It's a comfort and relief to know that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath. Mark 2: 23-28 "23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn. 24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? 25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? 26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? 27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath."
MISUNDERSTANDING (like Pharisees does)The problem, Pharisee put many other restrictions (laws) for the Sabbath3 Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the sabbath day. Exodus 35:3 KJV Bad interpretation, Moses tell to stop making fire for forging metals, event for the Arc or the temple of God. But for lightning, heating and cooking is not a problem. That's why the Sabbath is plural on Colossians. Follow the Sabbath of God, not thy SabbathS of men. 40 And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we BLIND ALSO?
41 Jesus said unto them, IF YE WERE BLIND, ye should have NO SIN: but now ye say, WE SEE; THEREFORE YOUR SIN REMAINETH.
YOUR HEART IS FAR FROM ME, NOT ENTER INTO MY REST (MY SABBATH)

10Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do ALWAY ERR IN THEY HEART; and they have NOT KNOW MY WAYS.
11So I sware in my wrath, They shall NOT ENTER INTO MY REST.)
12Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an EVIL HEART OF UNBELIEF, in DEPARTING FROM THE LIVING GOD.
13But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; LEST ANY OF YOU BE HARDENED THROUGH THE DECEITFULNESS OF SIN.
