I didn’t really find the blonde guy attractive at first but when I saw the way he treated Indy everything changed. He’s so kind and understanding. I want this kind of friend
This brought me to tears. In a world where people won't get involved because it's not their business and they don't want the problems, you hope there are a lot of Bryant's and his family because there are a lot of Indy's. ❤
Have you seen “I Am Somebody’s Child”, it is also on UA-cam’s free movies? A true story of Regina Louise. A must watch!!! I don’t want to say anything else about it, just in case you have not seen it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ have some tissues handy.
I Wish indian parents become this understanding and frank so we can also take advices from them about everything, rather than some friends, who are possibly in the same phase, with almost same level of maturity, as us.
Unfortunetly, my foster families abused me too. As long as there is hope in your heart, there is a promise for tomorrow. I put myself through College and bought myself a house. I know what love really is. The greatest gift is loving yourself.
Wow. I chose not to go into foster care because the abuse I was experiencing was predictable. I managed to escape at 25 some months ago after saving up money, getting a credit card and credit score to sign a lease all on my own, and moved out in secret. I'm not entirely happy yet, the pandemic made things tricky but I'm so happy for you!!!! Congratulations, you did awesome!
See the contrast between the two kinds of people. The utterly selfish greedy and the great young friend who greasciously unselfishly stepped back to let her know that he will still be her friend even though he lost her as his girlfriend and also the father of Bryan's unselfish wise way of taking care of the girl. True Love is when the other persons happiness is more important than your own.
This story is the best example to show the difference between your best friend and lover . Your best friend is who makes you fill happy and comfortable in every situation just like Max who knows everything happening to her But he never tried to take her out from that situation . And a lover is who can do anything to get you out from every toxic situation or people just like him .
In the beginning I also thought the same. But I guess the real differentiator between maxtern and Bryant was the money and class. Bryant has the house of his father where he could ask indy to stay, also he has his father's money to ask her for date in restaurant and the respect and status of his father because of which he is treated very nicely by Clarice even when seen with indy. On the other hand maxtern didn't have all these perks. He belongs to very ordinary background. He couldn't openly communicate his feelings unlike Bryant. It's because of his (middle class) upbringing i guess where one is not taught to openly express their feelings especially in case of love and relationship. He was hesitant, not sure of her feeling, fear of rejection or loosing on friendship with her. But as indy says to him in the end that he was there with her during some of her worst times. I accept that he couldn’t or didn't do some material or concrete things to make her situations better but in such situation even listening to someone is something to be grateful for. I was also offended by maxtern not responding properly to her call after that incident. And I still feel that he could have done better. But if I look through his perspective, then I think his rather cold response should not be seen in isolation. That's product of several things. 1. He himself was in a difficult situation at hospital. 2. He has been listening to her grievances for years and may be there would have some instances where she would have told similar incidents and that’s why he might have not been able to fathom the intensity of the situation. 3. Suppose, even he would have understood her situation and he wanted to her. But how could have he helped apart from just talking to her, comforting her emotionally. On the level of material help, I guess he was helpless. He was just a student like her. He might not have space like Bryan which he could have offered to her. Neither his father is a therapist and who has knowledge of all the legalities of the situation. Because on practical level all this was needed. Even Bryant talks to his father before asking indy to stay at his house. But I give full credit to the Bryant's father for Raising him into a such a gentleman. He is genuinely a very kind hearted person. He really understands the situations and is also very mature and respectful. Note- I don't completely turn down your point. Even my heart says Bryant is the hero. I idealises him. But on practical level I connect more with Maxtern personally because ideals are rarely possible or if it's possible then it's very rare. So right I guess I am like Maxtern aspiring to be Bryant. So considering Maxtern an underdog who didn't have a such a great father to fall back upon my mind compelled me to deconstruct the comfortable opinion and think against the grain😂
I love the fact that the dad is encouraging his son to be respectful, is supporting his son in letting the girl he likes choose, and is bringing his attention to his kind heart.
@mackenziegohdes yes. I say it again, 'You can't give what you don't have'. Bryan is from a home of love, kindness, care, respect.....and no wonder Bryan became like that. Its a movie to be recommended , a lot to learn if you are willing to learn. The most important lesson for me is two types of men shown in the movie "Problem-Solvers" and "Problem-Managers". Max never thought of bringing her out of the problem ,he didn't think far to the level of asking for help.....just stay calm, be good, do the dishes early ,try to make the breakfast early , don't leave any area unclean ,...just try to keep been used, maltreated, abused ,for as long as they give you shelter.
I appreciate how Indy, Bryan, and Max talked about their feelings for each other so openly and with respect. Things can be so much easier to solve in this way.
yap, the word respect to each one of them is really a good thing for me to wake up..based on my experience some of the young people today don't even care or even know about "RESPECT"
Me too' I can't help a teary eyed' I was frozen when I heard when she asked if the pan cake was for I WAS SO THOUCHED..I THINKS ITS THE BEST CINDIRELLA STORY I'VE WATCH. DIFFERENT PLOT I REALLY LOVE IT..THANK YOU❤❤❤❤❤❤
Randomly found this movie and godd this was good..... It was amazing... I've never cried this much over a movie before but I'm glad it was a happy ending. To all the people wondering if its worth watching, its definitely worth watching.... You're gonna love this ❤
Bryant acted as a person who is Really in love. Love is not about jealousy or competition. It's about wishing other's happiness. A wonderful movie.. Indy with such a kindness , deserves a very happy life and she got it..Indy❤Bryant

