FYI, Timeless Lotus is a legendary, meaning the legend effect comes in destroying one of them. cards like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces disable the legend rule. i would suggest adding him in since he can copy Jodah giving double legend cascades as well as double buffs.
Absolutely absurd deck. That simulated play you did was bonkers good. By turn 6, you had like 100+ plus like 20 mana ramp. Yeah, i'm buiding this Jodah.
simulated plays are fun in the way that you're able to see if the deck is even good or just straight up can't build up a good board state when left alone. they do NOT simulate a real game by any means. if you cast Jodah, he is likely to immediately get countered, removed, or you'll get targeted. there is no way a Jodah would survive more than one turn in a good playgroup. the whole deck is too dependent on him, there is no real strategy other than "goodstuff" and with him removed the deck is 10 times weaker
I love Jodah so much, he has quickly become my favorite commander. You forgot that with The Great Henge, you also draw a card whenever a non token creature ETB on your side, so you were actually drawing even way more cards. I don’t like playing the X spells in my deck because cascading into one always feels bad. I do like running legendary creatures who also make legendary tokens, because then Jodah makes all your creatures that much more huge. 2 that I like that I don’t see many people running are Tolsimir, Friend to Wolves and Stangg.
There are so many vastly under 5-color commander cards. With that many multi color spells, Widespread Thieving becomes OP. Ramp, color fixing, treasure synergies, and a free spell. If you can blink it, it’s out of control. It has won me so many games and no one ever bats an eye at it.
Did I miss something that gives haste, to the whole table? Esika gives an activated ability of tap for mana... if none of them had haste, then everything on the Esika turn was technically illegal...

I’m curious, I feel like these three cards would do really well Gaddock Teeg and Grand arbiter Agustin and least, but not last Lavinia Azorius renegade. I would love to hear feedback.
@@vex_mtg animar has its nuances. Even with this really fun morph deck I’m running it feels likes it’s missing something. Which I why I came to you, I love the way you build your decks. @@vex_mtg it really is, I have like 4 ways to tutor him out. And most of the creatures in the deck is legendary hence the name. Completely catches Opponents off guard. It gives me similar vibes of my 1st sliver deck.
It works that way because Jodah’s ability isn’t technically cascade, tho it functions very similarly. So they might have changed the ruling for cascade, but Jodah’s ability is unique to him so that old interaction still works.
whatever rocco’s total cmc is (x’s value plus red white green) will be seen by jodah, so if x is 5, then jodah will see rocco as an 8 cmc legendary creature
Minsc and Boo (Planeswalker) is better than Minsc because he can recreate Boo after Boo dies. Tolsimor Wolfblood is better than Drizzt because you can continually remake Voja.

Harmonic prodigy too to double jodah’s, and sakashima if on the field copying Jodah, legend cascade
I came here to suggest the same thing and comment on the timeless lotus.

This deck plays as absurd as it looks on my video, it's quite fun and really powerful!

the X counts as a 0 in converted mana cost, so almost every spell with X will do absolutely nothing when you cascade into it...
@@felity1773 yeah, that’s why I don’t play them in my deck.
As long as you’re playing nonlegendary X spells you don’t cascade into them so if you wanted to you could play something like green suns zenith.
@@ZedR6 that is true. I guess I just specifically was thinking about the Green legendary X-spell

Definitely turning my Esika legendary tribal into this, have most of the pieces plus some extra spice in the creature slots.
Any reason youre not running mox amber? Would be able to cast it off Yoshimaru as well as being the best mana rock for this kind of deck
Would love to see Be’Lakor, the Dark Master Demon Tribal 😈
Unfortunately, the Demon is not currently on my list, it's so hard to find time and room on the schedule for so many commanders.
You can cast The prismatic bridge instead of Esika from the "cascade" ability
Also works with cards like Valki, God of Lies.
Thanks for the heads up, I kind of forgot about that in the deck tech.

I was using the Relic of Legends ability which bypasses summoning sickness.
@@vex_mtg oh man, I totally missed that ability. Thank you so much for telling me about that! Cheers!

Missed your Great Henge triggers. Should have drawn way more cards and put +1/+1 on everything
Totally! There's lots of triggers to manage!

Those commander aren't bad, I just didn't include them because they bring the salt out from the opponents.
@@vex_mtg gotcha see I’m trying to be with saltiest I can be so I’m having difficulty figuring out what to put in/ take out
Hey vex loving the new deck techs. I was wondering if you could do an animar deck tech I’d really like to see how you build it
I've tried to build and re-build Animar so many times, I'm just not happy with it. I will do a deck tech once I find the right deck.

Just go cascade crazy with animar that or elementals
Jodah is the secret commander in my Kenrith stuff of legends deck super fun
Jodah as part of the 99 seems like a lot of fun.

I don't think you can copy your timeless lotus since it's legendary.
You absolutely can copy it
You can but it gets sacked as soon as it enters
@@moreplease394 Right I understand that but I was just eluding to the point that one of them would be sacked.
Totally my bad, I was so excited for the Jin/Lotus interaction, I forgot it was legendary.

Pod is good for Jordan?
Oh is it, but I like casting things.
@@vex_mtg I don't know, maybe it is good?
how will path of ancestry trigger?
After you cast the creature spell, before it resolves.
In mtg Arena I saw that jodah casded into valki that turned to tibalt. Is that just a Bug?

This interaction is new to me, thanks everyone for enlightening me because I forgot Jodah isn't exactly cascade.
no. Jodah's ability specifically says to cast the cascaded card, so if you cast something with a higher cost, you can cast either side of a flip card.
What playmat is that? It looks dope
Where is that playmat from?🙌
How does the X in rocco cabaretti caterer interact with jodahs cascade ability?

He is pretty nuts after playing with it a few times. You could always keep the deck and play it at higher power levels.
