are instant in joining (Supremacy, GA, HvV, Co=Op). Ewok Hunt and Starfighter Assault are also pretty good in finding a server quickly. However the other smaller game modes are pretty much dead least for me. Ewok Hunt especially has seen a nice boost in players likely due to Halloween approaching.
Xbox is in a decent position as well since EA Play is included with GamePass Ultimate, so every EA Star Wars game is available.
I recently started playing in ps5 an I have never had to wait more than 10 seconds for a match
I play Xbox in Texas and it’s so so easy to find a game. I’m fixing to be a max Vader So I do play the game a lot but I didn’t start until around 2021. And let me tell ya it’s still a great game. One of the best multiplayer games out there if you give it a SHOT. I did and trust I don’t regret.
Still play this game to this day. Like you Elliot I take breaks from it, but I always come back…still grinding for 100% milestones and sometimes I just miss it, especially with mods :) I play on Xbox and PC, tho PC mainly for mods (which is a big reason to get it on PC, especially with it being so cheap). On Xbox, I can find games in practically every mode - I seriously can’t remember the last time I searched and didn’t find a game. It’s a little slow for smaller, less popular modes, but my friend and I still hop on Starfighter Assault and dominate near-full lobbies every so often. TLDR; BF2017 is still a thriving game with something for every SW fan, and with the passionate fans and mods still coming, there is literally no reason not to buy it.

When i first played the game in 2019 it was great i stopped playing in 2020 but now in 2023 i restarted playing it and every server is full the only problem is entering a specific suppremicy round but thats fine so especially in 2023 i totally recommend (wait for it to go on sale on steam if your broke)

I’m an og XBOX ONE preorder of the Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition in 2017 and it is still my favorite video game of all time. I still enjoy playing it from time to time. I’m in the eastern United States and always find lobbies in the popular modes.
Im on pc and its very easy to find supremacy age of the republic and HVV HSD and Blast mode its almost impossible tho to find Original Trilogy Games

Just redownloaded this game on ps5 and found out I have 678 hrs playable on the ps4 😅 last downloaded it in 2019 and to my surprise very much so still active multiplayer. The game has such a commited fan base and superb gameplay. Battlefront II will never die ig, and I’m very much so ok w that
Im playing on PC and im from Poland. Its quite easy to find servers but its not that easy to find servers that have the minimum player count. Most of them need 5-10 more players to start. And these servers take a very long time to fill up. Around 10-20 minutes. Heroes vs Villans are very easy to find, the problem is really inly with co op a dsupremacy. Sometimes i spend 5 minutes finding a server that Has the minimum player count to start. To sum it all up its hard to find a game
I don't spend a lot of time on multiplayer games, but I have put over 1500 hours into BF2, it's a really great game and a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I don't play it anymore because I've already spent many hours on it, and there are other games out there too, and it's kind of depressing to play it now. I miss waiting for updates, checking the subreddit, "CT when?" memes about the pizza guy, the mustard legion, the environmental clutter, some of the OP broken stuff like Palpatine shooting through walls until Dice killswitched him and fixed, launch Anakin etc :) btw the last time I played was a year ago and I played on EU PC servers and it was easy and fast to find matches in all main modes such as Galactic Assault, Supremacy and Heroes vs. Villains.
I’m from Europe, I play it mostly on weekends. It’s hard to find full matches sometimes can take 1-15 minutes to actually find a full lobby
I play on both PC and Xbox. Queue times are DEFINATELY faster on xbox any time of the day.(Central US based) Both queues pop under 5 min guranteed. May be sitting in a lobby for a few minutes waiting for others to join on pc, but they will. Dont leave games! ♥
I’ve had it on XBOX for a long time and it’s always an Okay time. When you find dudes that respect the 1v1’s in Heroes vs Villains, it’s a great time. I’ve always had a love for BF2 and I hate that the support was dropped for this game so soon after launch. It was not given the love it deserved.
I play on PC pretty much daily and always find full servers. I have never seen it dead. I always have fun, engaging games. The co-op mode reminds me of mass effect 3 online