I'm glad Max knew what he did wrong and actually respected Cindy, other than the y'know (unconsented first kiss and guilt tripping her) but they're still friends, I'm happy with this.
Can we all appreciate that this is how teenagers should behave when dealing with "rejection". Seeing these emotionally stable teenagers is what we need more of in television shows. Open communication, respect, trust, friendship, moving on. Loved this.
HAH i wish I could behave like i “should” when i got rejected it took me months AND every night crying because i liked this guy for three years before telling him.. only to be assured that he liked one of my really good friends.. if only i could be more emotionally stable 😂
This is how ADULTS should behave when dealing with rejection. I hate to say this, but as a woman you will have to deal with this all your life; not abuse, but remembering to love yourself enough to veer away from abusive people. They are everywhere, even more so now. Equality for all is a steep hill this nation (US) has a long way to climb. Many of us who've been struggling up it for 50+ years...well you start to lose your ability to have compassion for people who are abusive because they believe you don't have the right to be happy because of your skin color or who you love. Be aware enough about your life to realize that while you may lust after someone because they are cute, it doesn't mean they're going to treat you well. If you have to make excuses for the way someone else behaves towards you, that person doesn't have your best interests at heart and is making you not have your best interests at heart either. When someone shows you who they are, believe them.
@@lynnc766 my amazing friends helped me get through it.. it’s been a few months and i feel significantly better than when it first happened. Yes, it took a long time to start accepting it. I cried a lot and it hurt to see him everyday but now that i haven’t seen him in a while it hurts a lot less. I’ve gotten to the point where i don’t even think about it every day.. although i do quite often when i have nothing else to think about. And also.. You wouldn’t want to continue life with someone who doesn’t think he can love. I’m happy you get along better now. I know for my parents it was hard because my dad told my mom that he wasn’t cut out to be a family man, and walked out. We still see him and i couldn’t be more happy to have my step parents in my life. It would be a lot different without them and honestly i couldn’t imagine life without them. I know i’m only 14 so some may say i don’t know what i’m talking about.. but really.. some things happen for the better and you just have to learn to appreciate it. I know for a fact that have
@@cassiebanks Absolutely. Adults need this as well, my point, they learn how to deal with emotions in childhood. If they are never taught how to handle rejection, that someone saying no is okay, boundaries, hurt feelings, they turn into dysfunctional adults. We all see it every day. Codependence, excuse-making, abusive relationships. If the parents are going to fail their children, at least being exposed to more content like this would be better for them.
What an underrated movie!! The fact it was a "Cinderella" movie with real life issues and less fantasy type stuff! Randomly clicked and boy am I glad I did 💕
Daisy, I agree this was pretty good, but you should check out Drew Barrymore's "Ever After". A period piece Cinderella where Cindy is not a victim. Best version I've ever found.
@@royvokey1592 They are compliments of each other... one defines and ways to deal with abuse, the other shows how to be an empowered person. They are both awesome! 💚💜👍🏽❤️✨
So, if you walked into a room and people were acting the way, the people were in this movie with that type of dialogue. You would think it was totally normal and natural and nothing about it would strike you is absolutely bizarre? I guess I just don’t see, how a movie with acting as bad as this when had in certain parts with dialogue as forced as a lot of it was could be considered real lol every other comment talking about how this is the most realistic interpretation of the reality of this sort of thing or that it’s the best version you’ve ever seen… I mean, this was like Hallmark movie quality corniness at points with acting in certain parts that was just so bad lol it was a inappropriate modernized take on the classic Cinderella trope… I guess another reason I don’t necessarily think it’s as incredibly realistic as I love you seem to think so. It’s because the most fucked up part about any of this is that most kids dealing with some type of abuse in the home, don’t get any help. Ever. So, I’m real happy you all think this fairytale isn’t just as much of a fairytale as it was, but what happens in this movie, the way it happens in this movie, that doesn’t happen in real life. Not the way it happened here. There’s nothing realistic about this movie.
The fact that Bryant, the whole time, only wanted what was best for Indy was my favorite part. In most movies like this, the guy gets all uptight and does crazy things to "win" to girl, but here he literally was like "You think you may want to be with Max? Well, if he makes you happy then go for it, but remember I'm always here too" and that's the kind of guy she deserved
