Hi al, great work, I am a gas engineer! May I suggest that you refer to the instructions that came with that gas burner, I have one, please tweak the bolts underneath, and you will be able to get pure blue flames and a lot more heat, it does not help that the instructions were translated from Chinese into Russian into polish and then into English, kind regards tim
@@AlsKitchen cheers Al. I’ve got 4 Birmingham Balti Bowls 2 brand new and 2 I’ve done about 5 Baltic in so getting a nice season and starting to get patina affect on them. Might buy 2 of Shabab’s too🤔😂😂👍
Thanks very much Al, great video, I think that I prefer your talking through the videos, especially the taste test. I have been a suscriber for a while now and have watched all of your videos. There is no doubt you are both passionate about what you do and a very good chef, you break everything thing down so it is easy to follow. Thank you once again.
Al I cannot get the Pataks Tandoori Marinade until next week, That is the only ingredient I am missing, could I use Tandoori masala spice instead? If not I will stick with my trusted Shababs Balti until I can get the paste.
Amazon have started doing it. About £12 for 3 bags of it, makes 6 curries. You can freeze it for 6 months. I also make my own but handy to have it you can't always be bothered
I cooked this last night and it was very nice. Although I need to fine tune it, I think the biggest improvement up to now in this style of cooking, for me, was getting a couple of karahi dishes. I have an aluminium pan, but the karahi dish allows it to cook a bit better as it falls back to the centre of the dish a bit like a wok 👍
Hi Al, just made this in my Birmingham Balti pot, and Wow, absolutely delicious Thank you, So I've been using your mixed powder for years now and I decided for a change without any luck, how about doing a video on another tried and tested mixed powder, once again thank you for all your hard work you put into your channel.
That looked absolutely yummy al. I've always used your base gravy recipe from years ago. Brilliant. I've got all the Birmingham balti pans but can't get the heat like your great burner al. 😪
Love the fact that you’re mixing up the video formats 👌🏻 For something like this, you could title it “Chicken jalfrezi balti - cooked in real time” That might attract some potential new viewers.
Great silent vid, love it. Tbh I'm dubious these pinches late do anything at all, the meal is done. A fennel seed that late will be hard, its a gimmick for me that bit. Great overall! 😃
Recording a curry up close isn't new. I much prefer hosting my full length shows. But, there is an audience for this kind of simple and super easy peasy production style.
Check out my NEW SPICE range. Save yourself time and effort and buy them in. Bassar Mix Powder bit.ly/3CSfeBf

Thx Tim
Tim, you absolute legend. 🍺
Reminds me of tweaking a Bunsen burner.
How do you adjust the bolts?
@@vegasandbeyond20 turn out let’s in more, flames go blur, turn in, less air flames go yellow, it’s a black art, kind regards Tim
So simple; but equally not if don't get it!
Superb stuff 👍👏😛
Was I the only one to be wondering when will the plastic bottle will melt 😂 I will try this Al
No 😁
You’ve transformed my curries Al. Great job👍👏👏
Are the Shabab’s balti bowls larger than those from the Birmingham Balti Co? They do look slightly bigger to me🤔
They are slightly bigger in diameter and slightly thinner.

@@stevenobrien3763. I was curious about the diameter of the bowl too. I'm glad that you asked the question! 👍
Yess Al,
Think I will skip the gas burner…it looks to scary for me….but the curry looks fab!
THE ONLY DISAPOINTING THING WAS WITH ALL THAT WIND AL WE NEVER GOT TO SEE YOUR WIG GETTING BLOWN OFF
Recipe number 2 and an absolute banger again! Al, you're a legend

Looks amazing, prefer when you talk us through personally 👍🍺
I noticed your cooking oil bottle appears to be melting 🙂
I NEED one of those burners! ;D
Buying 1 and affording to turn it on is another story 🤣
Fantastic-looking curry in under 8 minutes! And if you still have gusty winds maybe cut back on the onions 😆
That’s tomorrow’s tea sorted
Wow.... that's a lot of cooking oil your using Al, I don't know if I can afford this one.

great video AL and the curry looked amazing lovely colour to it im glad you dident touch the handles🤣
I’m off to my local DIY for a 3 ring gas burner
Your wife now makes you cook outside, I bet the neighbours are hungry :)
Lol, no mess
Excellent
oh mate wish you lived next door to me.
👍💜👍💜🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Can you buy base gravy from anywhere.? Because its only me who loves curry .I have bought a shed to cook your loverly curry lol
Much better to make your own though.
Why the idiot "lol"?????
Make it your self very easy , don’t think you can buy and it would not be as good as home made 😊
Many thanx I give it ago

Too much smoke cooking inside. Didn't you see the first video lol 😂
Keeping it real in real time x YNWA
Nice work Al. You need a wind break my friend. Ever heard of a Lamb Rara? Nice curry with mince and chunks.
I made this earlier and it turned out to be one of the best curries that I've made ! Thanks for the recipe Al !
Least you could do is put some trousers on 🙈
Making this meal when my balti bowl arrives from zaf!
Al NEVER disappoints. Thank you again 😁

I love these Al. Impossible to cook indoors without an industrial sized extractor. 😀

Love your style of cooking 👍👍👍👍👍😎
Have to admit it, looks so tasty. however I can't stand peppers in curry, Jalfrezi is not my taste but Al makes it look so edible!
My Missus is the same, cannot eat peppers at all, so just add extra onion or swap with mushrooms, same outcome at the end.
Looks fab , will defo give it a try, only problem is can't get the shababs email address to work ? Any ideas

Could do with a wind break around that flame 👍
top drawer as per usual Al, stevie and debs
