The T line isn't new. It's just an option because everyone was pissed that the 2015 models came with the novelty G Force tuning system, and that the warranty would be void if you replaced the system with regular tuners.
Bought the same model only in Ebony. No problems with quality, tone or anything else people seem to complain about. Price....well you get what you pay for. And if you think you can get the same tone from an Epi, it's because you're tone deaf.
Just bought this in trans Amber! My first standard, I love all my studios but I think I'm hooked on standards! Best tone I've ever heard in a Gibson! XD /,,/
Chris P. Bacon Some comments have been removed. You obviously don't understand what we were talking about. By the way, I'm 25, Columbo. Don't embarrass yourself.
if i had to bet on either line it would be the Traditional line because everyone goes after the gibson we all fell in love with and the "latest greatest gibson technology" its incredibly experimental most of the time. sometimes the features are helpful but the gforce tuning system was a mistake. they work for 6-8 months then wear out and if your smart you go and buy the Gibson Keystone locking tuners. Traditional all the way for me.
+Dont Fuck With Me! Look for the sales and the down pricing, I have seen it differ by 400 dollars at Guitar Center on certain models, you have to watch them go down, and then I think they take them out. What they do with those I would love to know.....good deals are out there, you have to shop around.
install means you need a drill, because I see no holes in the guitar... oh man this makes it more expensive, when you have no skills to do this and no drill and you have to bring it to a guitar repair shop, just to get 2 holes ....
+Dakota Duarte Go back and watch what he said in the beginning about how Gibson is launching the T or traditional series (What everyone wants and will buy) and the modern series or whatever which is like the 2015 models which sucked
Joey Brasler ? I've been playing the Cherie & Marie Currie album for years, some great playing on that album, with Joey credited alongside Steve Lukather & Michael Landau (dreadful video though, lol !!) Thanks for the music
Did you just hear a popping sound? I think Gibson just pulled it's #%&@ out of it's @$$. Now if it could get rid of the title "Traditional,"" what's that? Isn't that what got everyone confused to begin with?
The FACTORY Set up on Gibson Guitar seem to get worse every year. They are stiff and the action is feels like it was built to sell at Walmart...COME ON Gibson....get it together PLECK OR Not? It just sucks!
I bought one, They sound, play and look outstanding, Love it !! :)

I have a standard from 2016 and its amazing
What a beautiful guitar
This guy is incorrect in stating that the "T" or Traditional line comes with vintage tuners. They actually come with Grover Locking Tuners.

Great guitar, I think this will be a great year for Gibson made the way we like them
+Doug J It's the whole 'classic coca cola' sales trick. It's a way to trick dumb people into buying products when sales are dwindling.
+ouncy Yeah. I definitely wasn't going to buy a 2016 Gibson because I can't afford one. But now I have to ??
David Oakes Are you trying to call yourself dumb? Congratulations, you succeeded.
+ouncy So you call people dumb for wanting this guitar? Sounds to me like you're just a bitter old man and can't afford one.

2016 Gibson got it right!
It comes with the pickguard in the case for those who may like it you can install it.
Josh Smith hell of the player!!!!)))
Is the mahogany triple A too?
I bought mine new from GC, love it!
WHICH amp did you use?
Hi, looking for gibson lespaul with no weight relief which model (traditional, standard etc) and years would have that? cheers
Opinions? Should I purchase a newer Gibson Les Paul or a standard Les Paul Traditional?
have they always had burstbuckers, or is this new in 2016?
+Ray Rivera I had an early 2000's model, maybe an 04? I can't remember, it had the Burstbuckers in it. They sounded freaking fantastic!
the,ve had them since at least 2000 in the standard models, before that they where the 57 classic......
any news of a left handed model coming with the 2016 lineup?
+cross we can only hope! all lefty fingers crossed!
What does the “T” stand for. Tel toid nut, tunomatic bridge, flame top, tribute?
traditional
I have a standard, it was $600, I don’t regret my purchase.
Would we say this guitar's neck is closer to a 50's or a 60's?
Hi, the neck width is 50 or 59?
Is that one better then the 2015 sprint run les paul standard model?
It is.
What about the g force tuner? U like it or no? Is the wider neck much wider? Is it uncomfortable?

what song is he playing?
What color is that?
so how much are the standard Gibsons cost? from what I know they are expensive :(

What happen to all those 2015 line up !!!!
LOL
You can get em cheap now. The 2015s
pickups?
Does it come with a pickguard?
+Nope Your name answers your own question.
xd
+Nope It does actually come with a pickguard uninstalled.
Yes it does comes with the pickguard inside the case, you just have to install it
install means you need a drill, because I see no holes in the guitar... oh man this makes it more expensive, when you have no skills to do this and no drill and you have to bring it to a guitar repair shop, just to get 2 holes ....
Me thinks the guy playing guitar in this vid is the great Josh Smith....
Yea I think u r correct. I recognize his tatoos. Good eye.
Make sure you check, check and double check anything you buy from GC. Fuckers have a nasty habit of selling open box/used items as new.
what the hell does the T stands for?
+Dakota Duarte He said right at the beginning. Traditional.
standard traditional? what the fuck?
+Dakota Duarte Go back and watch what he said in the beginning about how Gibson is launching the T or traditional series (What everyone wants and will buy) and the modern series or whatever which is like the 2015 models which sucked
So there's a standard traditional and also ones that's just a traditional?
my dream guitar
Who's playing?
Someone please tell me what the T means. Thanks
Smitty traditional
Joey Brasler ? I've been playing the Cherie & Marie Currie album for years, some great playing on that album, with Joey credited alongside Steve Lukather & Michael Landau (dreadful video though, lol !!) Thanks for the music
Maybe the perfect guitar
+dentedfender7 No 57's, weight relieved. No ta.
Who's playing the guitar?
Josh Smith
it aint joe bonamassa thats for sure
Why yo dont put the circle in te 2017 and the 2018 lose price
Just bought the standard new for just over 23, including the tax. Phone haggle, coupon stacking, etc.....
Why is it called a standard "T"?
It's standard traditional. gibson with the 2015 specs (wider neck, brass nut, minituners) would be known as standard modern I believe
It's a pretty amazing guitar, except Gibson gotta work on their set up skills, the action is a bit high
i love gibson)
У меня такая только12 год👍👍🇷🇺❤️❤️
I honestly think gibson shouldn't use grover locking tuner it doesn't look so good
I'll take it. Need my address?
+Jason Wooten your second in line after me :)
JOEY BRASSLER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful guitar. Way overpriced. End of story.
jgtheman84 You thought they were over priced then - check out the prices of the new 2019 Range
My 2016 was worth every dollar.
Panic42000 100% mate. Mine too. And now they seem like a bargain compared to the new 2019 Prices
@@Panic42000 how much was it?
Did you just hear a popping sound? I think Gibson just pulled it's #%&@ out of it's @$$. Now if it could get rid of the title "Traditional,"" what's that? Isn't that what got everyone confused to begin with?
Guitar Center has the worst customer service in San Antonio, Texas...Sam Ash has better service...
The FACTORY Set up on Gibson Guitar seem to get worse every year. They are stiff and the action is feels like it was built to sell at Walmart...COME ON Gibson....get it together PLECK OR Not? It just sucks!
nice tattoo
Still aint worth no $2800.
+L. Skynyrd Doesn't cost that much if you go to the right place for heaven's sake.