I wish all teens could see this movie. Bryan is an example of a gentleman. He shows genuine care, and even when attracted to her, he exhibited respect and restraint. It was good to see a son and dad discussing things. And Bryan said she needed to figure things out with Macron. Then when he questioned that, his dad verbalized why he had done the right thing. So many good examples here. And then...the syrup. Wow! What should be family's everyday functioning was new to her.
Bryant is technically her stepbrother. I think they should’ve made her like the best friend more, this way it feels like she’s obligated to be with Bryant to make up for, compensate for all his dad and he did for her. Also he’s now her stepbrother...
I love this movie because of how mature Maxton and Bryant are towards Indy, Maxton is a good friend but he was too blind to Indy’s situation and was not there when she needed him but you can see their friendship is quite important, not much of a fan about the fact that he considered Indy his girlfriend without her knowledge and just kissing her the first time without much of approval.
The sad part was she, herself doesn't even realize that she's being abused☹ Like somewhere in this world, this is actually happening. No one deserves to be treated like this☹ Praying that things get better to those, never lose hope and never be afraid to seek help when they needed it so much. If there is someone that you know suffering like this, Let them feel that they are good and they deserve better. Good life, good environment, and good family. Be a family.
The trauma of losing her only support system, her loving mom and then thrown into an abusive family and dehumanized. So sad that she doesn't even know love or recognize abuse. She is so apologetic because she has only known hatred for ten years. This unfortunately, happens to kids in foster care.
I recently realized that this happened to me, I had no idea and I thought that I was the reason for my mothers suffering. She always went on and on about how she does everything for us but her actions betrayed her words and since she had been telling me this for so long I believed it. When I realized I was really shocked because I thought she was the perfect mother because that’s what she told me.
When your abused, you don't have the confidence to stand up for yourself and you tend to see the best in others. You keep hoping that if you do everything right then they will treat you better or at least you can avoid their wrath. Or you just shut down emotionally and withdraw to a space where no matter what they say, you'll just let everything bounce off you. Basically just dead inside. Its hard once you leave because you worry about how they will retaliate. Without a support system behind you to catch you, it can be really hard to leave.
The moment Maxton said he will call her tomorrow when she was reaching for help with tears in her eyes, it was the moment i knew that he doesn't deserve her at all. Remember Pink Sweat sang i need somebody who can love me at my worst, i felt that
This is a fabulous and definitely emotional movie with my drying tears. I have seen it before and the journey with Indy is heart wrenching yet beautiful as we all want to reach in and save her. A great lesson for life in these most trying times of today so let's all spread more kindness and love out there.
That was such a lovely movie! At the beggining I thought this is just another "I am not like other girls movie" but It was much more and to finally see Cinderela not only getting the boy but acually the help to get out of the home was super satisfying!
Thank you for a realistic Cinderella story. Yes, today you can get legal aid to help abused victims, But truly need kind people to help them. A refreshing movie in these evil times.
@@saksiyah981 what was realistic about it? Are you inferring that it’s common reality for people who are victims of abuse, particularly those who are in the foster system or not being raised by their parents, to have a wealthy family that happened to be professionally involved in this type of advocacy just appear and provide you with a place to live and way to escape the situation without having to shoulder any cost? Then also getting hundreds of thousands of dollars at the end of it? That’s realistic? No… Most people who suffer through this kind of abuse never get out of the situation. Nobody helps them and it never gets better until they age out of the Foster care or run away from home. This is different, yes, but realistic? No. Not at all. It’s a fantasy, just like Cinderella has always been a fantasy. and it’s a good thing, gives people something to hope for… But, I’ve just seen far too many comments about how realistic this is and it just isn’t.
It brought lot of memories of my teens and young adult life with so much struggle with a Disfuntional family and trying to stay focus in life. Thank God I had many good friends.
Movie is amazing, but I wanted to say young actors were excellent. They are all good, but Paris had a toughest job and she nailed it. All the emotional scenes, especially crying and talking towards the end after she runs, were super realistic. I hope to see her in many more movies in the future.
