Hi, Danny. I've been the Shababs twice. Its 100 miles for me from Preston but I can honestly say it's worth it. P/s you can take your own beer into the restaurant. You've just got to love it.
@@nick1635 To be fair Nick the Balti Triangle was not the only thing that took me to Birmingham. Believe it or not I took my family there for a weeks holiday. I know it makes no sense. But we enjoyed it so much we went back for another weeks break a year later. The Balti Triangle has been on my foody hit list for years. Its almost an urban legend now to hear of a restaurant you can take your own beer to, that has a sheet of glass on the table with the menu beneath it and serve curries in the pan they were cooked in. I had to see and taste this. And go back for more.
cj Yes I enjoyed my week in Brum and I've been back a couple of times since. The first time I went for a week was August 2020. With the pandemic it was hard to find a holiday in the uk. So we thought outside the box. I found I could stay at the Premier Inn for £40 a night, that combined with the 50% off eat out to help out deal ment I could live like a king for peanuts. There's plenty to do in Birmingham if you know where to go, here's a few places we went. Sealife centre, the Back to Back houses, Birmingham library (it's the largest library inn Europe), more canals than Venice if you fancy a wall, great views from Pierre Whites restaurant at the top of the Cube hotel. The list goes on. I know it might not be what you would expect for a holiday destination but there's plenty to do for a week away.
Great review again 👍👍, proud brummie and i love a balti. ( Azim's, Lozells Rd is my favourite 👌😋). Shababs looks lovely as well 👌. Come on though Danny, you don't need a fork, use ya naan bread ☺☺ Proper balti dishes as well. 👌

Visited this restaurant a few weeks after the Hairy Bikers visited and recommended the restaurant, both my wife and I thought the curries were "bog standard" and nothing special, far better ones in Birmingham. Think all restaurants pull out all the stops if they know the videos are going to be posted on social media or on Tv.
First and only time we tried it and it was tasty but not special. It needed to be for the prices. Couldn’t get the heat right when l asked for curry to be hot there was really no heat- that’s really a basic thing to be able to get right
