Follow my natural hair morning routine to see how I refresh my afro and moisturize my natural hair in the morning. I use products like melanin haircare, amalise beauty, shea moisture and as I am to moisturize my type 4 natural hair in the morning. When I am wearing my fro, I do not retwist my hair at night so I like to make sure it is moisturized when I do my morning routine. I received a few comments on how I maintain my natural hair and how I moisturize my natural hair so I hope this video answers those questions!

I use conditioner mixed with oil to moisturizer my fro and pink lotion to seal. My fro be poppin shine and curls when it dry completely.

After I finish braiding my hair i take vinegar and shampoo and put a plastic bag over my hair and have it sit for about 10-20 mins and then rinse it out to take the chemicals out
I love wearing my afro but moisture makes it shrink up. It seems to stretch more when it's dry.

I take conditioner than dry it with a towel and then use a sponge
use a tshirt and scrunch your hair instead, since drying it with a towel will give hella split ends.

Help! How do you deal with the tangling and therefore breakage from having it out in a fro? Is regularly wearing a fro helpful in length retention I know it's low manipulation but.. ? I'm trying to love myself as I am and take a break from the other hair I put on life and I'm lazy so I was thinking I could just do a fro everyday but the tangling scares me.
A fro isn’t a protective style per say because your hair is exposed and the ends can rub against things. It’s also not low manipulation because you have to touch it and fluff it every day. I don’t ONLY wear protective styles I actually barely wear them. This video is showing what I do not what you have to do. My hair doesn’t get more or less tangled in any particular style. I have wash day every 2-3 weeks and detangle then.

Does your hair tangle up a lot when you do this style? I love it but I'm afraid to get tangles.
My hair used to tangle like crazy when I wore it in a fro. But now I coat the ends with a little oil and wear a satin bonnet. There are still some tangles, but it's gotten much better. Hope this helps.
Section it in 4 then brush the ends and add moisture like she did