To be honest...I'm quite flabbergasted at the amount of healthy communication. 🤯 I'm so not used to it as most movies use it as part of the conflict. This was completely sweet and a nice unexpected treat to watch :) Very pleasantly surprised.
Yes it was a bit unsettling. In 'normal' movies they exaggerate in the other direction, but hese guys (especially the two boys) they were like Angels of Communication. No jealousy , no nastiness, pure respect and harmony and understanding i mean...it's akward!!!
May there be more and more modeling of congruent respectful communication in every aspect of humanity! Especially integrated in all levels of education.
coming from a childhood home with an abusive father, this made me cry alot. when the Uncle raised his voice and she started packing her bags i got immediate flashbacks.
I hear you... when she ran from the Bailey's on foot... I was crying so hard because a few months ago I packed my kids and ran for a shelter and we are now safe in our own apartment but I had to take deep breathes and kept saying "Esther! You're safe now, you're safe here! It's ok"
@@iyunoluolawuyias a kid who was in that situation. Thank you for being the brave and loving mother that you are. You’re kids are so lucky to have you and will be grateful what you did for your and their safety. It will get rough but talk about it. A virtual hug to you
I wonder really, how many children at ten could be brave enough to confront their abusers. She was just a very strong and together child or maybe she just decided what do I have to lose.
I just pressed on this movie randomly and It's really incredible. I couldn't stop myself crying while I was watching Cinderella's hardships... So, I really loved this movie).
Normally I love the cliched predictable cinderella movies. But this was a breath of fresh air. Finally focusing on the real mental and emotional issues of cinderella's life, not just kissing the prince charming
The last thing I want to hear in these comments is the word masculinity don't even don't even try it especially coming from a woman UC masculinity because the women wasn't acting like a b like you and your mama take that masculinity stuff in one of them manosphere or feminist channels
You can't have your cake and eat it too bhhhhh that's what happens when the power and a masculinity is invested into you women by the government an authority so don't you dare speak on the word masculinity when you're the main one that want to change a man don't even get me started
Wow!!!! Nothing i expected SO much better! The way she told off her aunt and uncle and then experienced true family!! Wow!!! Absolutely incredible movie!!
This was recommended by UA-cam and I decided to watch it With everything around happening I really felt better after this film such a sweet film. Loved the fact that there was no drama between maxton and Bryant like other films
Wow, this one really hits home. I lost my mom in a car accident and my dad was also in the vehicle. He survived, but he had a closed head injury. He was in a coma for about 6 weeks and in the hospital for about 2 years.
Honestly, the communication in this movie is really good. In real life, people don't really insist on going as far as Bryant did here, just to find out how okay someone is and help them also, indy herself does eventually ask for help to. victims themselves, in my experience, actually try to hide stuff..
I know this is just a low budget film but I cried multiple times. It's relevant and well written. It's on point when it comes to emotional child abuse. I myself have experienced physical and emotional abuse by my mom. Just like the main character, I did not know it was abuse at that time. The rest of my family were also my mom's victims including my dad. Until now, he does not acknowledge the abuse because he is still under her manipulation. Thankfully I have a "Bryant" in my life, my husband. He removed me from my situation and made me realize what I have been through. He made me see things from a different point of view to better understand what happened to me. This is the best and most relevant Cinderella story ever. ❤
I'm happy now you're happy ❤ and say thanks to your husband by my side he is a amazing person indeed! And hope you and your family stay happy wish you beautiful life ahead beautiful 💗
I too had a “Bryant” and we just celebrated our 20 yr Anniversary this past Oct 31. With 5 amazing kids and a foundation on Jesus … we made it! Lol I made it. ❤️🛐❤️🛐❤️✝️ Btw … My mom was a monster that still isn’t a part of our lives. Fortunately my husband (at the time my boyfriend) stood up for me when my mom tried to attack me, not only did she never do that again, I never had to live with her again.
I haven't seen a movie that has given me this kind of mixed emotions in a long time. I was not a foster child, but I was adopted, by two loving parents. Because my mother could't keep me, they we're not wealthy, but they gave me a lot of love, I was lucky. they have since passed, and I have my own children now, but I will never forget what they did for me. I am also a cat lover, I have a cat too, we have been pals for 15 years.