Been playing the game for 3 months now on PC on EU servers. I have a lot of fun. And always is able to find games. Supremacy and Galactic Assault being the most popular.
Also a thing to throw out there is that leveling your heroes in co-op is always best on the weekends and Wednesdays. Every weekend is DOUBLE XP, and every Wednesday is TRIPLE XP. You will level your heroes and troopers very quickly!
the last time i tried to play Battlefront 2 there was a glitch where everyone was invincible and couldn't die and apparently it was a glitch that was in the game for a long time, im guessing that got fixed?
My best Star Wars experience was the Unleased 1 and 2. Now you can play it on PC in 4k, + Nvidia/Amd Controll Setting, + Maximum graphic setting, + 60 fps. And if you pay little bit for Mods you can play it with Raytracing. This Game look so awesome if i remember 2010 where i played.
I've been playing SWBF2 since the launch on console. Now I have it on my Ps5 with 704 hours game time, it's definitely still available to jump into the main game modes. Have to say it will always be my favorite game.
I have been playing battlefront since it's release. I play on PS4 and I'm from latinamerica. Currently I can only find games in co-op, all others game modes are impossible to find a match where I am not alone. I haven't played supremacy or galactic assault in many years. It's really frustrating.
Although, I still play the game a few times in a month and it's one of the best Star Wars games I've ever played. I recommend anyone who likes Star Wars to try this game, it's not going to disappointing

As someone who pre-ordered this game on xbox and currently plays on pc just for the mods, I can confirm that battlefront is still far from dead and I usually get into a game within 10 seconds.
I play on PS5 in the PNW region. Pretty easy to find a match during peak hours in most game modes, but I've noticed later in the evening, you'll be playing in lobbies that aren't full, especially in Blast
I been a member of COTR for almost a year the community is great, us milsims are keeping this game alive and well
still play all the time, still fun. still pretty sweaty but it was almost equally as sweaty during the live service. Its fun for casuals who dont care and just want star wars, and its fun for competitive gamers who want to learn to play and dominate any mode.
and about the steam thing, theres 1-5k players on steam daily (depending on the day and time) and steam is BY FAR the smallest platform. so yes the game is still alive.
how to find games easily: I find that the "quick match" feature is broken and only puts you in dead/broken GA lobbies that will never start. search the mode you want to que on virginia or germany servers depending on which you're closest to and there will ALWAYS be a match. other servers get matches too but they can be totally dead at some times of the day and in specific modes. For VA and germany theres pretty much matches in most gamemodes at any time of the day. And even if quick match throws you in a dead GA lobby, theres likely an active GA lobby that the game refuses to put you in unless you specifically que for GA, rather than using quick match. Not saying quick match never works, it works sometimes but not often

I play on Xbox almost everyday, and with Supremacy & Heroes vs. Villains I find a full server often, and with little to no wait. I think the game is very much alive.
I've been playing the game since launch, mostly on US servers, even though I am from Brazil, the brazilian servers were never populated enough.
I’ve played the game on PS4/PS5 since launch on european servers. Galactic Assault is the only mode I play. No problem finding games.
I play on PS4 and I find it very easy to play galatic assault, supremacy, Ewok hunt and basically every mode. I honestly think to say battlefront 2 is still alive and functioning very well
Bought the PS4 Edition back in December 2017, a very good game. A couple of years ago the disc broke and I just saw it today on Epic Games for about $4,79 and bought it. Cant wait
Be warned there's still a timed honored tradition of Leia players putting their shield directly in the flow of the enemy preventing you from shooting them.
Very easy to find games playing on PS5, just had a 2 hour Supremacy game yesterday where I had like 150 kills, & top player had 207 eliminations, so yea game definitely isn't dead and fun asf. Still manages to maintain that Star Wars charm after all these years.
I've owned the game since ps4 and i recently bought the celebration edition on my ps5 and I get into games immediately all the time! I still play quite regularly, but nowadays I usually hop on and play co-op.
I got it on launch on Xbox and played until a couple years ago when I got a PC. I tried to mod it and now it won't launch 😭
Game is alive and well even on PC on all main game modes. Mechanics are really solid and if you play a lot of Heroes vs Villains you get the sense this could've almost been a pro-league competitive game. The hero variety is great and gives you a very solid balance of strength so you can't just mow down the entire enemy team on shooter modes and never feel outclassed in HVV. Galactic assault is really really good. Most maps are really good. Its a great game.
Been around since pre order and I'm on xbox it's still alive, I can find games in almost every game mode except supremacy sequel trilogy.
I'm on PS4 and don't really have trouble finding games except for hero starfighters and ewok hunt, takes a little longer to get enough people but eventually I can get a few games in. The co-ops are great to level up your heroes without getting massacred as quickly as you would on heroes v villains, but I was late to the party on campaign and man did I enjoy that mode.
I hop on the ps4 version here and there to this day. I’m sad Dice and EA have abandoned this game right as it was hitting it’s peak. I’m also sad that they did so to release the horrendous Bf2042 (I’m lifelong Battlefield fan as well so it was like witnessing a double murder).
I wish someday (soon) EA and Dice decide to bring back support to this game. Or at the very least enable mod support for consoles

