Suspect Shoots and Wounds One W Madison & South 12th Avenue Downtown Phoenix

At approximately 9:45 pm on Friday, Phoenix Police and Fire Rescue responded to reports of a shooting near a homeless shelter called Key Campus at South 12th Avenue and W Jefferson Avenue. When officers arrived they found one occupant from a sedan just east of the location with multiple shell casings around the passenger's side of the vehicle. Phoenix firefighters and medics transported at least one person of unknown gender and age to a local hospital. It is unclear what led up to this shooting. Phoenix Police currently have South 12th Avenue between West Jefferson and West Madison shut down for their investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