Everyone's talking about how Indy and Bryant met but no one's talking about how they highlighted on emotional abuse and how normalized it was for Indy that she thought it was okay. You people really let that fly over your heads. Edit: I understand that not everyone let it fly over their heads. If you're replying to tell me it didn't, stop yourself; I acknowledge your existance.
Those are the key words... thinking how normal it was to be constantly emotionally cut down!!! And how true that the abused one most often is told it is because of them, so they feel confused and guilty. What a great exposure to some of that and in such a gentle way of showing it that most anyone can learn from it without being totally overwhelmed. May this film help anyone who is in such a situation of emotional abuse, to start to recognize it and reach out for help... and get exactly the help they need to move positively forward in their lives. And when are we as a human race going to realize that all education will be at its best when it includes teaching and learning skills in daily life such as: being able to make yourself healthy meals, balance your own finances, be fluent in congruent communication, know conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, how to unwind in healthy ways, and how to do your laundry, clean up after yourself and manage your time wisely ... amongst so many other daily? When we have these basic skills, we will be better people because our inner tensions tend to drop when we feel confident. And when we begin to feel relaxed enough energy tend to be more generous with our kindness.
At first it seemed like a Disney channel movie. But it was super deep. Everything was handled maturely, and the characters were relatable. 10/10. Amazing.
Ok, at first I thought this was a cute movie, but after watching the whole thing, it's so much more. It really shows us how important it is to treat others well.
I sat down in the library to write a paper thats due tomorrow and somehow ended up watching this instead. This was the best use of my time. This is now my favorite movie.
Watching from Brisbane and is it just me or did the fact they are dating even though they’re foster siblings make you think of that case a few years back? Don’t know about America but here that’s considered incest🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
@@nutritionbykel watching from Qld too! Acting is awful and there are 10 cliches from A Cinderella Story and Mean Girls in the first 5 minutes...but I can’t stop watching!
decided to watch this at a moment of boredom and this was so satisfying! loved how they showed us what emotional abuse is and how victims sometimes don't even know they're being abused because this isn't as physical as the ones usually being portrayed as an example of abuse in traditional media
That was actually so smart… Making the tale about the abuse Cinderella goes through, and not about the romantic relationship in it. While it is true that the “prince” “saved” Indy in a way, he actually just gave her the tools to save herself and held her hand during it. That was a beautiful way to remake Cinderella.
I think what I like most about the main couple in this movie is that Bryant never met Indy disguised in some fancy dress and shoes. He met her as she was: a simple girl with real beauty and compassion who wanted love and a caring family. She only got the fancy dress at the end, when he already knew how beautiful and kind-hearted she was. And those open eyes to Indy’s true personality allowed them to grow together so organically and realistically compared to most other retellings.
Not gonna lie, but this was some amazing movie. I have a huge test tomorrow but this movie is so great I’m tearing up. You don’t come across good movies like this here and I’m grateful I found this
SAMMEEEEEEE!!! I love how that they didn't put the emphasis on relationships and that she and Bryant started out as real friends and nothing more until her problem was solved. Even more so that Bryant wasn't possessive of Indy and he even invited Maxton to come over whenever he wanted to. To top it off, Maxton understood that he needed to just be a friend to Indy and nothing more and had no beef with Indy and Bryant being together and even more so, encouraged them being together. And I lovveedddd how Bryant kept his dad in the know with what he was doing and went to him for advice, like that was BIG for me, Bryant was respectful to authority, this movie wasn't abt "true love" it was abt real life and how to help people that are being physically or emotionally abused. MOST UNDERRATED MOVIE EVERRRRRRRR
This movie was well and thoughtfully enjoyed. You really have to watch it all the way through to the end to appreciate the story. Very well done, thank you.
Wow. I'm speechless. I did not expect that, when I clicked... This is the best adaption of modern Cinderella, that I have ever seen. Authentic, non-dramatic, relatable and heartfelt. Really, really very well done!!
@@beastitaly The Grimm brothers punishment of the sisters was through their own vanity and greed... they mutilated their feet to try to fit into the glas slipper. They were at the very least crippled for life and may even have died of gangrene afterwards given the state of healing arts way way back then with something so severe.
This movie is a wonderful adaptation of Cinderella without all the fanfare and made modern. Who knew how relatable Cinderella truly is once it’s broken down to show the moral of the story in plain sight. I loved this.
Tbh, when I saw her shaking and crying near the tree after running away, it was literally heartbreaking and I somehow saw myself in her place. How trauma feels, shaking, sobbing, loosing control over emotions and to feel such confusion over who you are.
While some of it is realistic the majority is not. They couldn't quite figure if she knew she was being abused or not. And the relationships with the boys were not realistic. No boy would just believe someone is in a relationship with them because the girl needed help while sick, and then never say anything or do anything to express that relationship. The whole thing gave me a bad vibe. And getting her a cat at the end was it for me. No one should just gift someone a cat. They never even asked her if she was ready for a cat. She just ran away from home and is in the middle of a court case where she found out that all of it was using her for her money. A cat is not a toy.
@@shannonhensley2942 I think it was all very realistic. And yes, people can be exactly like those two boys. I think perhaps you have been struggling in your life and can relate to some of that, but maybe not the loving kind parts? I hope I am wrong and that you have a loving family and set of caring friends all around you.
@@shannonhensley2942 When it comes to emotional abuse it is very common for it not to be realized. It took me until I was in my 30's to start to realize and no one else in my life noticed.
Agree.. you’ve been so accustomed of being abused that you think you don’t deserve any good from life.. I felt like wanting to hug her.. I’m also a victim of childhood abuse and I feel related to her.. my sweety ..
I’m sorry for what it’s worth I believe that people who overcome abuse are stronger and better than people who cause abuse. There’ll always be someone willing to help you even if you don’t so. I know all that’s true. If anyone else has gone through what you’ve been through you could be the one to help them and support them too. That’s the best way to feel better about yourself and your problems helping and support others.
Okay, One: I was bored and this was in my recommendations so I watched it. I was not expecting it to be this good. Two: I'm honestly so happy that the triangle ended well and not in a mess. Three: Why is Bryant's dad so wholesome?
I love the fact that this movie portrayed realism and mental health rather than just romance. It definitely was refreshing to see how the 'love triangle' was respecting and comfortable rather than toxic and a 'you have to choose' scenario. I think that the actress did an incredible job in displaying the emotions that you would see in real life if you were in this situation. Overall, great movie, and I love how refreshing and realistic this was. edit: mom im famous!

