We were discussing loading up a killer Amalgam just the other day.. I do not hunt opc as i am a nice guy but i would put cargo extenders below deck, E Data, SNW Laan. TOS Kirk is also an option for the captain seat in a pinch. And the entry angles if they send a ship to defend is worth noting.
I only rarely hunt for OPC for the ISO that our little alliance doesn't always have in our territories. The main reason is how much time the game takes. For most materials I can just set out some miners and recall them later which is a very passive activity that can be accomplished while doing dailys, daily events, missions, etc. I don't do all the loops, focusing on just a few like borg, wave defense, borg cube and about half of the Bajoran stuff. It would be interesting to hear your opinion on which loops to prioritize when you only have a very limited time to play.
@mikes1689 Sadly that is something content creators are going to have to start doing for this game. Helping prioritize loops will be the most asked for video this year. I will add it to my list. Hunting for opc isogen might get better now with the bigger nodes. Should have a lot more meridians going opc.

@dickmartinsson Just be sure you only use Kirk on a ship with energy weapons.
