    Hi thank you for walking us through the image r and lightburn process, can I just ask, when I click preview in lightburn, it doesn’t show the image, if I unclick pass through the image is visible in the preview window, is this normal if you use the passthrough button?

    Great video, I have a xtool D1 pro 20W and I'd love to know the settings for that please?
    Because I'm in Australia the settings and media used are always different :(

    Looks Great I just got my D1 about 2 weeks ago I followed your example on same pic and the preview said it would take 47hr 22min and 32 sec any idea what i could be doing wrong. Thanks.

      Mine did the same. When I put the pic in lightburn it showed spd/pwr at 3000/100, time est=5:30:31. at his settings it was 328:35:28. I'm learning too.

      you are probably using mm/m, that's minute while he is using mm/s. If you set there 3000 mm/min you will have the same speed. assumption from my end

    Hi there…thank you for this video..very helpful, and it did turn out great! Not sure if I missed it, however what wattage is your laser? I have a 20W, so would have to adjust the settings accordingly.

    nice ! just wondering , on mine( same laser and using LB) 2 things, how long did your take,and when i put in 245 DPI it shows .003937 in line interval ? how do you get yours showing 254 with .100 ? im new if you couldn't tell .Thanks

    Wow that come out amazing can I ask what Is it glass or plastic mirror What speed and power did you run it at because I did want one it didn't come at that well

      David. I set it to 50 speed and 60 power. Turn off the air assist and enable pass through mode if you used Imagr to process your image.

      I think she may have been asking did you clean the face of the mirror prior to etching, and not so much of did you clean the back! Of course you did after you etched the image. 😁🛫

    I’m trying to engrave an image on wood, but when I start it generates this error message and stops:
    G-code words consist of a letter and a value. The letter was not found.
    Can someone help me???

    I noticed that image-r was set to 300 lpi, but when you put the image into lightburn the layer was set to 254 lpi and pass through. What happens when the lpi of your image doesn't match the lpi of your layer when using pass through mode? It hurts my brain... Thanks for the video. I enjoy engraving mirrors!

      Sorry for the late response. Lightburn does it’s own auto for images. As long as you prepared the image the way you want, whatever lightburn does won’t affect the dpi much

      12 by 12 mirror from lowes. Get the absolute cheap ones

    Tried this out, but had a couple hiccups. I used your settings and same mirror glass from lowes, however when mine finished, there was still a layer or the reddish orange paint layer underneath the gray layer and light wouldn’t come thru. I ended up getting the orange layer off with lacquer thinner without affecting the overall design and light comes thru now. Have you had this happen before?

      @@laserrookie I have learned that some mirrors use a plastic type membrane to hold the mirror glass to together rather than making a lot of skinny shards if the glass was comprised as in breaking. That could be the issue.😁🛫

      Hi. Unfortunately I don’t make those for sale, but there are a lot of vendors on ETSY that custom make and sell some really good ones. They cost around $200.

    Why not flip the mirror so the reflection part is to the LED side to increase the light power???

      You risk reflecting the laser beam back at the diode that is generating the beam and this could damage your laser. 😁🛫

    I followed your work through and the print was looking amazing until it just stopped halfway through. It showed no errors or anything, the time was still running, but the laser just stop moving. Anybody have this issue before? Solutions?

      I discovered my computer was updating and that caused my burn to stop. I then instructed the computer to update only in the early morning when not being used.

      Could be laser needed to pause and cool down, my Atomstack 5w has done that.

      More likely the sleep setting in your computer paused the output of the computer sense the CPU ( Processor) did not see any inputs such as key strokes of mouse movement. I ran in to this with MS Flight Simulator if the airplane was on autopilot for an extended time based on the setting of sleep mode or hibernation settings.😁🛫