Yeah, I agree. It tell an honest less fairytale story about the ups and downs of adopted kids. Sure not all adopted kids are treat this way but the unlucky few might.
This was one of the nicest movies I've ever seen. The boys were actually decent human beings who shared their feelings, with the main girl AND with a parent. Indie expressed how she was treated, she didn't try to be all mysterious. Because that's not how it is. When you live with abuse for almost all your life, it seems normal. I really, really liked it. Oh, and I cried, so 5/5.
Yesss exactly, so good and made me cry so much, such a good movie. I really love how respectful the boys were, incredible. More media needs to portray boys so respectfully 👏 👏 👏
I honestly thought Bryant was going to be a selfish, arrogant, rich boy. But he's not he really cared for Indy and helped her through her situation. Something Maxton should have done if he really liked her. It made me cry at the ending. Such a sweet movie.

Wow. I chose not to go into foster care because the abuse I was experiencing was predictable. I managed to escape at 25 some months ago after saving up money, getting a credit card and credit score to sign a lease all on my own, and moved out in secret.

Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrright
Loved this movie!!! The chemistry between Indy and Bryant makes me giggle like a crazy person….where are men like this? 🥰😍😢
I love the fact that the dad is encouraging his son to be respectful, is supporting his son in letting the girl he likes choose, and is bringing his attention to his kind heart.
That's really true
that's literally what all fathers should be doing, that is the bare minimum
@mackenziegohdes yes.
@@mojisolafadeyi1771 thank you for that clarification! I was trying to name the difference between the two.
That was a masterpiece.
I appreciate how Indy, Bryan, and Max talked about their feelings for each other so openly and with respect. Things can be so much easier to solve in this way.

