Even though this isn't explicitly made for falling asleep to, it's what I use to fall asleep everyday lol. Ever since I listened to this instead of music I've rested a lot better
Lovely Meditation! I am my body experience; even the raisin has an umbilical cord through which vitamins are served from the earth. Similarly, we also received from the mother earth!
It helps that you said just experience the experience no judgement. I would’ve ended the video in 5 minutes already because my mind was all over and was dosing in an out but I was reminded no judgment an went back to meditation. Thank you looking forward to the program
Amazing. My fingers feel totally as I type this message, after going through this meditation. It was not easy for me to stay with it through the entire time - but I did it and feel good about it. I know it will get easier and easier. Thank you.
So grateful for this practice. THANK YOU. I notice that in week 1 there is reference to other formal practices for week 1. Do I do the body scan AND also try another practice? Or is it either or and?
Hi Joyce! In week 1, you would do the Raisin Meditation one day and Body Scan the others. As an added option, you can do any one of the live zoom meditations on one of the days (instead of, not in addition to the regular meditation for that day). See palousemindfulness.com/practice/week1-formal.pdf
I’m battling falling asleep the whole time. I get too relaxed and keep wanting to fall asleep. Especially during the quiet moments. I’m keeping one forearm up as it’s suggested for this but I still struggle with my mind wanting to go into sleep mode 😬
1:04 are we starting? So far demarcation points in this program have been challenging. I've spent most of my time (couple weeks) trying to sort through the extensive material for trying to piece together blocks of information so I can get some sort of order. Now I'm on my first exercise and we went from do's or don'ts and how-to's and with no notice, into the meditation. I'm a minute in before I realized I'm supposed to be lying down!!! I thought when I finally got to the "exercises" there would be a much clearer direction. I was confused when I got here and guess what...
Given that the body scan is the first meditation, we give much more instruction about setting up the meditation - sorry that was disturbing for you. We do say, about 25 seconds in, that it is usually done lying down.
Thanks for making this course available online for free.

My psychologist referred to their site and asked to follow body scan. Hope it helps
In general this is very good but remember people are different patience is key for this exercise . stating the obvious always helps .

Me too! I fell asleep. I'm going to try it sitting upright tomorrow.
Thank you
