At this moment during match 3 you began to recognize how much opportunity those map tokens are in these situations. There was a play earlier on in this match in which you cast a ponder with a map token available and nothing really to dig for. In that situation, i believe its best to burn the map to bolster your threat and maybe "draw" a land or mill a card. If you cast the ponder first and need all 3 cards, you arent able to efficiently activate the map until you've cleared the top of your library.
Not criticism! Just a different perspective. Also, another great example of "owning up to your mistakes" after analyzing your prior plays.
Yeah they're pretty darn good. I had never gotten to play with Map tokens until this match so I probably missed quite a few lines. Criticism is welcome in the comment section!

Made some playtesting Yesterday and scam seems to be a hard matchup... The stupid double grief turn 1 destroy me everytime.
Scam is tough for sure, dropped another trophy to it today against goblinlackey Eli. It's just really swingy which makes me uneasy in the matchup, but very far from unwinnable. I think the main problem for me is my mental so I might have to run it through a couple leagues to really see improvement. Good luck in the tournament!

Really cool deck. Didn t cast sorin once , love the Strix and snapcaster. I played 2 dragons and they really cool.

I always force the brainstorm in response to thoughtseize, if they force it back (which they would probably do) is totally fine anyways.
Against decks really reliant on a certain card that seems like a good plan! I often try to wait as long as possible before trading down but I might be wrong about that

@@JamesKisau extremely! I love Jace in every build, I used it. My first deck with him was Blue Moon in Modern. As you mentioned, he is just very versatile and fits perfect in most control shells. In Grixis control, two copies of him even seem better than playing Jace + Sorin. Even if you draw the second copy, while you control one Jace... just use his integrated brainstorm.
Would love to see some more experiments like that. Maybe a retry of Nicol Bolas would be fun. I also tried Liliana, the Last Hope, but a Jace or Sorin just slaps more. Cheers

@@JamesKisau Dack taking some artifact, making opponent discard with Narset or wiping the board with bowmaster or two in play gives you that advantage! I never leave without him. :)

Would it be ok to run the second badlands as the surveil land instead of the second sea? I have two Useas but not two badlands.
Yes that shouldn't materially change things too much as long as you keep track of what red sources you still have, if say you needed to rely on a Polluted Delta to get an untapped red source in!
Stopping in to say that you are a pretty cool content creator. Hope to see you at an event sometime. You really seemed to lock in match 3 against days undoing cheese.
Lastly, if you would like some help fixing the audio in these videos let me know. I struggled with ambient noise in my streaming setup but its super easy to sort out in the OBS software. Look into the audio filters for your voice input. Turn your noise gate up then work on the threshold DB level. That will prevent the constant whirring/wispiness in the background of your voice audio. If that causes hitching in the pickup, you might need to add a basic voice filter to get things more fluid.
This isnt a criticism of your content. You seem to play very well and i especially enjoyed the first two games of this league in which you did voiceover AND self criticism in places where you disagreed with yourself. My main concern is how the audio quality is so clearly the weakest link in the videos. At some points its almost too much background for me.

Not at all! It is so very appreciated. People have told me they like that I don't have a lot of destructive ego about things like this.
Here's the thing I haven't been able to figure out- I do record using OBS and then edit with DaVinci Resolve. Coming out of OBS there's none of that static (recording with an Onyx Blackjack and Samson C02 condensers, same setup for vocals when I do music), but after rendering in DaVinci that's when the white noise shows up. Any ideas?
I think it's figured out- it was an issue with the incoming footage after all. One more league next week and going forward after that the content will be noise-free! Thanks for the feedback.

Not quite! 2 Jace is not something I often register but it worked out this time. The bulk of the list is what I’d consider core though.

Way back before Delver of Secrets when Zoo and Merfolk were big players there was mono black midrange deck The Gate and BW Confidant-Stoneforge Pikula/Deadguy Ale deck those played (sometimes even playset of) Gatekeepers

Yea that deck was so sweet. It had like Moxen, Lilianas, Confidants, Hymns and Top + maybe sometimes even Rituals, Vindicates and Scullers.