Can we all appreciate that this is how teenagers should behave when dealing with "rejection". Seeing these emotionally stable teenagers is what we need more of in television shows. Open communication, respect, trust, friendship, moving on. Loved this.
HAH i wish I could behave like i “should”
when i got rejected it took me months AND every night crying because i liked this guy for three years before telling him.. only to be assured that he liked one of my really good friends..
if only i could be more emotionally stable 😂

Really, maybe I can learn something then. Here goes....

That’s the point of the movie, it’s to show a toxic relationship and an emotionally abusive home. That’s why it’s free
@@nadiashireensiddiqi they are just fostering her until she’s a legal adult.
One of the nicest and emotional movies I've seen in recent times. Emotional abuse is no joke and can leave long lasting scars.

True..... I really got happy tears for her when bryant gifted her a kitten......
The sad part was she, herself doesn't even realize that she's being abused☹
Like somewhere in this world, this is actually happening. No one deserves to be treated like this☹ Praying that things get better to those, never lose hope and never be afraid to seek help when they needed it so much. If there is someone that you know suffering like this, Let them feel that they are good and they deserve better. Good life, good environment, and good family.
Be a family.
It's happening to a whole lot more people than you realize too.
And that part sucks 🙁
@@esmeraldagems9487 It does suck I can imagine it in my head rn

I love how Bryant asked Cindy to give max a chance and how max was always talking then was like am good at communicating

I’m so happy you got good parents and are raising kids of your own. My condolences for their passing 🙏🏾
@@nadirimyers6643 Thanks Nadiri, I was one of the lucky ones. My children have grown into well adjusted adults, they are in there late 20's. They miss their grandparents, All we can do is work is with the hand we are dealt, life is good, it can be good.
as Philips cat, I can confirm because I'm his cat using a fake UA-cam account haha.

@@agarthalartey6868 hehe, what a good cat you are, fake Agartha YT account, AKA his real cat. You did right to open a fake YT and let us know. Thanks.

How could I ignore it lol those step parents are absolutely terrible- and the acting isn't rlly that good either lol but whatever
Really sad.
It didn’t fly over my head, this was a good movie with a very important message.
thats abuse?...
At first it seemed like a Disney channel movie. But it was super deep. Everything was handled maturely, and the characters were relatable. 10/10. Amazing.
Started off Disney, went a little Hallmark and went full LMN!
Ok, at first I thought this was a cute movie, but after watching the whole thing, it's so much more. It really shows us how important it is to treat others well.
The fact that she's going through a lot but has everything to her her disposal it's a nice one 😂❤❤❤
I sat down in the library to write a paper thats due tomorrow and somehow ended up watching this instead. This was the best use of my time. This is now my favorite movie.
Did you finish your paper?
😊❤️😎💜💪🏽💖💕
Same!
You ain't the only one bestie!
P. S. Hope you finished your paper in time tho
That's so me. I was in between researching for journals, I took a break to refresh, and ended up watching an entire movie..!