I recently started playing bf2042, because i avoided it when it came out based on gameplay I saw and because most people were saying it was really bad. Which I don’t doubt at all, I’m sure it’s in a much different state now than it was right when it released. But I have to say, I loaded it up for the first time expecting it to be horrible, figured I’d try it once and then delete it if it was that bad, but I actually really like it, both as a Battlefield game and just as an online fps game. I’ve been playing Battlefield games for a long time as well, and to me in its current state it feels like exactly what I would expect a modern BF4 to feel like. As far as I can tell, it essentially is a modern BF4. My only complaints about the game are that there should be a more good maps (there are some really good ones and then some average ones in my opinion), and the in game store. You can still some cool looking characters and weapon skins, but other than that it’s all in the store. And you can earn the in game currency from the battle pass without buying the battle pass, but basically it would take me the time of like three battle passes or something to eventually be able to buy one battle pass or like one cool character skin. So its like any other modern game in that sense, the in game store isn’t good.
But other than that, the gameplay, it’s just a modern BF4. It’s actually smoother than BF4 because it’s basically just BF4 but updated. Doesn’t have the clunky ness of BF4 (love that game though).
Anyways, just thought I’d comment to say, if it’s been a while since you’ve tried it, it’s worth checking out now if you’re a fan of Battlefield games. I’d say it basically got the Battlefront 2 treatment. Was not good on release, but through updates and what not, it’s now a really good game in my opinion. And even though I know there are some weirdos over at Battlefield Hq, I give credit to them for not releasing the same exact game every year and allowing it to be infested with cheaters, like cod.
Long story short, tried BF2042 expecting to hate it, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it and how much it reminds me of BF4. I think if you’re a fan of fps games or older Battlefield games you (anyone) should try it now
I play on PS5 on N. America servers and lobbies are only really full during prime hours. From my experience, on weekdays, most galactic assault/supremacy games won't be full and there are often delays between games as players leave after each one and the game takes a minute to fill up the lobby.
Ironically, BF2015 is still active on PS5, and I'd say its activity level is similar. Everyone still playing is tryhard ofc, but there's absolutely still a dedicated community there.

idk if this is just me, but me and my buddies returned to this game about a year and a half ago on steam through ea play. When I say we could not find any matches its not an understatement. No Supremacy, Galactic Assault, hero v villians. Nothing. We tried for over an hour.
It looks great, runs great on older hardware (100+ FPS on RTX 2060), has an IMO quality single-player campaign that takes place in the RotJ timeline, and the multiplayer is still alive (if not every mode). Co-op is awesome.
I play on xbox in the US and I find game so easily, I don't have much trouble finding straighter assault matches which is crazy

Why you SHOULDN’T buy Star Wars Battlefront 2 on PC
-Hackers. EA was never great with swiftly dealing with them in the first place, now it’s taking even longer. Some are even hard to spot as there are mods to just give you subtle boost, such as reduced cooldown timer, slight aim assist , or minor damage increase hacks. As I play GA in recent months it’s been more and more common to find a hacker lobby and sometimes it takes a few lobbies just to find out without a hacker. HvV also has a hacker problem with many using reduced or no cool down hacks on abilities. I honestly don’t think I can recommend this game on PC for multiplayer.
I'm new(ish) to it. I played a few years ago on my son's Xbox. Just bought myself an Xbox and went straight for this. Online is always active so far, only game that wasn't was the Ewok hunt. Only tried it once though
I play it in XBox One most of the time and doesn't take long to join a server. I'm based in the Los Angeles area. Such an amazing game with UNLIMITED upgrades opportunities such as endless characters, planets/battles, etc... they should put out BF3!

Play on Series X w/ GP, usually just HvV and never have a tough time finding matches during usual hours. If late hours then you may wait for a player or two for a couple minutes max. Coop is always instantly available.

I play on PC for the mods I run a lot of mods replacing characters I don’t like with ones I do for example… my Han is Din Djarin, Dooku is Darth Nihilus, Kylo is Revan, Palps is Darth Traya, Bosk is HK47 and a few others all with voicelines included and text edits all cosmetic but makes the game a lot cooler for me
I still play weekly on PS4 in Canada. No problems finding matches in the large scale. Smaller formats are iffy. Strike is pretty active but not anything starfighters - probably because of the terrible flight controls.
PC - NA - All modes aside from hero starfighters and blast take less than a minute to find a server
I still play 2015 on PS4 which is still quite active at weekends always a couple of lobbies on Walker Assault which I think is still the best game mode on all of the Battlefront's. But it's the maps on 2015 that keep me coming back time after time, they are so brilliantly designed which is what I thought BF2 lacked a little and I was born in 72 so the original Star Wars Trilogy means everything to me!❤❤❤
