- Sauron's plan is so good, it changed my life. This master manipulator has no idea what is going on around him at all times and is surrounded by silly people. A sad show filled with terrible writing and characters.

Galadriel rather manipulated him. She is the main villain.
Saoron is my by far the fav character in this show. At least he has a goal and is achieving checkpoints.
He’s charismatic and fun to watch. Hope he wins.
Show Sauron never had to do anything.
The Elves are leaving, because they are suddenly all dying.
The Dwarves don't seem to care what's happening outside their caves.
Men are so pathetic in the show.
The Orcs are executing his plan to light up Mount Doom whatsoever.

In the books the elves aren't dying without the rings. In the show they made the changes for no good reason and wrote themselves into a laughable corner.
@@eugene8498 yes I mean the books and they are taking liberty, but they’re still following the skeleton of it. I wasn’t saying it as a critique just discussing the show and the material a.k.a. books. They got me through a difficult time. I might have already said I think it’s funny everybody is making fun of the show. I still watch it because I’m a nerd for the stuff and I’ll take what I can get, willing to do it that way on like I said, his greatest evil and Pharzon was bad but his ego took Sauron hostage and Sauron had the ring and against them to make human sacrifices by burning people alive, burning the tree of Gondor only it was not Gondor, and that literally brought wrath saying that brought more guys down upon them and it fell into the sea like the vision in the show so if they’re doing it that way, but I wouldn’t be bringing back there’s five season he even have a ring yet

@@Rawnervzz What RoP has left is a twisted and fractured skeleton that's deformed from a horse to an alien from Alien. Such a downgrade from the source. The Numenoreans are so weak in this, they hate the elves not because they are too proud to accept mortality, but because the elves take their job! I watch it to mock it. I'm glad people are having fun, in whatever way.

And they’re talking about diversity, but they have a wizard in the east and they cast the white guy. Finally they can fulfill their diversity quoted without fucking it up and they fuck it up believe me I understand but the new one. W Durin high on ring crank what besides that it was paced and engaging and I hope they learn from it if the show is going to continue, but it’s still funny

Thank you for doing this lol, Throughout the entire show, both my husband and I couldn’t help but wonder how could anyone be satisfied or possibly enjoy it. It came across as a last minute, poorly improvised production.. lets just put random scenes and events stitched together to hit the one-hour mark. Seriously calling it garbage might even be too kind.

There are countless talented writers who get their scripts refused every day. Hollywood is utterly corrupt. Corporate entertainment is the death of art.
This show was designed as rage bait…I have insider knowledge…once you understand that it’s supposed to (subtly) piss you off (while being *technically* lore accurate [but not really]) then it all makes sense :)
Writer's room: what if we do a new take on Sauron as a character. We'll deconstruct his character and delight audiences with what makes this truly formidable villain tick. And there's a twist! It will turn out that Sauron wasn't actually very talented at the manipulations he was known to be talented at. It's all a story about him. He's actually more of an aimless wanderer who struggles to get what he wants, which is why he has to make these rings eventually - finally people will listen to him once he has this power over flesh. But... Get this! Sauron actually also has very little agency as a character. He's highly suggestible because he's aimless. He's like a leaf blowing wherever the winds take him. An antagonist with very little agency who is just shaped by others and by coincidence and circumstances - it's a brilliant idea!
Pretty much every video about this show brings up something new stupid thing that all the other videos haven't mentioned yet.
I wonder how long a video it would be to list all the problems with this show...

I just still can't get past how the elves do not look or act like elves. They look just like humans. The writing is atrocious. The characters are horrible (particularly Galadriel, Gil Galad, Celebrimbor, and Isildur). Sauron is not even a major threat. The Numenoreans don't look or behave like Numenoreans. The lore has been gutted, the timeline has been ignored, and the sequence of events has been completely messed up. Even their original characters, who they had the most room to develop in an interesting way, are some of the most inconsequential or just bad and annoying/stupid ones (I'm looking at you Harfoots and Theo). Even the costumes are terrible. How is the production on this show $1bill?? This looks like a Uwe Boll project..

I think the whole show is a sad excuse for milking money off of lotr, how the writers and actors constantly failing in their roles seriously what a bunch of clowns. Theres no logical transitions Inbetween scenes, no sense of time frame, no clear timeline, no character development so characters lack depth and growth.
I absolutely agree with you its very frustrating, key events happen without explanation, it's a challenge to engage with it and fully understand the narrative. it hard to digest.. like why is she not doing anything ? how can celebcucumber be so stupid ? Why are we not seeing how the rings are forged ? ITS ABOUT THE RINGS!! its not like its mysterious, its just poorly written!
Such a Stepdown. They're basically shitting on Tolkien's legacy. The depth and nuance that made his work timeless are completely absent, its a shallow interpretation that feels like a disservice to the complex world he created. Disappointing and truly a lame shame

now that I think bout it, as a maia -angelic being- he uses a physical form to interact with the world... why did he turned into a black slime after being stabbed? he's a fire spirit after all, disembodied flame would make more sense

I've studied film and television for over 15 years and this show takes the crown for the worst script I've ever come across. But it's even worse than that: it's boring too

When he saw it, h hated their power so much. It literally put him back to his old self fuck bringing order. I’m gonna bring this place down and sacrifice one of his abilities to do it. It’s really important to the story, including Lord of the rings that’s why the heir to numenor rose to be basically his nemesis.
I’m sure they won’t do it exactly that way, but I think they will do it to some degree

Did they change the actor that plays Sauron?
He had a different look before the orcs killed him, so he was temporarily played by a different actor. The actor playing Adar has changed.

There is unrest in the city because Galadriel forced Sauron and the Queen to go to war (she decided he was King for some reason and the Queen just went along with it). Eärien started the coup because she accidentally stumbled upon the palantír. Pharazôn became king because a random eagle appeared. It would have been incredible if Sauron had been in the city manipulating people all the time instead of all this silliness. His contribution to the fall of Númenor will probably be very limited, like his involvement in the forging of the rings. He didn't really start any of it, everything just magically falls into place for him.