I really enjoyed this movie...no cutting corners no issues left unturned...2 handsome guys who weren't self absorbed...
Watching from Melbourne Australia. Who else read's the comments while watching?? Modern Cinderella..

Oh yeah. I also wanted to see how the aunt and uncle reacted to her being gone
I wanted it too badly 😀

I was disappointed they didnt show it
YESSSSS
decided to watch this at a moment of boredom and this was so satisfying! loved how they showed us what emotional abuse is and how victims sometimes don't even know they're being abused because this isn't as physical as the ones usually being portrayed as an example of abuse in traditional media
same here and now I am glad i did
me too!
It's sad but sometimes even the victims of physical one think it's "normal", usually also because of the emotional abuse. But you're completely right.

That one simple scene of her asking 'those are for me?' when Bryant asked if she wants syrup. That already made me tear up😭
Same for me, too. 😭
🥺🥺🥺
I was crying the hole movie 😂
Not gonna lie, but this was some amazing movie. I have a huge test tomorrow but this movie is so great I’m tearing up.
You don’t come across good movies like this here and I’m grateful I found this

That's so true and I love them
This is like the best Cinderella movie I've watched
Super deep and good. Way underrated. Agreed... great rendition
me tooooo but there is one on netflix tooo and it is just amezing

This is the most realistic Cinderella I've ever seen l
@Mary Black also the most hopeful, this time the evil stepparents get actually punished for their behaviour.
I agree! This was the best! Wish i had love like that!😌
I agreed 😁
@@beastitaly The Grimm brothers punishment of the sisters was through their own vanity and greed... they mutilated their feet to try to fit into the glas slipper. They were at the very least crippled for life and may even have died of gangrene afterwards given the state of healing arts way way back then with something so severe.
It was very very well done on all parts... and at least somewhat exposes emotional abuse.
To be honest, yes it’s a low-budget film, but it looks realistic. Unlike the others. It’s relatable!
Indys aunt and uncle are mad the indys dragging there name through the mud. Theregood name wasall ready inthe mud.

@Danny Gonzalez
This movie is a wonderful adaptation of Cinderella without all the fanfare and made modern. Who knew how relatable Cinderella truly is once it’s broken down to show the moral of the story in plain sight. I loved this.
This is the most realistic Cinderella I’ve ever seen

“Those are for me?” The shock in her voice, being a survivor of abuse I related to this moment so much🥺❤️
Agree.. you’ve been so accustomed of being abused that you think you don’t deserve any good from life.. I felt like wanting to hug her.. I’m also a victim of childhood abuse and I feel related to her.. my sweety ..
I'm sorry I'm sure you dont deserve any of this. Hope you get the love and the respect you deserve
“Those are for me?” The shock in her voice, being a
survivor of abuse I relayed this moment so much
I’m sorry for what it’s worth I believe that people who overcome abuse are stronger and better than people who cause abuse. There’ll always be someone willing to help you even if you don’t so. I know all that’s true. If anyone else has gone through what you’ve been through you could be the one to help them and support them too. That’s the best way to feel better about yourself and your problems helping and support others.
I cried a few times during this movie because I still feel like I'll never be good enough for my abusive parents.
Okay, One: I was bored and this was in my recommendations so I watched it. I was not expecting it to be this good.
Two: I'm honestly so happy that the triangle ended well and not in a mess.
Three: Why is Bryant's dad so wholesome?
that whole family is just 👌

This is just beautiful! the characters are written amazingly...this is how movies should be... I'm so glad I found it
I love the fact that this movie portrayed realism and mental health rather than just romance.

Exactly what is needed healthy friendship that have healthy boundaries
Yeah, I agree. It tell an honest less fairytale story about the ups and downs of adopted kids. Sure not all adopted kids are treat this way but the unlucky few might.
This was one of the nicest movies I've ever seen. The boys were actually decent human beings who shared their feelings, with the main girl AND with a parent. Indie expressed how she was treated, she didn't try to be all mysterious. Because that's not how it is. When you live with abuse for almost all your life, it seems normal. I really, really liked it. Oh, and I cried, so 5/5.
Well said from your side. I love movies which talk about true love.
