  • Headed over to ‪@2WR‬ Headquarters where Mario helps me go through my 2020 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R. We added a few upgrades like the Rottweiler Performance Stage 3 kit along with the PowerParts Seat and hardwiring in the Garmin XT GPS. Even threw on a fresh Dunlop Trailmax tire. She should be all ready for the 2022 riding season!

Been looking at the Rottweiler. I don't need it for the extra HP stock hp is just fine for me. I am not a racer like you and Mario. Will future maintenance be easier with it?
Happy New year to you and your Family hope to ride with you all again at the next ADV WWW. If you let me.
I wish I had a expert KTM mechanic friend close by Like you and Rusty.

Definitely look forward to riding together again on the ADV WWW and Happy New Year. I didn't buy it for the HP, as the 1290 def has more than I'll ever use. I did it for the future maintenance and the type of riding I do. After seeing that paper filter I like the idea of having a pre-filter I can take off and clean after a dusty ride and have that piece of mind of no dirt getting through. Also nice getting ride of all the emissions stuff and having some room under the seat.

@@mikec1254 I told Mario it was a double win for me as I got this installed and then next time I need to change the filter I'll have a back in the garage video to walk me through!

Nothing wrong with hauling your bike, now you're way better off for next year.
Great content, it's not easy during this time of year.
Thanks for pulling the weight so my fat ass has something to watch.

They say the paper filter is the best at filtering as long as it isn't getting wet. The Rottweiler is the way to go though for sure. I'm running all off their kit EXCEPT the air box. Still running the stock box with the foam filter kit.

The paper filter definitely did its job on my bike and was quite impressed with how much dirt it held. I just like the idea after each dusty ride cleaning it. I guess it just makes it feel like what I'm used to with a dirt-bike. I can def see doing it all and keeping with the paper filter after seeing how much it catches.

Nice! I've been back and forth on a Garmin XT. I think I saw Mario got one as well. Any review of them gonna come out when you get a chance to play with it?

I love mine. I know it doesn't work well with Apple computers for loading tracks but I use Windows and haven't had any issues. I had the 595 prior and disliked it due to not being able to see it. The screen on the XT is super bright and works well with gloves on. I don't have a single complaint so far.

anyone have any experience removing the throttle body? I have an amp ECU upgrade that requires the removal of the throttle body to access the TPC connectors. The manual says, loosen clamp screws and lift up. Yeah no!
